I'm interested in a Tiger 1050 and ended up here. What a great video, so well narrated and some great riding roads in your part of the world. Thanks from the UK, home of Triumph.
Good review! I'm taking care of my 95 yr old dad that's under the care of hospice here at home and is in his final days. I'm 62 and love riding. My 68 yr old brother died suddenly of covid related complications about a week ago. Very sad around here but on a bright note, my 24 yr old son will be getting this identical bike/year with 8k some miles on it, my brother's bike. I like power/speed but I've ridden this bike a handful of times over the years always been impressed. You're right, this is ABSOLUTELY the most comfortable seat I've ever experienced, and I've owned and ridden a lot of bike too! Everything is a quality on it, stainless steel brake lines, the stainless steel Muffler is absolutely beautifully built. My son just got a KLR650 for about $1800. I have to take care of getting rid of the bike, I'll probably give it to him for $2,000. Thanks for the review!
So sorry for your loss. 95 years. That is a full lifetime. My dad died a year ago at 86. Thanks for watching and for the kind words. I turn Sixty in a month. On a bike, I'm 25 again 😀 Ride often brother.
I had a 2007 Tiger as well. I loved it. Had a 2006 Triumph Sprint too. Which I also loved. They both had the 1050 motor, but the Tiger motor was tuned more for mid-range torque, and the Sprint had a better top end, although the Tiger motor does pull hard all the way to the top. Great bikes those Triumphs, and whatever tune it's in, that 1050 triple is a real gem.
@@OzarkHillsAdventures Hi, do you still have this motorcycle? I am thinking of buying a 2008 model here in Georgia. Stay safe and you are an inspiration!
@@owensmith1258 Thank you for watching and for the kind words. I sold the 1050 and bought a Honda CB500X. I can brave some adventure riding with the 500 more than I dared the 1050.
I have a 2007 Tiger 1050 as well. Simply the best! My brother lives in Stockton Missouri! Maybe the next time I come to visit I’ll bring the bike along and we can take a cruise! Enjoy your videos brother. Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing! I have a 1050 2010 SE ABS model and absolutely think it is the best all purpose bike out there even to this day. I had an FJR 1300 prior and the Tiger is way more confortable. I've done two Iron Butt Saddlesore 1600 (1000 miles in 24 hours) on it with no issues or discomfort. I do have a larger screen with an MRA screen deflector and a Corbin seat which makes a big difference. Stock kights sucks so need to change to wither LED or change clusters to Tiger Sport- 1000% better lighting. The engine is just about perfect, flat torque curve, plenty powerful and sweet sound. Love my Tiger 1050.
I have thought about an aftermarket sear, but I'm happy with the stock. Now if I rode longer trips, I would seriously think about it. Yeah, I have owned two FJR 1300. Loved the way they performed on the highway, but still not as comfortable as the 1050. I did go with LED lights.. Thanks for watching.
Wow, the Netherlands. Is that where Itchy Boots is from lol.. The TH-camr.. My brother has a 2013 Tiger 800 and he likes my older 1050 better. He says it rides more comfortable.
Hi, I'm planning on buying a 2008 tiger and your video really helped. Also wanted to say I loved this video. The roads you where on looked so quiet and traffic free. Looks a great place for bike rides.
Thank you Kevin for the kind words. They are amazing bikes. I really enjoy riding in Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas. Good luck on the purchase.
Nice review, I've just seen one for sale at a local Kawasaki dealer same year , color 12,000 miles he wants 4995. I might go check it out. Wow I've owned 40 bikes I thought that was a lot! You got me beat. Well thanks and ride safe.
Man yeah. Take it for a test ride. I think you will be impressed. I really like this color. I'm at 196 bikes now. I love to ride. You be safe also and thanks for watching.
Hi! Greetings from north of Spain. I've just bought one Tiger 1050 2007 67000km . I've driven along the Pirineos ( our first trip, me and my wife). Its a great bike for travelling. After watching your video I'll change the tires so maybe I could face to offroad. It is confortable, could be better if the standers would be lower. Thanks for sharing. New subscribe here!
Thank you so much for watching. Your right about the foot pegs being lower. I'm a sportbike rider, so that never bothered me. It really is a great bike for traveling. I have been all over north west part of Arkansas with mine.
Great video. I ride a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600, never thought I'd be thinking of owning an adventure bike. Good info you put out and awesome deal you got👍🏾. Ride safe
I have owned 2 Vulcan 1600. Great bikes. There is something very satisfying about riding down a gravel road, at slow speeds, that is very satisfying. Thanks for watching.
@@pps900 Hi SPP, in the end I did not buy it. Great bike, very comfortable, but its been nearly 30 years since I rode a lot and I felt I would get myself in trouble. The steering is way quicker that what I was used to. My self preservation gene kicked in.. Would definitely look at one again but at the moment I will get something with a bit less hp that is suited to my current skill level. A great bike for someone with greater skills than me. Cheers and good luck.
Gd Ozark, I can confirm that the tiger is the most comfy motorcycle cycle I have ridden ,I did not adjust anything just jump on and ride man I just love it thinking of buying it soon an 08 and model .thanks for the video man 😁

Hi Gene or is it Jean? Just seen your great vid here in UK in July 2024,I bought my first Tiger which is a 955i (2001)green in February this year but I'm now looking at upgrading to a 1050,maybe a 2007 model.Loved your video and I also like the colour of your bike but it's fairly rare here in that yellow/gold.Cheers
@GiantmanUK It is Gene. Thanks for watching. One of the most comfortable bikes I've been on. I do the color. And yeah, I've not seen alot this color. Good luck on your upgrade..
Nice review and extra plus for focusing on the comfort aspect of the bike, which is really what you want to know about a bike made for longer trips. That windshield and black plastic ruins the looks of the bike, though.
They really are amazing bikes. I couldn't believe I got this for the price I did. And it being in such great shape. Thanks for watching. You never know what I might be riding 😆
I raised the bars 1 1/2 inch and brought them toward me 1/2 inch. I did not have to extend anything but I did have to take them out of the holders they were run threw at the neck.
Great video...I am enjoying my 1050 too. I was wondering if you could provide a link to the bar riser you installed. I am getting throttle wrist pain on longer rides and perhaps a riser will help. Much appreciation.
Nice review. How did you run the cables and brake line with your risers? I know the ABS line gets hard to run as it is fixed to the frame and tough to get any more length on mine. Great bike. Thanks.
How is the heat management? I used to have a 2009 Sptrint ST 1050cc and ended up selling it because the heat out of the engine went directly to your legs and was unbearable. I tried blockers trying to divert the heat but nothing worked.
When I bought the bike, I had about three people tell me I wouldn't like it because of the engine heat. Yeah, I could feel it, but it never got so hot that it was uncomfortable.
As far as highway travel, 150% satisfied with performance and maintenance on the bike. Although, I did sell the Tiger because I wanted to do more off roading. And the Tiger was a little big to be going on the roads I was riding. It is still the most comfortable bike I've been on.
I am 6". If riding on the highway, is all you plan to do, it might be ok. But on dirt roads or alot of tight turns, I could see where a shorter rider, not calling you short, might have a little difficulty maneuvering this bike around. The bike is top heavy. If it starts leaning over, it is very hard to stop. If you are able to test ride the bike I would do it. And do some slow turning exercises on it. Like my video said, I think it's one of the most comfortable riding bikes out there.
