Angel!!
Thank you :)
I enjoyed all of them. I started my morning with these sons and got my day off so it great start!
I wish there was a love button!
Thanks!
There is. It's in your middle. Oh you mean on TH-cam? Why? They would have to make a rule that it only get touched once a week or so, and what fun would that be?
There is on Betty Blackhead but I don’t know where it is on Dietrich.
Marvelous ❤️❤️❤️ beautiful performance 🤩🤩🤩 My dear estimated 🤝🤝🤝 Friends 🎹🎼🎶🎵❤️🎼🎶🎵🎶🎵🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thank you so much!
Danke ❣
Thank you
My pleasure!
I sang Schubert lieder as a boy. I wisg I'd been offered this.Easy for the voice. Thanks
My pleasure John!
❤
Lovely lyric, legato well sustained by DFD. At this point in his development, (and possibly, responding to Barenboim's influence,) he has completely eliminated the tendency to "bark" And instead his sweetly flowing phrasing is very nuanced and expressive while retaining his famously effective attention to the meaning of the words. He manages to give each word it's specific meaning without disturbing the line...very great singing/interpretation.
How right you are! Parsons found this gentle lyricism as well. Listen to him in "Wie bist du meine Koengin?" Such a love songto Clara Schumann.
Thank you, Arnold!
My pleasure Charles!
Magnifique, tout simplement. Merci.
13:18 beautiful! 💙🎶
Thank you for posting these. I first heard DFD in about 1970 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in Los Angeles. My friend and I could hear even the soft passages from the top balcony. I need to get to know these Brahms songs. It's amazing how many great pianists wanted to accompany him. To borrow from the New Yorker he's the Frank Sinatra of classical music!) To bad there are so few views.
thank you so much mr. van der Walls for all the work you put into this. I have loved fischer-dieskau since I first heard his voice about 1962. I had the intense pleasure of meeting him twice when he visited Ann Arbor and years later, Detroit.
raymond good , comparto plenamente sus sentimientos por este gran cantante y, desde luego, por este insigne compositor.
leito, thanks for your kind words. fischer-dieskau sang mahler in ann arbor and the german requiem in detroit. i shook his hand after the concert and told him he was my inspiration.
I too was fortunate to have met and spoken with him on more than one occasion.
Fascinating!! Thank you. Lovely performance. Congratulations.
Thank you Rosa! My pleasure!

O kühler Wald (Clemens Brentano)
O kühler Wald,
Wo rauschest du,
In dem mein Liebchen geht?
O Widerhall,
Wo lauschest du,
Der gern mein Lied versteht?
Im Herzen tief,
Da rauscht der Wald,
In dem mein Liebchen geht,
In Schmerzen schlief
Der Widerhall,
Die Lieder sind verweht.
Superb!!!
Thanks!
right what I was needing, thanks a lot, this is simply magical
Thanks!
Thank you! Your video selections are lovely and add to the magical performances:)
Thanks so much!
Unvergleichlich und unübertroffen!
Absolutely magical! Thank you so much for posting!
Thank you so much!
28:38 oh that Lied .... torturing Beauty ... Brahms at his real peak ...... more extatic frustration not possible ..... and your "picture" , Mr. van der Waals , is absolutely stunning ... ! The poor guy , completely overwhelmed by his own desire and the incredibly undecent girl , (her legs ! ) , giving him some seconds of Eternity ....
If you had the chance , last summer , to share some moments like this one , you can understand ........................
It gave me much pleasure to make this one in Live Movie Maker....
beautiful music n pics
Thanks!
Wonderful - unparalled interpretation !
My pleasure Jack!
Thanks for the gallery tour.
Op. 72 @ 07:28 ; Op. 94 @ 50:43 It is interesting to contrast DFD's performance and different articulation of these songs with Demus (probably at an earlier date than this?).
53:28 ..... again .... a fantastic , fantastic moment .... (and a fantastic Barenboim too .... the last bars .... )
59:25 .... perfect ....
5:09-Minnelied
13:19- O Kühler Wald
참 좋습니다!

何かしてやろう感がスゴいな。
Mr. van der Waals , who is the painter of this wonderful couple at 28:38 ... ?
Do not know...picked from the internet....
Funny ... you are a funny guy .... (smile)
With the best meanings I hope?
Of course ....
Fritz Maisenbacher I just saw your comment of 5 years ago about Michael Rabin over on the video of his playing Rach's 18 Variation.
