Captain hook looks so hatefully at Pan, but also genuinely confused and very nervous when he can’t seem to hurt him. And Gaston… is honestly my favorite of the three. When he looks at Belle, it’s like he knows he’s not in control anymore, and he looks so truly afraid of her. When he can’t see her, he’s carefully looking through the brush like hunting a dangerous animal, and whenever she approaches him, he freezes up, sweats bullets and flinches when she touches him.

I love Mother Gothel’s usage of the word “petulant” to show how she treats everyone like children. Not only does Mother Gothel use this mentality to put everyone else beneath her but it also makes sense bc Mother Gothel is old enough to where everyone else would seem like children to her (like in Mother Knows Best, she sees Rapunzel as a sapling/sprout). Either way, Pattycake did a great job highlighting this characteristic of the character with their script writing.

I can't believe what happened in this episode it was shocking 😲 I can't believe she brought back the Horned King, and I can't believe how amazing he looks, what's most shocking I can't believe The Horned King Is Maleficent's Father!
Kinda makes sense given that they both have horns on their heads and they are both sorcerers. Although The Horned King is much worse than Maleficent so I can only imagine how he’ll be handled
This was very subtly foreshadowed. Especially with the mention of her horns (it took me watching the episode to make the connections and rewatching episode 1). It also makes sense because the Horned King is implied to be the King of the Otherworld in Welsh mythology- so potential Fae… which is Maleficent.
Yeah, that is a very interesting concept! I would love to see a magicless Gothel's origin story (its so weird thinking about her being without magic since her character is always involved with it)!
@@missvnuna3623 I think she's still human. As far as we're aware at this point, the only magic she's ever wielded was the Sundrop's Healing Incantation to keep herself young.
I also love the interaction between Gaston and Belle. He is indeed in the role of the Beast here although unlike Belle's consort his curse is far worse and terrible.
Oh, for sure, no questions asked. I love the part where Hans threatens her with a sword & she just nonchalantly makes it disappear while he is still standing there absolutely gagged.

The ending left me actually jaw dropped, also that they FINALLY brought the Horned King into this series. He’s one of my favorite villains(along with Cruella) and is by far so underrated, he’s the perfect villain and I can’t wait to see what he brings/adds to the plot of this series!!!!!!!
The Horned King being Maleficent’s father is one of the best twists in season 2. Well done, looking forward to what happens next and the other villains reaction to this reveal.
Finally!!! If Disney doesn´t know how to appreciate The Horned King someone here does!!! ...and, very interesting concept to combine him and Maleficent. Never stopped to think of it until now.
The only time Disney, "barely", notices The Horned King and/or the movie itself is when they use the Black Cauldron as the cauldron the Vilains make use of in merchandise. And that´s it. Of course, you woudn´t believe my surprise when The Horned King was made into a Funko Pop, part of the Disney Villanous game...and puzzle! And now PattyCake Productions. If only Disney knew that, us fans, care a LOT about the movie itself. Failed? Yes. But it is still a Disney movie. And The Horned King is, without a doubt, the scariest Disney villain. Only Chernabog...and Monstro come close.
OMG, you never fail to amaze me!!!! I loved how Dr facilier used what the three main villains, Hook, Hans, and Gaston wanted most to deceive them. The song was beautiful and the ending...EPIC!!! Honestly, the Walt Disney company should be handed over to Tony and Lane because they put more thought and effort into Disney's properties than the company does nowadays. Fantastic job!!!!😃 I can't wait to see the next chapter!!!😃
Ironically Disney seems to be doing a bit of a better job in it's deconstruction books than in its films. The Sereno Valentino Villains series along with Twisted Tales have pretty good stories within them.
@@KEeosFight From what I know Disney pays them for their work and hires them when material such as that is required, even though they are not official members or workers of Disney.
My theory: Dr. F was deliberate with his illusion magic. He's playing both sides because he knows how powerful Ursula alone is but is likely counting on the other villains succeeding. In the meantime i would be shocked if his illusions goading these three guys on like they did doesn't cause them to want something DIFFERENT. It's as if hes trying to tell them villains not to just undo what went wrong, but try something MORE.

@@Doctor_Pingas Ok depends on what you think Maleficent did, yes she did not put the caldron to sleep. They are indicating she did something prior. I think what ever she did, was meant to hurt the Horned King so he would become less powerful or take him out and she couldn't do that as a child.
@@MrTsWorld831I figured they were slow 🦥 on this lol .. maleficent is dark fae, it's a wonder they figured out that's her dad the lynch King.. But they still need the talisman 🧿

I love this !! The actress for Gothel is literally her !!! And I love the connection btw Maleficent and the Horned King !! (and Gothel really took Magnifico ? 😂)
They are all so good (bad, rather!), but the actress playing Gothel was so perfect, omg! I literally viscerally reacted to her comment to Hans. Such mean girl energy, which epitomizes Gothel. That song was killer and I will be playing it on repeat!
Wow... that was an interesting plot twist. The Horned King being Maleficent's dad is pretty crazy, guess the old Dragoness is a half-fairy or something all along.
It really makes Maleficent "having all the powers of hell" at her disposal make more sense! If her father was connected to the dark powers & the dead because of the black cauldron, it would also deepen Maleficent's connection to both Hades (god of death) & to her old demon master Chernabog.
Yes, its interesting how Maleficent is typically portrayed as a fairy. I wonder if her father was human before becoming a spirit that was connected to the black cauldron? The Horned King also has minions similar to Maleficent's. I really want to see the Horned king unleash his powers (maybe dragon)???
Summoning Hades won’t be easy as a piece of cake since he’s a god the first thing you have to get hypocrites black cauldron, which captain Hook will use his fishing hook to fish Hades so out of, but so many him won’t be easy. You would have to find a flame from Mount Olympus itself in order to summon him also a skull from the land of the dead just telling you it won’t be easy you know.
Yeah, I do respect the idea of much more greek mythology being implemented into the series storyline to get Hades to join the group. Can't wait to see what solution they choose...
I am blown away! This series is amazing!! I was not expecting that twist at the end with Maleficent and the Horned King! And that’s an amazing John Hurt impression!!
I think the reason why Facilier’s illusions were ineffective against maleficent is probably because when she said all the powers of darkness are hers to command and when Facilier was staring at her I think that’s presumably the reason why the illusions didn’t work on a villain who enjoys being like Maleficent.
The acting was amazing as always!! I loved Belle's, Elsa's, and Peter's acting a lot if only because they were so utterly /eerie/. They were tricking their respective villain, sure, but the way they moved/expressed themselves felt very off putting and just gave me the creeps! Loved the addition of The Horned King!! And Mother Gothel getting her recognition was amazing. Can't wait until the next installment!!
I think the shadows that were representing Elsa/Belle/Pan were reminiscent of shadows caused by OUAT's Neverland. (ie Rumple seeing Belle on that island despite being in another world)
Love the detail of how Gaston picks up a rose that he inspects with scrutiny in his eyes before the appearance of Belle. Pretty symbolic considering the fact that unlike the Beast who was able to change or rather despite his form still had a noble spirit present inside (which made it possible for him to be open to love in the first place) Gaston views both Belle and love as a whole as nothing more than a commodity/physical possession.
So much gold in this! Great badgering, acting, singing, choreography, cinematography, plot twists (Horned King being Maleficent’s Father (honestly brilliant whoever came up with this idea) & bringing Magnifico into this & great backstory on the forest that’s very believable & ties into the Germanic Fairytales most are known for & inspired Disney films & their characters). This is getting good! Can I just say Elsa’s stature & walk is so on point! I’ve wondered how you even get that or if it’s possible. Actress NAILED it to perfection.
As soon as I saw the Diamond Mirror, I was like “Magnifico?” And “I want to See the Wish Character and I need to have Them Interact with their Counterparts,(Seven Dwarfs, Fairy Godmother.”
I know! Whoever came up with the familial relationship between the Horned King & Maleficent needs a raise! Clearly lots of heart & thought put into this episode!
I imagine that he will manipulate the villains into doing what he wants them to do, only to pull the rug out from under them and destroy everything. I also think he should be a combination of Mephiles the Dark from the Sonic series and the Dark Lord Morgoth from The Silmarillion. He should take from Mephiles due to his manipulative and creepy vibe, and Morgoth due to his sadistic and destructive tendencies.
King Magnifico ?! I can't wait to see what they will do with him ! (better than the movie, that's for sure...) For Mother Gothel to ask for him to Maleficent she must have known him. Were they friend ? Did they learn magic together ? Were they... Lovers ? (yeah I know that's maybe a bit too far but remember in the concept art Magnifico and the queen were a villainous couple so who knows, maybe we'll get a villainous couple after all !) Also... "Hello, Father." ?! I just can't wait for what's next ! Amazing work PattyCake !
Yeah, I'm very curious about what Magnifico could possibly do for Gothel? My first thought was also "did they date" but with Queen Amaya present in wish i'm not sure & I doubt Gothel would give up the sundrop flower for just a friendly reunion. I guess maybe Magnifico is essentially like a genie now, a trapped being who could grant personal wishes for a master but I don't understand why Gothel couldn't just turn to Maleficent for personal wish related desires (more private control over her destiny maybe)?
How in the world are they going to get the Horned King of all people to play ball? If I remember correctly, he's one of those Disney villains that gets within spitting distance of being absolute and PURE EVIL. No bargains, no excessive taunting to make you think he's funny, and no mercy. He's there to destroy everyone and everything he can't control.
I am hoping that they are going to accidentally raise Cronos and he is going to mess with everyone's mind by taking many different age versions of himself.
A few things. 1. Love the song. Kind of wish we got Belle and Gaston talking since Pan and Hook, and Hans and Elsa had a fun conversation. 2. I freaked out when the Horned King showed up. I loved the Black Cauldron as a little girl, but the Horned King is one of my biggest childhood fears. That scene when he goes at Terron and his piercing red eyes look directly at you as if he’s about to get you😬 Why did it have to be him? I had to pause and turn around the minute those horns rose from the cauldron and take a minute to mentally prepare myself for seeing the live action version of my childhood’s biggest bad guy fear. 3. WHAT?! HE’S WHAT?! FATHER?! I have a lot of questions!
@mommak10, as soon as Belle started singing I thought ‘Wait a sec. Facilier used his magic and said something about ‘old friends’ and who could be older friends for Hook, Hans and Gaston than Peter Pan, Elsa, and Belle?’ I was almost ridiculously happy when Maleficent used the dice (which rolled on double ones or snake eyes) to make them go away.
I'm not gonna lie, I just got chills and goosebumps from this episode! It just keeps getting better and better and the appearance of the Horned King just put the icing on top of the cupcake! Can't wait to see more! 😄
First off, "But who are you when smoke all clears?" That part of the song gave me chills and loved how it was delivered with the harmony. Second, no y'all did not brought the Horned King in this!!! With another layer of him being Maleficent's FATHER?!! EXCUSE ME????? MORE! I WANT MOOOORE!
I've been following you guys for a while now, and you didn't just set the bar. You broke the bar in half and threw it in the ocean, along with Gaston's dignity. Fantastic episode, and the cast was top-notch.
Technically, she and her sisters are the daughters of Manea, the goddess of the dead. She has two sisters: Primrose and Hazel. Both died when their garden was set on fire by jealous humans. At least that's one version of her backstory
One thing I really love that I forgot to mention is just how spectacular the cast in this video is. We've got a new actress playing Maleficent but she's just as fantastic as the other actress is. She's got the mannerisms and speech patterns down perfectly and I love it.
The interesting concept that this series proposes is that the princesses have Chronos' sun dial, which means at least several of the canon disney villain defeats might be the alternate reality & a timeline where the villains are victorious is the main reality (I mean it wouldn't make sense for all of them to have been defeated first try, especially with more powerful villains like Maleficent). Can't wait to see what happens once their individual quests for revenge play out.
@@lyndseystrait1513 I agree. I can imagine a timeline where Hook killed Peter Pan before his hand got tossed to the crocodile, and he continued to be the most feared pirate on the seven seas with nothing holding him back. Jafar managed to send Aladdin and Abu into the Cave of Wonders with the lamp intact, thus giving him power right away. Among others.
This is the best episode yet! The song's amazing, They have the cauldron, Maleficent is The Horned King's daughter, and most of all.... MAGNIFICO!!!!!!!! (The big question is why does Gothel need him?) Either way, two big kings were brought out in this episode (in a way)! 10/10
Yes, am very curious about what direction the series will take with King Magnifico. I was going to say maybe she is Queen Amaya but they really don't look enough alike :( (I wonder if they will include Queen Amaya as a spirit or if she is out of the picture). Especially since Tangled the Series heavily implies Gothel is a descendant of the royals in the dark kingdom, I wonder if she ever dated Magnifico. I guess when the Evil Queen wasn't looking, Maleficent took Magnifico's spirit out of the magic mirror??? Anyway, this Magnifico development leads to lots of questions & am very glad someone pointed it out!
They're acting totally like the real disney carackter would do in this Situation! 👏🏻👏🏻😍 I'm a Cosplayer and I do al by myself and I see how talented they are in acting and make up and dressing! A lots of compliments keep on going. I can't wait how this story goes on.
Your guys’ brilliant spins on the overall plot and blending mythologies (STILL can’t get over you making Black Cauldron important again) and magnificent portrayals continue! Credit to Malificent for pretty seamlessly stepping into her big shoes and to the hallucinations for nailing their portrayals. Belle/Gaston was a little thin but as someone already pointed out, Gaston’s nature was such the spell had little to work with, Belle was never a person to him. And that too is perfect.
There is soo many insanely amazing things and references you have added I'm fangirling too hard!!!! The Revenge song empowering the heroes, the Magnifico reference, the most perfect Gothel I have ever seen and heard... Then you go god mode and bring in one of the most underrated villains in the coolest way possible!🤩🥰💕
Horned King: "I am the Keeper of the Cauldron" Maleficent: "Hello Father" Me: "Hold up. What?!" Also. Hans basically telling Gaston that he's missing a brain made me laugh. Because it's true.
So many things. First of: I NEED more creepy Peter Pan! I loved him in this. The song is my new favourite of the series. Second: I love how Elsa is wearing the dress from the first movie, since that is the last time Hans saw her in. Nice attention to detail here. I also appreciate that it was Elsa instead of Anna. Anna would've been an obvious choice bcs she was the one who had more interactions with him. But Elsa was the one who immediately recognized how shady Hans was unlike Anna who got fooled. Third: Similiar to my point two, but I love that it's not just any heros of their story but they all did see through the villains disguise within their distinctive stories. (Belle was the only one never buying into Gastons Macho fassade, Peter didn't take Hook seriously from the moment they met and I explained Elsa in my previous point.) I point it out bcs when he found the rose, I did wonder if Gaston would meet the beast again. Fourth: FATHER?! 😮 All this to say, for me, this is your best episode yet. Can't wait for episode 7!
Excellent read on Elsa specifically! I would also like to add that in Hans' mind, he admitted to liking Anna (not love but like) & that if it hadn't been for Elsa he could have just married Anna without complications (as he said to the wicked stepsisters, he blames the love of sisters for "coming between [him & his lover]", especially since Hans seemed to have no intention of betraying Anna until Elsa's ice in Anna's heart uncovered his true colors). Additionally, Elsa resembles everything he wished he could have- SHE got to rule her kingdom without having to bend over backwards, SHE got Anna's love, & (most importantly) Arendelle adores Elsa as their Queen despite everyone seeing her as she truly was & after she completely failed her introduction to them by freezing the kingdom. To Hans, Elsa stole his happy ending from him. Anna loved Hans at one point & they seemed to have a minimal connection over sibling related trauma & a lack of love from their families. She was never an obstacle to him, but it still hurt that she was able to find happiness despite everything that had happened to her
I love this video, love the actors. The actors playing Belle, Elsa and Peter Pan were fantastic. And the singers were amazing, they had such haunting voices. I'm honestly in love with this series and hope that it continues.
Every time Gothel is on screen she just steals the show for me. I'm also glad to know Gothel too has a secret scheme of her own. At this point who DOESN'T have one? Probably Gaston, no one avoids planning ahead like Gaston. I'm curious to know how Gothel got to Morva though, it seems Maleficent wasn't the one teleporting her there, and the woman didn't travel with the rest of the gang either. She may still have the Sundrop Flower with her - somehow, - but she herself doesn't wield magic of any kind, she can't teleport or transform or anything, so how did she get there? Never mind, I'm just happy to see the flower make an appearance and for Gothel to save the day x)
🤩🤔Ooh, you know how Gothel got to Morva if she wasn't on the boat with the rest of the villains is an interesting thought. Especially since we know Gothel, Gaston, & Cruella all knew about Ursula's initial plans for revenge on the other villains AND Gothel would have had to travel by sea, right??? More importantly, I wonder what the Evil Queen thought about Gothel's absence while the group of villains enacted a plan of her own design? Great observation!
its so weird actually, from the for people that were initially meant to be punished about betraying the other villains with the ursula thing, gothel seems to be the one that got the least punishment (besides yzma but it feels like they sadly don't care about her) So either maleficent and gothel had a Deal or they just needed her because of the flower

@@chadpeterson5698yes😊
This was very subtly foreshadowed. Especially with the mention of her horns (it took me watching the episode to make the connections and rewatching episode 1). It also makes sense because the Horned King is implied to be the King of the Otherworld in Welsh mythology- so potential Fae… which is Maleficent.

A human who existed before magic even existed!
Yeah, that is a very interesting concept! I would love to see a magicless Gothel's origin story (its so weird thinking about her being without magic since her character is always involved with it)!
Is she even human at this point? I could see a plot in this series revealing she is something between mystical and human.

Honestly Maleficent carries this party of villains. They’d be lost and dead three times over without her.

Yes, its interesting how Maleficent is typically portrayed as a fairy. I wonder if her father was human before becoming a spirit that was connected to the black cauldron? I like how Maleficent wasnt affected at all by the Shadow Curse because she's one of the most powerful villains after Ursula
I assumed it was because she held the shadow dice she got from Oogie Boogie

So nice to see theater majors getting to flounce around dramatically to their heart's content
"you're so handsome! and then you speak! and it's all ruined" incredible
All this to say, for me, this is your best episode yet.
She was never an obstacle to him, but it still hurt that she was able to find happiness despite everything that had happened to her
Yes, I LOVE creepy Peter Pan (I feel like the use of his shadow is lacking & would love to see that detail included in future videos)!

Great observation!
its so weird actually, from the for people that were initially meant to be punished about betraying the other villains with the ursula thing, gothel seems to be the one that got the least punishment (besides yzma but it feels like they sadly don't care about her)
So either maleficent and gothel had a Deal or they just needed her because of the flower
