Kyra, I dont think im alone when I say you could probably do an apartment tour like once a month and we would be stoked! Always so inspiring! Occasionally i go back to your old ones for inspiration
Milo I still think that pink bathroom is cool. Admittedly, probably not a color I'd pick if I had a choice, or at least not my first choice. But for a rental you know you won't be staying in, kind of refreshing, a eye-catcher. At least it's not dark. :D Thank you for granting us a tour to your apartment. It's inspiring to see.
Yeah, it's because pink was a popular color in the '70s, I believe. That's when this apartment was built. In my first apartment, the bathroom was green 🤭. I guess they loved their colorful colors back in the day. Thank you so much for watching 🤍.
Kyra! you sound like a sweetest soul. like a happy calm little butterfly enjoy every bit of nectar the flower has to give 🦋💐✨ you are adorable and you sure inspire me
Love your apartment it’s so cute! Also we own the exact same dining chairs. They’re great but the little ledge on the back tends to collect dust very quickly so I use a broom to sweep it off and then vacuum underneath. This is pretty much how I envision my apartment would have looked like If I didn’t have kids. otherwise my taste in simplicity and clear straight edges and surfaces is pretty much the same. I even own very similar laundry bins and hang dry our laundry too. Although I do like Christmas decor we have a collection of antique wooden nutcrackers on the bay windowsill around our tree and have paper snowflake garlands hanging up around the house. We have a Christmas embroidered table runner too which doesn’t require much maintenance since I can switch out the tablecloths whenever they’re dirty and put the runner back on after.
It sounds like you have a lovely and cozy apartment! Ahh I know the challenge of keeping the little ledges dust-free, it's such a pain sometimes. Managing the space while having kids must require some creativity! Incorporating Christmas decor like antique wooden nutcrackers, paper snowflake garlands is something I plan on doing when we move. Maintaining a balance between personal style and holiday decorations seems like you've found the perfect blend. It's wonderful how you've curated your home to reflect your tastes while embracing the warmth of the holiday season.🫶🏻
Hi Kyra, how do you clean your sink?!!! It is pristine! Please some tips on what products do you use. It looks brand new and with no scratches. Love your videos !
Merry christmas my dear Kyra! I’ve been following you since you were living alone. I love all your content. We’re also the same age 😊. Many blessings this new 2024! 💖
Happy holidays hun 🎄 thank you for being so since the beginning. Can’t believe next year will be year 8 doing this job, all thanks to you guys 🫶🏻. Wishing you the best for the new year.
Love it. Moving soon and my apartment will cost the same and be that size. Glad to see how much your bils are. Focusing on only getting the things I need and not go crazy for my first place
Hey Kyra, I love how organised and minimal your apartment is. May I suggest, if you're only using toilet paper to dry yourselves, you can use small towels that you can throw in the wash. They won't be dirty or soiled if you have washed yourselves beforehand. I started doing this last year and not only am I squeaky clean, but I also save up on TP. I'm personally never going back. Hope it's a good suggestion for you to consider x ❤
This looks like my first apartment when my husband and I just got married. We lived very minimal. But after kids, the stuff followed. That seems like a very big couch for the space but I’m guessing you like to entertain and like the extra lounging space. This is my first time here so I don’t know much about the channel yet.
I know it takes awhile to edit videos but if you maybe got that time down editing I wish you were able to do videos every day!! Or like a usual 3-4 times a week.
Yeah, posting every day can be challenging due to quickly running out of ideas and the unrealistic demands of editing. I'm considering transitioning to three times a week soon. Currently, managing two posts a week is already a lot, considering scripting, video editing, and creating thumbnails, among other tasks. It’s even more hard since I’ve a one woman show since 2017 with these videos. Fingers crossed one day that I’m able to post more. But luckily I was able to post everyday this month 🙌🏼.
Loved your apartment tour. Trying so hard to declutter and keep things minimal. It's a j-o-b. I know it's different for everyone, but how many towel and sheet sets are needed? I have a washer/dryer. Thank you😊
My apartment has to be owned by the same people I swear ! Mine is the same exact blueprint , same bathroom, windows, doors, closets and same kitchen literally ! Wow that’s crazy and I hate the old bathroom but I tried to make it as decent as I could and I just feel like no matter how much bleach , comet , lysol I use it looks dirty but it’s just old.
Oh wow! Do you live in MA as well? I swear these type of apartments and appliances are so common all over mass. When we where searching for a new apartment in 2021 before this one, almost half of the apartments we looked at had the same layout, carpet, kitchen, but the bathroom was either green, blue or pink 😂. They loved their bright colors back in the day.
Do you have like a hobby? I’m a hobby person. Artistic related things. And I find that’s where my struggle lies. I feel like artistic hobbies involve “things” 😪
I feel you Ashley! Most hobbies require a ton of things. I use to be a plant queen back in the day (check older videos). Not only was it an expensive hobby with constantly repotting all 65 plants but I always felt that I needed more and more when it came to plants or the gear. Years later I don’t have anymore plants (just one that’s currently dying due to the lack of light this apartment gets) nor do I have any hobbies at the moment 😩. I have yet to figure out how to have a hobby without over doing it.
Thank you 😊 and know I personally don’t like to play games. We have a small checker board hidden in the closet for when guests come over that’s about it.
We only eat and drink on the table never on the couch or bed. The only white thing we own is our sheets and comforter. The couch is a dirty gray color but looks white on camera, it's much darker in person. Also if there's any accidents when it comes to food or drinks I have the little green machine from Bissell that works amazing on the couch and carpet.
Your apartment when you were single was warm and inviting with plants, textures, some color, and a few handmade/vintage items. While it was minimal, there was character in that space. I'm wondering why you decided to move towards a space without decor except furniture and mostly white, brown, and black? Perhaps this is just the progression of your minimalist journey? I do like the bathroom...lots of character there.
The current look is a temporary adaptation due to financial challenges. Unfortunately, most of my previous plants were toxic, making it impossible to adopt a kitty without parting ways with 99% of them. Additionally, the apartment's restrictions prevent us from hanging anything on the walls, limiting personalization. Regarding the decor, I'm not particularly fond of the vibrant pink bathroom; it's the least appealing part of this place for me. Bright colors and excessive home decor aren't my cup of tea. I prefer a more understated style and am looking forward to our future home to introduce non-toxic plants and maybe display some of my paintings for a unique touch. Living with a non-minimalist can be challenging in terms of space. When I lived alone at 27, it was an entirely different scenario also the color of the walls in apartments isn't up to the tenant so I got lucky with a nice beige color in that place; this shared space now accommodates my partner, our kitty, and me at 32 , this is by far the most gloomy apartment I have ever lived in from the color of the walls to the old carpet and lack of windows but this is what we can afford and its crazy to think that $1700 a month is considered cheap on Boston. Preferences naturally evolve over time, don't they?
@@Living.minimal Thanks for the response. I apologize if my comment may have come across as rude. I haven't seen your recent videos, so I expect you discussed some of this previously. Many simple living and/or minimalist bloggers like very pared down surroundings, sometimes without much or any decor. I wondered if that was more of your preference now. It sounds like that its not necessarily the objective and has more to do with your current living arrangements. My own preferences have evolved and simplified, but I still have cupboards, drawers, and closets that are packed full. I have a long way to go. Oh, how I relate with being limited to the white walls of a rental! I've also had to deal with wood panelling for many years. I haven't had landlords who didn't allow me to hang things on the walls though. That would definitely limit personal touches and be frustrating given the amount paid in rent. I've enjoyed your videos in the past and found inspiration in them and look forward to catching the ones of I have missed!

Love your apartment, especially your bedroom! 😍
I wishhhh I could just have the bare necessities. It’s perfect! The space looks huge too 🤌
You got this😊!! I would say having less stuff definitely helps with making the space appear bigger than it is.
I love the bathroom it adds the perfect amount of character to your clean minimal home 🥰
I wish I could love it 😅 😩
I love that everything has a purpose. I like your place; everything is so cozy and your voiceover is so soothing!

I really like your bathroom, it looks sparkly, kinda vintage and fancy with all the tile work and the color pink is charming!
😊Love the pink in the bathroom.
WOOO! Loving this series, Kyra.
Thank you, glad you’re enjoying the new videos 😊
This is so inspiring. I always try my best to be simple but I still ended up buying stuff.
It's okay, take it step by step. I still struggle with buying fewer things, especially when it comes to cat items. No one's perfect.
Great content, enjoyed as always Kyra 😊
Thanks for sharing ❤ love your apartment clean and tidy 👍🏻 all basic necessities ❤ love your fur babies 😻😻😻😻

I didn’t realize you can brew loose leaf tea through a keurig. How strong does it come out?
Depends how long you steep the loose leaf’s/herbs.
