      Lol! I watch another TH-camr who lives in Japan but is a minimalist and she too uses them! I'm looking to move into a more upscale area and do a purge of all the stuff I'm not using or bringing, but I'm still looking on Overstock and Amazon for items so that I'm not going totally expensive, even if I technically can aford it. $30 for anything skincare just feels so unnecessary. My evergrowing bag of Bath and Bodyworks stuff, plus a few things from Walmart, work just fine.
      The most expensive thing I want is a high quality gaming chair to use for working at home, and...if space allows...a sumo beanbag chair for the living room. Don't ask me why, but I've loved them since I saw them about ten years ago on TH-cam and as they're beanbags that double as furniture and many of the sizes can fit two or more adults...why not? It would also be something a little different from every other minimalist home we see. I still want a small couch, but a massive beanbag chair I can curl up in and read on sounds amazing.

    I feel like minimalism is lowkey the most expensive aesthetic, despite looking more affordable. Because you have to buy nice shit since everything is essentially on display.

    • @Hueguh
      @Hueguh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +72

      Minimalism looks different and means different things for everyone. At its core it is meant to be a way to get away from unnecessary consumerism. I think as a result some minimalists prefer to use their saved money to invest in what they consider of value to them, so it will last longer and look nicer (which isn't bad either!). Frugality doesnt always equal minimalism either. There's a great TH-cam @CKSPACE who talks about this difference in detail.

    • @meh5069

    I usually don't enjoy watching minimalist home tour videos of people without children or singles because I can't relate, but I really enjoyed watching this one because it's minimal, functional and still cozy without being overly decorated. I figured my kids are getting to an age where they understand my need for simplicity and keep their toys for the most part in their own bedrooms when they aren't playing around the house with them. I do let them have how many toys they want but help guide them towards simplicity so that they don't feel overwhelmed by their stuff. Thank you for sharing your home tour, you guys do a very great job at keeping things simple without feeling cold and sterile.

    I like everything about this especially the TV disguised as a picture, the lamps in the bedroom, the living room chair, the small dining room table. I am trying to become minimalist and this video helped. Personally I couldn't live with seeing the vacuum cleaner each time I went in and out and it is the first thing that guests would see. Maybe you could install a small white minimalist cabinet from Ikea around it.

    Hi,Good to see a good Pinoy vlog. Videos that have a calming effect and is not just focus on purchasing more stuff, which Is so tiring to watch. Your home is the epitome of minimalism, even if you do not discuss on that one, you have only what you need, on hand and not a single space for an eyesore. That was the reason I wanted to see more from your channel. Indeed all of your videos are all pleasing to watch. Inviting, because nothing is loud on the screen to see, which is a plus factor for a good one. Kudos to your channel. Hope more people see what you have in store for them.Btw, I’m a Pinoy senior citizen already and just enjoy watching vlogs like yours which is uncommon these days. Stay safe always.

    As soon as he said about its maybe not the best place to keep the vacuum, I knew he'd eventually open a half empty closet

    Hey, looks great, but if you’re in California you would know better than to hang a shelf above your head with loose items that could come down during a quake! I advise you put that shelf somewhere else! Good luck!

    You're so lucky, I'm a bay area native born and raised but have to live in Sacramento now because I can't afford the rents!!! Even though it's 2 hours, I miss the ocean, we only have rivers and lakes here...

    Poor lone potato; and the dishware looks great on the open shelving 00 until your first severe tremor/earthquake! On the Gulf Coast, we have to consider hurricanes, tornadoes, flash floods, lightning ignited fires, wind shears, fire ants, West Nile...
