Well my 50" just died after 10yrs. So based on your review I bought this in 50". Hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

I don’t remember seeing any motion controls
I like the idea of covering budget tvs. A lot of reviewers just focus on covering the higher end of tvs, but most people typically spend much lower amounts on tvs.

I live Dallas and I saw thisnguy was selling 2 Fire TVs for $75 both 55 inch. I purchased them both one was a newer Insignia Fire TV. I plugged it in to set it up. I couldn't beleive how good the picture quality was. The picture quality was amazing. Very close to QLED
I have this tv and two of the older models and the picture is amazing..I love them ..insignia has come a long way..
I had a smaller older Insignia for over 10 years no issue. Bought a Samsung in 2021 and it’s already dead and outside of warranty. I’m going back to Insignia.

Great review I have one of these in a kids bedroom. In my opinion if you wanna game don’t even think about this TV, but overall it’s outstanding for streaming or OTA everyday content. It’s cheap and most should know walking in not to expect all the bells and whistles. Spot on review Tech Steve

I'm thinking about ordering one on amazon for this sale. Should I get the three year extended warranty for an extra $40? I have heard bad things about Asurion warranty claims so I'm hesitant. But don't want to keep dropping $200 every 2 years on a tv

Steve how would you compare this TV to the pioneer Xumo TV you reviewed not too long ago when it comes to gaming?
This is an awesome review and extremely useful since I just bought one of these on sale for $160 at Best Buy and haven't opened it. However, I was watching for a sound demo or even a comment on the sound, which was skipped completely. I'm left frustrated with no info about what the sound is like and what soundbar would be the best (HDMI or Optical) if needed. Overall you are awesome though! Do you have any suggestions about the sound?? Thanks so much!

I would do the CU7000 out of those 2 far as picture quality, I I do prefer the LG os far as easy to use
This TV seems pretty good I would like it for my son in the 43-in would you say this is better than this Vizio d43f-j04 I had and stopped working after about a year

I wanted a cheap 4k tv to watch stuff and be on my computer. i got the 43 inch version. Especially when i plan to move around alot. I wanted to get the 58 inch but it looked like a pain to box up and carry around once a year or 2. 43 felt like a good balance.
Picture is good, not amazing but it does the job well.
Do you still recommend this brand? I have bought this same model but with 43 inches in size and I have read one or another comment saying that this TV can last 2 years at most
It is a good TV for what you pay for it. I used to say they were just as good as the cheaper TCL/Hisense TVs, but for 2023 those brands passed this one by a little.
This is not a TV I would buy to be a primary viewing television. I save my money for a mid-tier TV in the living room. However this is an acceptable bedroom or other secondary TV.
People have to remember, this is a cheap TV. There is a reason it is a cheap TV. You can't spend $250 on a 55" TV and expect to get the same performance as you would spending double that amount. I work a PT weekend job selling TVs for a major brand in an electronics retailer. At times it is hilarious when people come in, buy a $250/$300 TV, and then get pissed that it doesn't perform like the $600 Samsung/Sony/LG TV.

I know if you want the best it pays to play with the big boys. But mid range and budget can do somethings simple too.

I had an Insignia 4K Fire TV and it lasted less than two years. You get what you pay for.
I have my 65in insignia plasma from 2012 and still works amazing. I bought a 75 in TCL 2 years ago and it died and is a POS and i just thru it in the trash.
I have an Insignia F24 in my Truck. Looks just like this (same menue) Only one thing I dont like. Ever time you turn it on it opens with a bright white "Insignia" splash screen. If you are in a dark room and forget to look away when you fire it up expect to be blind for the next five minutes.
It's annoying as heck.

The only downside of this TV is hdr. I wonder how it performs on hdr10 movies

I have one in my bedroom I don't have any problems with it and have the 43 inch in the spare bedroom I had it for 2 years it looks good for a 1080

In the past I have bought an Insignia and a Toshiba TV from Best Buy. Both TV's stopped working after less than five years. While my Samsung LCD TV is still working fifteen plus years later. And my Samsung LED TV is still working after ten years. In the future I'm just going to spend the extra money for the Samsung reliability.
I have owend insignia tvs for the past 10 years and they work just as good as the high end tvs and lasts just as long.
They don’t make these products too last anymore. They want you to return in 2 - 5 years and spend your money.
