Ronnie will always be a big influence on me. I lived in Tampa from 70-91 and Stranger was a great live band with a unique sound. The second time I saw them was when they opened for Bryan Adams at the water park across from Busch Gardens in 1981-2, then I was hooked on Ronnie's powerful sound and style. I play their songs almost every day when I practice, that's how much I like the feel of their songs. I've worn out their "We Be Live" tape and CD.

After going to the Greg Billings Band farewell show last night, I had to come check out some Stranger vids. I saw them roughly 14 times in the late 80s early 90s. Greg's voice doesn't sound much different today than it does in this video. RIP Ronnie and Tom..

Stranger was the greatest band to never make it big time. They found a unique Florida sound and they played it to the end.

Awesome! Ronnie was the best guitar player ever!! I'd take him over EVH, and I love EVH. Stranger was such a great band and Greg's pipes were second to none also.

What venue was this? I was in the Air Force in Tampa Florida at the time . Later I became friends with these guys. I saw them at metro 107 late. But they were a fixture at Summer's in Lauderdale. I sold many cassettes for them at Camelot Music in Coral Springs. i also used to impress my dates by taking them backstage. I MISS those days. What I would give to see them all together again. RIP Ronnie and John.

I like the sound before and after Holt better. Keyboards weren’t necessary in Stranger. They just took away from Ronnie’s sound.

Ronnie was so talented, but all the keyboards ever did was take away from Stranger....another " GOOD " guitar backup would have kept them great.
