    There are two diff types of EA 839 engine.
    First is 3.0 singleturbo for regular panamera (330hp) and 2.9 twin turbo for 4s 440 hp.
    Panamera 4 e-hybrid use 2.9 twin turbo motor, but there is 330hp only on petrol engine. Is that engine tuneable by 440hp as stock 4s motor?

      The base is not a turbo so tuning is limited electronically

    Pretty good gains I see. Fellow owner of a 4s. Would you say throttle response is better? In addition, have you guys used VR Tuned piggyback tuning kits?

    Good review. I never considered a chip to increase power. How do you think this would fair on a 981 Cayman S? If not, I know you guys reviewed the Cobb tuner. What do you think would be the most efficient way to increase HP and torque on a 981S? Thx for your thoughts and keep up good work.

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Cobb Accessport would be the best option. There isn't a ton of potential with the N/A motors but still some opportunities, especially with headers

    Great video. Thanks for the easy explanation. Would you have to worry about removing it when you took the vehicle in for service?

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd say that's personal discretion. I don't think it would cause any issues with service, etc.

    • @armadhinton7315
      @armadhinton7315 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it really that easy to install as the video portrays? It seems easy but I don't have much mechanical experience. When looking at the layout of the video at first seems easy but once you get to the sensors they seem a bit difficult to find and a little overwhelming

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@armadhinton7315 Yes, very straightforward. The sensors aren't that hard to access. If you have no experience, you may want to check with a local shop who can perform the installation. It takes roughly 30 minutes.

  • @edwinvanscherpenzeel3457

    As this is a PDK transmission I guess the RacingChip doesn’t does anything to the software of the PDK? As the clutches will be ruined if the software of the PDK isn’t ‘told’ that a higher torque is coming their way. Yes, the clutch can handle the torque, it just needs to be programmed. If not, the clutches need to be replaced within 8000 miles. Really don’t understand people buying 150K + cars and then try to save on chip tuning…🤔

    • @Flat6Motorsports
      @Flat6Motorsports  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, the Racechip only modifies signals going to the DME. The factory PDK has a slew of sensors and with these types of torque increases, the factory calibration for clutch pressure and line speed are sufficient to hold the torque. Tuning on the Panamera has been happening for 10+ years with a PDK. The only time we've witnessed an issue is on the older Panamera, when we exceeded 750ft/lb of torque at the wheels, the clutches had a hard time holding that power so we backed it down (that particular car had upgraded turbos). Unfortunately, there isn't much in terms of TCU tuning or clutch pack upgrades on these but 10-20% increases in power are not an issue from a reliability standpoint.

      @@gullylifestyle99 it's no different than what Porsche does itself. A GTS and Turbo Panamera have the exact same motor except for ECU tuning. You can tune them without damage when done correctly. Porsche does it to increase power and charges 40K more. This is the exact same thing for 900.00.
      Akrapovic exhaust tips are 2 grand. Just the tips. There are equal performing and looking units for 1/10th that. You're paying for the name only.
      I've never once blown anything doing these things..... the right way.
