    I’m 5’2 and currently 182 lbs... ugh!
2020 is the year I’m turning my life around. I don’t love my body and it needs to change
Edit: About 171 lbs. I will like to mention I started at 203 lbs. In the month of April 2019 (I think). So, then I posted this comment and now I am 171 lbs. Also, I do NOT eat perfect everyday nor do I exercise everyday. Plenty of water and not overeating. Meals 3 times a day (w/snacks) and I never eat at night.
    Edit: I’m about 163-164 now!! It’s June
Edit: I am currently 156-157 July 2020. I’ve been back at the gym for about a month now. It feels good! I typically do weightlifting 4-5 days a week with cardio occasionally.

I’m 5’0” and I’m now fighting years of over eating because I was sick of people thinking I had an eating disorder when I was actually at a healthy weight. I was so determined for a long time that people should always see me eating and then I stopped with my athletics due to injury. I really wish people would understand that not everyone is an average height person and stop trying to make everything universally applicable. Thank you for taking the time to explain that weight is such a body specific thing.

This ties into something that really bothers me about the whole "all about that base" movement that seems to be so huge right now. The whole "no treble" part. Just because larger women are finally getting the media love they've deserved for so long, doesn't mean there is something now wrong with thin women. I consistantly feel like yelling at people that thin people didn't sit there supressing larger women and now need to be punished, or something. It was all different people of all different shapes and sizes, who work for marketing and fast fashion, all in an effort to make women feel bad about themselves so they buy more clothing. This mixed with the patriarchy (bah, I hate using that word. New wave feminism (aka women deserve to be more equal than men) has destroyed it with irrelevance and overuse) deserves the fill brunt of the blame.
This is something humanity always does, that makes me SO angry: overcompensation!
      Men get more than women?
Let's not just uplift women, lets also degrade men!
Larger women are being bullied over their size? Starting a campaign to uplift larger women, and convince people that thin women are no longer undesirable!
It's all the same, and it's all ridiculous. ---

I fully agree with you, but my issues started before Facebook even excised to make public shaming easier. In 2003ish? I got tired of always being screened for eating disorders at appointments, having the lunch supervisors stare me down in the lunch room to make sure I was eating, having everything come back to “when was the last time you ate” if I was feeling unwell (which as a chronic migraine sufferer was multiple times a week). It was definitely at a time when it was far less acceptable to be larger. When I turned 16, I decided it was just better to make sure people saw me eating all the time and never saw me go to the washroom close to a time when I had eaten, and it has just escalated since then (when I do start going back down to a healthier weight, everyone except my family gets really worried)
I would love some day to see body standards be less about how we look, and more about how we treat them.

@@melsoft121 I've had some of that happen since the early 90's, when a kid in my class called me "skinny" as an insult. I was hurt, but couldn't say anything about it because the kid had called my sister "fat" and apparently that was a much meaner thing to do. I also was asked if I ate enough, but I was a bottomless pit, so people didn't ask for long. That being said, I developed absolutely terrible eating habits because I just thought I could eat whatever I wanted. I'm in the overweight category for my height now, possibly treading into "obesse" territory. That being said, people still say "you look so much healthier now" and "I like you better with a little more meat on you."
What I had said, had literally zero to do with Facebook, so trust me when I say, I understand. ♡

I'm sorry that person just HAD to say what she did. You've made it very clear on another video as well as this video that your health tracker is just for you. I appreciate you sharing your ideas....I can then figure out what's good for me. I'm 4'11", so I'm VERY aware of how 1 little pound means to us....lol! I was 87 to 98 pounds for most of my life and my clothes seem to just hang on me.....so I always feel most comfortable between 112 & 114 lbs. (don't know if that is acceptable level....I need to research it. Currently I'm at 119 lbs. (yeah, I need to work on that), but a year ago I had jumped to 141 LBS.!!! because I had not been tracking my weight properly, so it's been a slow process getting to where I'm at, but I'm happy with my accomplishments. This is my first year to use a bullet journal and I appreciate your help. Best of Luck to you!! TFS.....

A great video! I, too, am sorry that you were criticized. You ARE very transparent and everything i've watched of yours has been presented with the preface of being personal opinion/personal preference. After all, journaling is personal. I am very grateful that you open up to us and share yourself as you share your techniques.
As for your techniques presented here....Oh, my! I'm a fan of ombres! Granted, I don't have a lot of videos under my belt, but this is the first time I've ever seen anyone strive for and get an ombre effect. I also like your writing over your writing in the titles. I also want to encourage you in that you do not have to apologize for trying to be healthier and/or setting personal weight loss goals. If others choose to be offended by the idea that a person can actually want to weigh less for health reasons, that is their load to bear - NOT yours. Best wishes from a 4’ 9-1/2” gal who gets it ;-)

I think it was a little rude of that lady to say you were promoting an unhealthy lifestyle. At no point, have you even alluded to implying anyone should do what you're doing, nor have you shown that there is anything wrong with what you are doing. Ignore people who try to bring you down. You're helping people who want to make a chart. Nothing more, nothing less. This is YOUR life, not hers. You're not promoting anything even remotely unhealthy. It's ridiculous that that person would imply, let alone outright say you are doing anything unhealthy. You're simply tracking changes to your body.
As someone who came out of the hospital a month ago (exactly, actually) with a diagnosis that I only caught before it killed me BECAUSE I was as in tune with my body as I am, I am really annoyed that this person tried to imply it was a bad thing to track your health in this way. I got a Bullet Journal for the purpose of doing EXACTLY that! Tracking health, weight, and exercise trends is not unhealthy. Obsessing over it is. Giving yourself goals to hit in a weightloss program you've previously run past your doctor is NOT unhealthy. Giving yourself arbitrary goals because you saw someone else do it, is. Rewarding yourself for hitting said goals is NOT unhealthy. Rewarding yourself just for losing weight, no matter how, nor how much, is.
Understanding your body, your limits, and talking to your doctor about the best plan for your specific body and lifestyle, is the absolute best thing you can do, and you have done nothing but promote that.
So don't let people make you feel like you have done anything wrong. You haven't. If anything, you've raised awareness about eating disorders, and possibly prevented some by reinforcing the importance of speaking with one's doctor about weightloss, body size, and over all nutritional health, before doing anything weightloss related. You are awesome.
(Sorry for the rant, it just made me so mad that that person put you down like that. I know you said that they said what they said respectfully, before leaving, but it was wholly unnecessary for anything to have been said at all. It's so evident that this is your journey, no one else's. So it is ridiculous for anyone to think you're promoting anything, for anyone, other than yourself. That person was a bully.)

As a woman of 5' 2", thank you. I was 95lbs in high school. I was active all the time with marching band and ate well. People always wonder how I could eat as much as I did and be so skinny. Like you said health is all personal, when I was pregnant with my son one of the only things I could keep down was a Slim Fast. And people would tell at me that I was pregnant and needed to put on weight and should be drinking this other breakfast shake instead. I tried the other one and it make me sicker. I took the time to compare the labels; guess what the same thing as far as nutrients! One was just marked for fast loss and the other as a quick breakfast solution. People need to get their heads out of their buys and other people's lives and worry about if they are living their best life. Not if we are living our best lives.

You made it perfectly clear that it is for you and everyone should check with professionals before doing a set up for themselves. In regard to eating disorders ...I do have an ED and most of this layout FOR ME PERSONALLY would trigger my ED. I'm NOT saying it is a bad layout because it isn't for some people just not entirely for me. What I can definitely use from the video is the monthly tracker. I know this video is old, but I wanted to thank you for expressing how important it is that it is what is right for you and how you feel. I had a nurse tell me wt least I wasn't obese now after losing a few pounds, and I had to tell her I had never been in the obese category for my height and build. I was a farm kid with a ton of muscle. She had no idea what weight I should be and seemer to think I needed to match her petite frame and tiny bones. If I hit 130, which is just below my ideal span, I personally feel severely under weight because my hands fit inside my hip bones, like 3 fingers deep. I am used to being the work horse with the solid frame so it feels frail and small for me. Other people look fine to me, but I feel wrong in my body. People get so wrapped up in numbers on the scale, and I feel like they forget there are more important factors than pounds and clothing sizes or that height and build matter.
I gained back all I lost last summer over the winter due to health issues and a busy office life where bad diet and snacking are almost a priority. I still felt fine though because the toning in my waist let my clothes still fit comfortably. It's a mind shift for so many. I know some will complain, but please know that many know how much healthier that full picture is regarding how you and how muscle doesn't impact the number the same and how important how you feel in your body is. We appreciate the full discussion and how you look at your goals and process. It's hard to find and can sometimes make finding an extra motivation boost difficult.

I swear I HATE whoever determined what our “healthy” weight should be based on our age/height. According to these charts, I’m obese for my age/height and it’s truly heartbreaking. Mentally, I second guess my self confidence on a daily basis and frequently changing my diet and workouts just to be considered “healthy” in other people’s eyes.
I never tried journaling to track my progress but I might give it a try after watching your video!

I'm 4'1" and this is really helping me! I'm very overweight (about 175), and have a plethora of medical conditions which affect my ability to digest food properly, lose weight, among other things and I also have a liver disease. I have gotten sick and tired, as a short woman, it is awful that people make fun of me for being fat and then also criticize me when I eat so little. It's like us shorties can't get a break! But I've recently been put on a special elimination diet, called the low FODMAP diet. Which means I need to keep a food diary! Right now I'm not focusing on losing weight, but I am focusing on managing my symptoms. Personally, as a fat chick, I think it's sad that our society sometimes idolizes being unhealthy (because yes, you can be fat and be healthy, but you can also be fat and not be healthy) for the sake of saving people's feelings. We should really all just focus on being our healthiest, happiest selves and mind our own business.

And it REALLY annoys me, when I tell people I'm trying to lose weight and they're like "whyy???", so I tell them how much I weigh and they're like "But I weigh 65kg, are you calling me fat???" Like, don't they understand thst there's a huge height difference... they're 175cm (5'9) tall, I'm 155cm (5'1) and we weigh the same. SMH everytime.

That person must not know that when you are shorter, you have to weigh less to be at a healthy weight compared to someone really tall, or everyone who was 4' ft. would be extremely overweight and really tall people who are 6' ft would be really skinny, which both are an unhealthy weight for their height. My healthy weight is 150 lbs, and I am 5'4" my mom is 5' ft and her healthy weight is 120 lbs. People need to read the facts before saying mean things. Wishing you the best on your weight loss journey.

my mom's healthy weight might be between 110-120 lbs, might not be actually accurate about her weight

If anyone is feeling empty, lonely, depressed etc, I want you to know that Jesus loves you, and He is the Only one who can make you feel true love, happiness, joy and peace. We need to repent of our sins and turn to Him and start living for Him and He will be there with you every step of the way.

Hi i can't believe that people would comment on content, everyone is different we are all individuals and what's good for you may not be right for somebody else, your only showing people idea's for journaling your not saying you must do this or that. I don't understand why people can't see that really strange we are all responsible for our own lives only we can make decisions about how we do things. Sorry to hear that that people would criticise you, I think you channel is brilliant it's helped me to set up my first ever journal I have taken a lot of your layouts for my journal but put my own content into the layout, so thank you for all your help keep up the good work I'll be following you all the time now. 🙏👌🕉☯️☮🙏

You short girls seriously make me jealous. You guys can find clothes to fit...for the most part. All my pants are high waters lol. As far as weight my ideal weight is 190 at 5"11- I'm 6ft on a good day I'm currently sitting on 245 so I have a lot of work to do myself. Good luck on your goals

I love this video! Thank you for sharing some weight loss spreads! I have incorporated some in my new bujo. Sorry someone felt the need to put you down. You’ve clearly said you aren’t an expert, they didn’t listen or pay attention obvi! Everyone knows what’s best for themselves! I personally don’t go by charts, I go by how I feel and my doc’s recommendations. Technically I’m considered obese, but if you saw me you’d laugh. I run, road cycle, mountain bike, swim, kayak, and CrossFit. I’m far from obese. You’ve gained a new subscriber! ❤️

I'm sorry but if someone thinks that you are displaying bad behavior they need to check their thinking. You are displaying how you log your fitness. You can't help how tall you are and your body will only hold so much weight to be at a healthy weight just like a tall person. Are they crazy or just jealous? I know, my daughter is 4'9" and she is extremely overweight due to an experimental medication that saved her life as a child. Now as an adult she is fighting really hard to work it off. Not easy because it has to do with her hormones but she tries all the time. I see people doing worse things by overusing the Apple Watches and trying to do a million steps a day and outdo their friends and family members. Stop with the negativity and just embrace the idea that someone was trying to show you how to do something to have a healthier lifestyle not just to lose weight. Try being responsible for our personal care that we forget about each day. We run a a mile a minute doing nothing because we want everything in a minute just like a microwave with no patients. Slow down and do something good for yourself and track that progress, just like she did. You go girlie. I like your log.
