      if you have not already subscribe I will probably get similar car you like. I noticed most of the people that look at that panamera have had amg Mercedes and look at similar Audi as well. I do reviews of most of the ones I have bought and sadly after having them for the time I have I realize that should have bought with different options or different car totally.

    Dealer just told me that intermittent failure to over-night charge on my Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, was due to the latches on the charge plug not fully engaging and I needed a new charge pocket, at a cost of around £1,100. When in the UK ,I live up a long rutted farm road and the other half of the year I am at my French house in Provence (Tourtour). Over the summer it is very dry, windy and dusty there, as my house is at the edge of a 1,000 foot high escarpment. I had a look in the charge pocket and I could see a lot of dust. I flushed it out thoroughly with brake cleaning fluid, blew it out with compressed air and lubricated it with the dry lubricant, my wife uses on the chains of her bicycles. Now the plug locks in first time every time. I have often problems in winter when I have not used the car for 10 days or so and the temperature is below freezing. The voltage of the 12V service battery is too low to allow the various ECU's to wake up and all you get is an error message and no start. I now keep a 7 amp CTEK MXS 7.0 charger in the boot to plug into the accessory socket. Usually 30 seconds of charge is enough to raise the voltage enough to permit a start, when you can then unplug the CTEK. It would have been sensible to have a battery tender permanently connected to the high voltage input, so that when the car is plugged into the traction battery charger, the 12V service battery was also kept topped up. Seems to be a VW group thing, as Bugattis have the same problem if you don't connect a battery tender if leaving for more than two days. The factory have to send out a man with a laptop to reinitialise in that case. Also had a lot of problems with the VTS (Vehicle Tracking System) and just had to have the VTS aerial replaced (out of warranty). I think the main VTS module is going to have to be replaced soon as well, as has twice needed to be reset. That is expensive. Poor reliability compared with my previous 911 cars.

      Ya I'm very disappointed with Porsche reliability as well. We have had problems with all Porsches besides the Cayenne. For sure the battery really dies fast. My c63 I can leave a month and it will still start but for the Porsche we have been using a trickle charger. Have you gotten fed up with the panamera yet and changed it?

    thank you posting this - looking to buy one for my dad but used, i think we might just get the non-hybrid version...

      Ya would be better unless u think he will drive it less then 17 miles then battery will still useable. To be honest the 2.9l motor has a lot of problems to. They borrow this motor from Audi so you get lots of problems like failure to the rockers. It’s happening a lot. The 3.0 motor was a lot better or if you can stretch to the 4.0 motor. Also look at lights they all have problems with condensation and Porsche in my cases never replaces them under warranty like my case with Mercedes.

    I have a US 2018 Panamera E-hybrid, and A few weeks ago when stopping for gas,the fuel door wouldn’t open and the emergency release cable didn’t open it either. I needed a new solenoid for the fuel door, a $500 repair. Do you have any more information on what you referenced as a “recall?
    Thanks!

      sorry for the slow response I have had three new dailys since the panamera so having to dig around to find the recall. Ill keep looking, let you know in few more days. Seems like something they should of covered and not charged you. What I have noticed with Porsche in the uk is that if you don't know they just charge. Maybe try calling a another dealer near you and ask if they know of recalls on the fuel door. If that is a car you wil keep for a while you should watch my mod video it made the panamera a-lot better. th-cam.com/video/f2qCk-hLxDM/w-d-xo.html

    Hi, thanks for video. I have same Panamera, problem I have is the night vision sensor has a stone chip in the toughened glass, I have Porsche warranty but the dealer are saying it’s not covered. What would your opinion on this be please? I think it should be covered as the sensor location means it’s bound to get hit with debris. I love my Porsche but my experience with the dealer has really let the brand down.

      The dealers here in England are horrible its reason I did not get a gt3 or the gt4 I just can't deal with the dealers. I would find a specialist shop to use for the future but ya warranty from porsche won't cover things on outside. Even my panamera head lights was getting water in side and they said they don't cover that and my car was still in the new car warranty. Had little problem with my amg and Mercedes sent a s500 as a long car and a tec to my house to swap out the head light for me. Some after market warranty cover more I had wheels and windscreen protected on my 360. Porsche really does seem to have the worst dealer service and if you complain they don't care. watch this video and you see how bad the dealer is near us. th-cam.com/video/aQ0pxxDvCaI/w-d-xo.html

    What’s your take on 2018 E63 or 2018 Porsche Panamera turbo or maybe Panamera 4s?

      I can make you a video I have had both. What are u looking for in a car, will it be a daily or fun car, how many people on average do u take with u, how important is ride quality. What is more important to you drama or smoothness. Do u car about maintenance cost?

      @@dharambajway2279 thx for answering, yea the video would be much appreciated, most of the time I drove myself, and yes I do care about maintenance cost, the regular maintenance on Mercedes is generally acceptable tho. Not sure about Porsche tho, I have never owned one before.

      @dharambajway2279  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      drive both and make sure you have a good dealer close so if you have problems you will not have the horrible customer experience we had with our local porsche. Also stay away from the 2.9 motor if you looking at porsche. It is a Volkswagen product and is having a lot of problems which include rocker failure and if this happens the motor is toast. I have seen it a lot with the Audi rs5s as they have more miles then Porsches. the Panamera turbo or anything with the 4L motor seems much more reliable. Make sure you sit in it. most people don't opt for the better seats and the basic seats are horrible for longer drives no lumbar support.

      M340i, i own panamera 4s ehybrid for the last 3 years and it has spent more time at dealerships than driving.. Stay very clear

      @@Za1ds that is just porsche, we had a macan turbo that had so many problems that the dealer in California had to buy it back from me under the lemon law, then in England with out 992 gts it kept having so many problems we gave up and sold it. my biggest problem was Porsche dealers did not seem to care at least when I have problems with a Mercedes I get good service so I don't mind as much.

      @@dharambajway2279 Thats so weird, i have a 2022 macan with 110k miles already (i use it as daily) never had a single problem, hasnt seen the dealer once (except for maintenance) Also have a 2018 (pre facelift) panamera 4 e-hybrid with around 140k miles and didnt have a single issue so far... Guess you have to be lucky

      @@thetomnatorosrs ya for sure. Our Cayenne which is my cousins car is faultless to. It’s a 2017 hybrid. Some are just lucky but some just arnt. Shame I love the brand but having better luck with Mercedes. There is another channel with guy called nick murry he lives in America too and loves Porsche but keeps getting lemons and has a lot of problems to. Even one of my buddies just bought a gt4 and has had so many problems that dealer had to buy it back for lemon law. It’s a shame. It was his dream car and now he does not want another Porsche he got a bmw. I did not want to make a video about the gt4 because don’t want to be known as the guy that does the Porsche fail videos when I really like the brand.

      lol ya for sure. But most cars will have something wrong with them. My c63 in england steering wheel is off set from centre, my audi sq8 rear camera and surround parking cameras randomly won't work. If dealer net work for porsche was better i would buy a panamera turbo but since they not just sticking to Mercedes and Audi for the time being. Both of them have been really good. Mercedes even set a tech to my house to fix a seat problem with my Amg.
