    Age is a number that humans constructed. How you look and feel is totally individual and whenever somebody tells you to act in a certain way - it should motivate you even more to do your own thing and become the greatest you can be.

    What CTG says about parenting is spot on. Your kids are your heart on the outside. When my daughter started dating I was more freaked out than my husband. He said, 'She knows her worth. She knows how she should be treated. We need to trust her.' He's absolutely right. She's a strong, beautiful woman that knows her worth and doesn't put up with any BS.

      It's really hard to change your mindset, especially you're from immigrant family who shovel down the throat that certain things have to be achieved at certain age. Nevertheless, this isn't an excuse and it's always possible to rewire your brain.

    GREAT interview! So many of us, especially African Americans, males in particular, need to hear this. Self-awareness is Ok! Therapy and doing what it takes to do the work is Ok!
    When we love ourselves enough to take a deep introspective look inside of who we really are we are much better for it.

    Love the authenticity! Malcom X biography is one of my favorite books for that very reason - the evolution of a human. We are allowed to grow and change without being held back by the limiting beliefs of others.
