- A father spoke about how he took his teenage daughter out of the care of a Phoenix Hacienda Healthcare facility, the same facility where a woman in a vegetative state gave birth.
It's seriously time to put nanny cams in every room...so the family and others are always watching...no excuses..there are ways to have patient privacy as well as constant oversight...
How do use these nanny cam, cost?, features? I want cam to watch bad neighbors here loitering my front door.
This whole situation is sickening! You have to be a special kind of disturbed to do those kind of things to helpless people.
If the child was born Dec. 29th, it means that the woman was assaulted in late Mar. or early Feb. Of course the perpetrator is a man who had access to patients at that earlier date. Another horrible thought is: How long ago was it that this man or these men have been assaulting patients at this facility? It shouldn't take a good Police Dept. long to get these answers.
Joe Sitter I think she had been assaulted a long time prior to that date but never got pregnant. Whoever was doing that to her probably thought he would get away with his crime. What a sick person.
Patricia Vidal you're probably right. I was thinking that the same guy may have assaulted multiple patients and, there could be more than one perpetrator and they may have been doing it for years. The authorities have said that it can take a long time to get DNA samples from every suspect if they refuse to consent. The police or FBI in that case would need to show probable cause to a judge to obtain a court order to force the sample. The thought of this really makes me so angry.

@@devinngeorge l heard multiple times sexually abused.Staff had to have heard her moaning for quite sometime, before the baby came. We have multiple staff speaking up, i heard staff say someone was always at her side with 15, min checks and said she was tube feed so in my opinion its pointing to a staff. I did hear that it wound take a patient in her condition longer to deliver.So she was in pain for sometime,this is very upsetting.So staff set around listening to her moaning not knowing why until the water broke and bed was wet or she had a bowel moment and they finally check to see what was going on. families w love ones in nursing, home facilities w family members unable to communicate got to be extra worried about this type of abuse , Its just heartbreaking so sad this touch a nerve for me in the worse way.. That book you write in to let ppl know you been there, thats good but not concrete if you know what i mean, no one ask for ID,do they.. Why camera not a must for patients safety as well as staff,also so families can have that peace their family members are in a safe place. New security Changes need to happen immediately at all these facilities.

The most vulnerable are at more risk of harm than we care to acknowledge.I've had experiences with loved ones in facilities and a lot of the staff would be just too lazy or unconcerned to follow the rules in place. Anybody could've done so this. Anybody! A contractor,a fellow patients family member,the yard man,volunteer groups..... Everybody needs to be a suspect.
Check tbe male CEO who quit. He also got mad and refused to report another incident in 1998 according to an interview of a former employee.
Look at James cason's comment below! He is saying that he hoped the perpetrator cleaned her private parts before raping her! Maybe he is doing this to ppl or is the man u r looking for!

Someone knew this evil was going on, someone saw something, one time or another, just did not say anything for whatever reason.
What the state official and the police need to look into is why this patient was on 15minute checks in the first place as stated in a interview with a former employee. A documented incident of some nature caused the facility to set up a intervention and implement the checks.
The fact the staff didn’t notice is way to fishy. DO THEY NOT BATHE HER !? how don’t u notice a basketball sized stomach ? Staff has to be investigated to make sure there not in on it and allowing it. Because this makes ZERO sense to me.
How did the family didn’t notice either , probably didn’t visit her much in those nine months !? Money from the lawsuit will help with that now , so sad.
They need to take dna of female staff to one of their family members could use visiting them at work to shield darker intentions

Did you know that many women themselves aren't aware of their _own_ pregnancy until the very last weeks or right up to the moment they're actually giving birth? Pregnancy affect people very differently and that includes how much "showing" there is. We all thought that my sister's son would come out severely underweight given that she'd hardly put on any weight and was not showing at all.Turns out the little bastard came out weighting just under 8lbs so my point is you know nothing you orangutan supporter!

The problem is how so many of these places are not regulated right. Laws need to change to require the right number of workers to residents. Full background checks, drug test at random (Every three months at least), better pay for everyone especially CNAs, cameras in each room (with video uploaded to a different place so the place can’t delete it. Like say family members PC), and require better documents on those getting the skilled care. Otherwise places will keep abusing those in their care. Trust me many places just don’t care. The nurses just ignore everyone or abuse them. CNAs do all the hard work for little pay, but can’t always get to everyone, due to how many patients they have per CNA. The places don’t bother to stop taking people without enough workers. They just want the money. Even if CNAs end up with 25 or so patients (Way to many to take care of in a shift).
Change laws and things could get better. Problem is to few care to force places to follow current laws even, let alone new ones.
What kind of sicko is this dude and he was allowed to work around people like that it's hard to believe that he has went thur his whole life without getting caught for something sick and twisted I wouldn't think this is his first time people just don't wake up and decide to do something like that today they been doing things along those lines for a long time.
Oh ya at this place workers were bribed to keep silent about abuse or neglect. They also said they feared the owner I think it was. They got told to keep quiet about things.
Test everyone who has been in there in the last 9 months or so

Take care of your family please believe you get a check for doing it so it's not taking any of your funds if you're that lazy and don't care then I understand but if you love your loved ones take care of them yourselves

He’s not the victims father .. he’s a father of another patient who left because of concerns over that place .
And it could have not just been someone working there could have been someone visiting as well so you got a lot a lot of questions to ask a lot of other people not just the staff members could be somebody just walked in there and visited their family members and noticed she was alone for a long time and did that horrifics thing to her

I'm not trying to be rude or none sympatheticbut as a parent where were you the whole nine months that you didn't know that your child was pregnant you didn't go visit her you didn't notice that.sorry for what had happened to your family but as a parent I just wonder why you did not notice.
She may be overweight or the medications she's on caused low birth weight and the baby was in a sedated state and didn't move much or at all. I'm sure the baby may have been born addicted to painkillers the mother was on, or benzodiazepines she could've been taking for comfort as well, so sad all around. And how do they one day explain this child's birth story to them?
this kind of patient has erratic periods or none at all for long length of time...plus if you already have a protuding belly...how would anybody know? I know of a few folks who had delivered a baby and had NO IDEA they were pregnant so...however, this is so terrible to be raped by someone who has a job of "care giving".
