Utterly extraordinary, this guy shouldn't make videos in which he's expected to speak if he can't pronounce the name of one of the world's most well known cities properly. Hell, it's probably the SIMPLEST city name, at that. Unbelievable.
Alex Alex Right. it's not like he mispronounced it once or twice, but continuesly saying it wrong. And I know they said the name in the game a few times so there is no excuse
This game is pretty fun. I cant help but get the feeling that they rushed it. I feel like something is missing from it. If this game released in 2011, itd be game of the year.
We're not getting Agents of Mayhem 2, instead we're getting a Saints Row reboot that tries to keep the wackier tone Saints Row the Third, and Saints Row 4, and let's just say the overall reaction to the reboot is not that great.
Tom Green I'm loving it so far! It has a different twist on the open world aspect but also feels like saints row while also feeling like it's own game it's pretty damn good fun to have!
*STRENGTHS -Animation cutscenes and intros (This was a pretty good touch, Saints Row could pick up on this) (Hard to do so with a customized character but still...they need to try) -The bare-minimum concept (a team of original heroes vs an original evil organization seems okay) (Should've been a completely different franchise label from the start though) -The futuristic city of Seoul is beautiful (but depth has always been Volition's Achilles Heel) *WEAKNESSES -COMPLETE lack of a customizable character -Hammy unoriginal play style (feels too much like Overwatch, Crackdown, Marvel Ultimate Alliance) -Too little of Johnny Gat -No mention of any of the other Saints, especially Kinzie (different universe or not, doesn't deflate my point) -Not really any mention of any easter eggs from any of the previous Saints games -Graphics of the gameplay could be better -Trying to connect to Saints Row while trying to separate from it entirely at the same time (PICK ONE, you can't have it both ways) -The lore isn't that enticing and it lacks ambition -The characters aren't that relatable or memorable -The plot lacks substance (This may be Saints Row's weakness as well, but customization eases that particular pain) So, 2 strengths and 10 weaknesses. Has about as much stability as a Michael Bay film. FAIL!!!!
on a slight upside, the pre-order bonus Agents will be released as DLC ( Volition themselves confirmed this in response to a tweet I sent regarding the inclusion of both Johnny Gat & Pierce in this game )...still, can't wait to get this, looks like fun
Rpg element is barely any, city is very small compared to all other open world games, PC and consoles have different preorder character (Gat for PC, Lazarus for consoles) so either way you need to buy another one when it releases if you want them all, gameplay is bland and there are 15 difficulties which only make enemies deal more damage while making them even more bullet spongy. Also there isnt even COOP in it! I was so excited for this game and now I feel so damn disappointed.
I just want a saints row that shows what happened after the 4th game, like do they fix earth? Build some time machine or shit like to do so. We don't need dumb games like this, it's not helping the series what so ever.
Play Gat out of hell. But here is spoiler if you want it because of 4 endings. This game is based on the one of 4 endings where God asks Gat does he want to restore earth because Zinyak destroyed it but it will be like Saints never met and Gat agrees on that.
silvafox07 yah ik all of the endings. But they also left it off with ending of finding a new world with barbaric beings on the or whatever, saying it'd be their toughest fight, it'd be great if they made the next game on that.
Already on sale today, bought it, played it for one hour, and requested a refund, it's boring and bland AF, combat feels extremely sluggish compared to the last Saints Row games.
2 frustrating things for me: Price and preorder bonuses. 60usd for new ip is too much.i'd pay the full price for new saints row, but not for this.and I don't like that Johnny Gat is being limited by being a bonus. I understand what they wanted, but still don't like it.
Here is one more thing to frustrate you. Gat is preorder bonus for PC while consoles get Lazarus (she looks cool, like Jack from ME) so no matter on which platform you pick it up, you will have to pay for one of those 2 characters if you want them all.
there's no character customization and you can't make your own avatar? so everything that distinguished saint's row from being just another gta/crackdown rip off is gone?
that's what I was asking. if it's made by the same people, and it's set in the same universe, and if they're using the saint's logo on anything in game (and they are, I saw it in the trailer), then it is in fact a saint's row game.
Truth is, most games have hit the wall. Im bored by most of the new games. They're all the same, tired open world concepts. We need another crash, like that of the eighties, and hopefully, it will birth fresh, innovative and fun games again, like nintendo did with the nes.
Swagnemite 648 Saints Row *2* is overrated by the "fans". It's basically the same map from SR1 with an added small island. Saints Row 3 was the best one. The series was always meant to be over the top fun, not realistic gang shit. GTA series was the more serious toned sandbox game. Edit: This game is a spin off and I have no interest in it.
Saints Row 3 is terrible, there's nothing to do in it, it's fucking terrible. People say 2 is the best because the game has more to offer besides the main story, side diversions are more varied and give you better rewards, the city and its pedestrians are more dynamic and have better behavior that are fun to interact with, and the customization allows for more options than SR3 does. Sure people dickride 2 all the time but it's for good reason, it's a fun game with a good story and fun world to interact with, 3 has none of that.
Roman Slave you clearly have not played the first 2 games, a lot of stuff was added to stillwater in SR2, you could go from a destruction derby, to a prison, to a cave. The city also feels more alive. Sr3's steel Port is just a dark city that is boring, there is nothing to do in it and there are no memorable locations. The npcs all look the same and nothing is special about them. SR was never an over the top game, the first 2 are much better than the newer ones
Repetitive boring content, city is lifeless, no character customization, no co-op, microtransactions in a single player game. Think I'll pass. Hit me up when Voltion pulls their heads out of their ass.
"Agents of Mayhem is not saint's row" Lost me right there. We want a new saints row, not this fucking consolation title bullshit. This will go the way of Fable Heroes. It's a game no one wants based on a game everyone wants that will launch into failure. Saints Row V or go home Volition!
HeroTheHero he gave it a chance by watching this review. I was under the impression the purpose of the game was to battle Crackdown. I legitimately made the comment "Crackdown Killer?" and I am a (reasonable) fan of Crackdown. This... is nowhere near 'that' caliber. and that's *okay* but you still have to call it what it is. And it's weak, overall, mostly due to lack of replayability. As homie above me said: "NOT for $60!"
I don't want to give it a chance, I want them to give us what we asked for. They could have taken the GOH alternate ending on where the Saints find a new planet and proceed to conquer it. There's plenty they could have done in that universe.
I I And they are going to fail because there's a whole audience of people who see this type of thing as a spit in the face and will never put money towards it.
Seoul is pronounced Soul not Seal.
st fu thank you, that was annoying the hell out of me
That drove me nuts too.
It's actually pronounced 서울. Check yourself.
This game is pretty fun. I cant help but get the feeling that they rushed it. I feel like something is missing from it. If this game released in 2011, itd be game of the year.
It's good hoping for a sequel only 1/7 of the Legion gets taken down by completion so definitely needs a sequel
We're not getting Agents of Mayhem 2, instead we're getting a Saints Row reboot that tries to keep the wackier tone Saints Row the Third, and Saints Row 4, and let's just say the overall reaction to the reboot is not that great.
Seal is a Singer...not a City. :)
its also an animal
Soul not seal
I have been waiting for your review before i decided on buying it or not, definately going out and buying it tomorrow now
Tom Green you might regret that m8
Tom Green I'm loving it so far! It has a different twist on the open world aspect but also feels like saints row while also feeling like it's own game it's pretty damn good fun to have!
Tom Green
One year later… how did you like it?
*STRENGTHS
-Animation cutscenes and intros (This was a pretty good touch, Saints Row could pick up on this) (Hard to do so with a customized character but still...they need to try)
-The bare-minimum concept (a team of original heroes vs an original evil organization seems okay) (Should've been a completely different franchise label from the start though)
-The futuristic city of Seoul is beautiful (but depth has always been Volition's Achilles Heel)
*WEAKNESSES
-COMPLETE lack of a customizable character
-Hammy unoriginal play style (feels too much like Overwatch, Crackdown, Marvel Ultimate Alliance)
-Too little of Johnny Gat
-No mention of any of the other Saints, especially Kinzie (different universe or not, doesn't deflate my point)
-Not really any mention of any easter eggs from any of the previous Saints games
-Graphics of the gameplay could be better
-Trying to connect to Saints Row while trying to separate from it entirely at the same time (PICK ONE, you can't have it both ways)

So, 2 strengths and 10 weaknesses. Has about as much stability as a Michael Bay film. FAIL!!!!
I paused the video and start laughing when I heard the word "SEAL" AHAHAHAHA
You couldn't explain it better. It's not Saints Row and people should get it. It's a fun game if they give it a chance.
I'm gonna be the only person who enjoys this game aren't I??
ScarletImp2113 im with you no worries
ScarletImp2113 nope I'm going to enjoy it like I always love saints!
ScarletImp2113 no. I've been looking forward to this game for over a year
ScarletImp2113 I'm loving it so far
yes you by yourself.
on a slight upside, the pre-order bonus Agents will be released as DLC ( Volition themselves confirmed this in response to a tweet I sent regarding the inclusion of both Johnny Gat & Pierce in this game )...still, can't wait to get this, looks like fun
Ive played some of it, best overall review: Looks great, plays okay at best.
Thank you for being the only fair reviewer of this game thus far.
Great review GAMINGBOLT :)
Your points describe Marvel Ultimate Alliance or LEGO DC Universe
People who say thats not saints row yes its not its a spin off go to wiki and read
I just want a saints row that shows what happened after the 4th game, like do they fix earth? Build some time machine or shit like to do so. We don't need dumb games like this, it's not helping the series what so ever.
Emox dumb down..... O.o did you PLAY The last game?
Emox did you play gat outta hell? It shows what happen
Play Gat out of hell. But here is spoiler if you want it because of 4 endings. This game is based on the one of 4 endings where God asks Gat does he want to restore earth because Zinyak destroyed it but it will be like Saints never met and Gat agrees on that.

Seems like one to wait for a deep Steam discount.
Misgnomer Productions Yeah will be selling for 10 usd in a few months just like all SR games

Johnny Gat is a Gamestop pre-order bonus for consoles. So if you didn't pre-order at Gamestop, you'll have to pay for him on consoles.
These days new ip's are all 60$ for the most part. I agree about gat being a pre-order bonus though.
I just bought the Mayhem Bundle for $5.99 on the PSN sale 35 minutes ago... Yea it's worth it for $6 bucks
Is the black haired white lady from the animated sequences one of the playable characters?
Yes, I think you mean Joule.
I meant the boss, but I saw some gameplay and Joule does seem really cool, wasn't even aware of that one.
7:32 Wtf is a "carton style"
I posted a lot of Saints Row content, not far-fetch'd I'd check out an Agents of Mayhem review :P
Nikki Wright Really?
The game feels like rental quality, nuff said.
Is this good with mouse and keyboard
It would seem so. I'm pretty sure the PC port isn't great but I think it controls fine.
i have a feeling it will be good after a few patches
the class thing reminds me of conker live and reloaded multiplayer
I like this game
there's no character customization and you can't make your own avatar? so everything that distinguished saint's row from being just another gta/crackdown rip off is gone?
clericofchaos1 they said it's not a saints row.....even though it looks and feels like it.
Yep.
oh? it's not made by the same people and set in the same universe?
clericofchaos1 It just isn't Saints Row though is it.
that's what I was asking. if it's made by the same people, and it's set in the same universe, and if they're using the saint's logo on anything in game (and they are, I saw it in the trailer), then it is in fact a saint's row game.
Seal is the city? Sweet.
I actually liked this game.
looks like fun
WAAAIT. 2 characters are preorder exclusive?? Fk it then
Truth is, most games have hit the wall. Im bored by most of the new games. They're all the same, tired open world concepts. We need another crash, like that of the eighties, and hopefully, it will birth fresh, innovative and fun games again, like nintendo did with the nes.
See-ull? Dude? See-ull?
SEE-ULL?? Where did you get this guy??
So... basically the Saints Row franchise is much better.
I fucking knew it!!! lol
Vernon Hopkins you're calling this good? Just play SR2 and you'll see how shit SR has become after SR2
Swagnemite 648 I have Saints Row 2 and all the DLC to that game and I still don't play it. lol
Swagnemite 648
Saints Row *2* is overrated by the "fans". It's basically the same map from SR1 with an added small island.

I rate this review 1/10 for bad Pronunciation
Do you not know how to pronounce Seoul?
Should have allowed me to customize my character instead of playing these shitty characters.
It's a rental game
He gave it a 7.... Well seems a little high but ill take you're word for it.
How the hell did you just pronounce "seoul"??? Credibility just went out the window. 5:11
I really don't know why people love saints row so much...the games are super average if not below average and lackluster
Phil Owens I loved Saints Row 1 and 2. After that I played them just for the humor and co op. Very average but I had fun with them
Nope
Repetitive boring content, city is lifeless, no character customization, no co-op, microtransactions in a single player game. Think I'll pass. Hit me up when Voltion pulls their heads out of their ass.
There are no micro-transactions
The poor man's Crackdown
Notyourtype crackdown would've been the same price as this when it released
Crackdown is even worse then this
@@lukebrunker264 I made that comment before the new Crackdown came out but ya Crackdown on Xbox 1 is the worst shit ever
Notyourtype hahaha
"Agents of Mayhem is not saint's row"
Lost me right there. We want a new saints row, not this fucking consolation title bullshit. This will go the way of Fable Heroes. It's a game no one wants based on a game everyone wants that will launch into failure. Saints Row V or go home Volition!
Even if they made saints row v instead of this it'll be a disappointment. It'll play just like AoM and idek how they'd continue from iv to v.
HeroTheHero give it a chance when its 20 buck maybe 30 but not 60 fuck that.
HeroTheHero he gave it a chance by watching this review.
I was under the impression the purpose of the game was to battle Crackdown. I legitimately made the comment "Crackdown Killer?"

7/10 XD
Will you pleas replay
...are you telling me I can't abuse the character creation slider and come up with my own wacky avatar?
0/10. Worst game of the year
Seal??? Jesus Christ, seriously this is basic pronunciation. Awful quality on this video.
