I cant imagine a revival being more intense than this one. Hard for me to ever want to do one again since i consider this to be the pinnacle of automotive revival culture.
We tried splitting this between our channels over 7 episodes, but folks largely missed my own episodes. So, I figured I would slap this all into one full length revival just so there's a record of all of it together out there. Truly was the most intense and fun revival, would never be able to top it - anything revival flavored that I do frankly feels boring in comparison. With Iowa finally climbing out of winter, you all will have to deal with me again on youtube very soon lol
Nice way to begin the spring of is with the satellite i like that car that means its going to be a good year for uncle Lukes TH-cam channel thunder heard 289
One to end them all for me really - after the satellite, everything else was too easy and boring. It was the perfect revival, short of driving it home - we overcame an insane amount of things together on that car
This is why I haven't had cable TV for over 10 years now. The real entertainment, the real gems, come from people like you. Watching anything from tv or motortrend channel after that feels so lame and made up!
Seriously... I can't stand seeing people on TH-cam channels saying "You should be on N*tflix!" as if that's the sign of success. Signing your soul over to a network and losing most of the creative control just to be turned into cookie-cutter trash with lame writing, dramatic music, and fake camera shake. Some people just don't know a good thing when they see it.
Hahaha motortrend, we're going to slap together thousands of dollars worth of sponsored parts in our studio shop. JYD and TH289 are the real deal. Yea there's some sponsored stuff but it's just regular guys wrenching and building like the rest of us.
I have to admit this was one of the best revive videos I’ve ever watched, bar none! Really enjoyed watching this old car be resurrected from the dead! Good job guys!
I know it’s a little late, but I just want to say this is the first video over an hour that I’ve actually sat through the entirety of on TH-cam. Thank you guys for sharing this, it was an awesome thing to view! Great work.
We need another revival like this one from the legendary duo themselves. I remember watching this one when it came out, doesn’t hurt to watch again. Good job guys
I am amazed that the engine of a car that has been parked in the woods for so long can start without a problem! Plymouth's craftsmanship really shouldn't be underestimated.
This is by far my favorite video you guys have ever made! I love that you put it all together to watch as a movie. I also always loved when you would come and shoot a video with Kevin at our house. Listening to the two of you and the non-stop laughter was the best entertainment ever!
Back in 1973 or four, the high school I attended hired a driver's training instructor that used a 1973, 4 door Satelite, which was for a novice or neophyte wanting to get a driver's license yesterday, an awesome first new car experience, I must say, Yee-Haw! It was a nice ride. My parents had a 1973 Ford LTD with the four barrel 429, and that was even more of an exciting experience for a newbie behind the wheel operator! (especially when I was allowed to drive it onmy own, alone behind the wheel, with all those horses under my right foot)
I replaced the rear brakes and rotors in my wife's Subaru this morning. When I walked in the kitchen and announced that they were done she looked at me and said "I'm starting to think that PB Blaster makes you smell pretty damn sexy." I have people like you guys to thank for that.
I had a 1970 Sport Satellite, this model was thought by many to be one of the best looking mopars of all time. My car was burnt orange ext and int with black alligator vinyl roof. There isn't a week that goes by that I wish I still would have kept car. I'm over 70 and that car is my favorite .
My very first car was a 69 Sport Satellite! So much fun back then. 318 3 speed auto on the floor. Alas another guy t-boned me at an intersection. Not totaled but I parked the car in my dooryard and bought a new Toyota Celica. This was 1971 and gas prices were climbing. My intentions were to repair it but my neighbor talked me into selling it to him. Big regrets but money talks.Anyway I really enjoyed the video!
I'm not sure how many times I've watched this series.... Truly enjoy the way you two work together. Not sure how I missed it before, but the noise made when the engine fired while Luke was wrenching it over has me rolling with laughter & then chatting around the campfire when Kevin has an embarrassing realization. OMG 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I use to race cars and my buddy would be rebuilding my engines for the next race after I blow one up well he sat in my living room in front of the TV watching football, news, or MTV back in the late 80s and early 90s. He slept on my couch for free and only required that I got him a 24 pack of beer and a carton of smokes for doing the work. He had it done in a day and then we rolled the engine back into the garage and put it in my car. And the next day after a night's rest we would be back out at Bremerton raceway to drag race or at Kitsap Fairground for Destruction Dubies. A lot of this reminds me of what you guys are doing that we did with the old junkers we made into Duby cars.

That's officially the longest YT video I've ever watched and I enjoyed every minute of it. Great revival and great to watch you two working together - the way it should be. You were made very welcome and all the clean-up you did was a nice touch. For all you were hammering on Mopar products, got to say the mechanicals seem pretty bulletproof on that beastie, if we forget about the cr@ppy starters. Mind you, thjat could have been electrical, rather than duff starters. If you can be bothered swapping it out one more time, the first re-man starter might work OK, if you get a decent set of connections to it. Thanks for a fantastic morning's entertainment guys.😁👍
I’m surprised they didn’t explore the second starter more, I’m pretty confident it was just bad main connection the whole time. The same issue the third also exhibited.
This revival is basically the definition of peak TH-cam revivals! They were starting to take off but still only a few doing them. So fun. So unique. So entertaining. Love this one
I was one of the original revival guys in the day, I think I may have even popularized the term revival. Indeed it is quite watered down these days, but it was a fun ride all the same
What a great video! There is a brief time in your life when you can do things like this, and you guys crushed it. So good on so many levels, major props for cleaning up the area. Super entertaining, fun and very educational. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through your adventures.
Just came across this now, man oh man the memories of working on my own "revival" years ago I pulled from a field and drug home before I even knew it ran! It's an adventure but so fun. Good job guys
As a Mopar guy, not many of us relish dealing with mopar starters, but as you've come to find, it's their engines is where they really shine. Pity it's not a 340, 383, or 440, but 318s are solid engines. Well done, guys!
@@ThunderHead289 it seems like it was only last year that you did this revival. I don’t remember exactly when you guys first pulled it out of its resting place
great to rewatch this all in one video. the brake test gets me everytime. that car is definitely still worth rocking. appreciate your sacrifices getting her up and going.
Awesome revival. Maybe I missed it and it was a few years ago, but what happened to the car after you took it home? Maybe Dylan got it? Really enjoyed the 2 of you partnering up, makes for great banter and content. Maybe you can each periodically partner with other youtubers in the future????
You guys are awesome! I’ve been watching your flick and seeing all the trouble you’ve overcome and now I feel guilty about complaining while replacing the vacuum lines in my 1990 F-150! Cheers!
Say what you will about the amount of rust. Sitting outside for 35 years 40 years what ever it is in an area that floods with tree growing up around it to the point you forget there is a car in there. I'd say it survived pretty good. I have seen cars that people claim sat for 15 years some times less with more rust up the side panels.
Pulled a 63 Fury out of the woods in TN that had sat since early 90s (I still have the tags). The 318 was an old polyhead with only 52,000 miles on the odometer. New points and rotor and she fired up and ran like new. It's hard to kill those motors. Made for a cool little video too.
We tried splitting this between our channels over 7 episodes, but folks largely missed my own episodes.

By far one of the greatest videos I've seen, loved the humor, the car, and I'm glad y'all got it done 👍
Indeed it is quite watered down these days, but it was a fun ride all the same
@@ThunderHead289this reveal is probably what made most people go out there and revive there own cars
Loved this series. Got me started on you two.
What a great video! There is a brief time in your life when you can do things like this, and you guys crushed it. So good on so many levels, major props for cleaning up the area. Super entertaining, fun and very educational. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through your adventures.
This has to be the most hysterical "Will it Run?" video ever. Well done boys!
I know nothing about cars, but I really enjoyed this video. Watched it till the end!! 🤩
What we all need now in this bad time the world is going through is much more of thunderhead 289 and junkyard digs having fun camping.
Just came across this now, man oh man the memories of working on my own "revival" years ago I pulled from a field and drug home before I even knew it ran! It's an adventure but so fun. Good job guys
That BURNOUT was beyond impressive!!!! Epic is an understatement.
As a Mopar guy, not many of us relish dealing with mopar starters, but as you've come to find, it's their engines is where they really shine. Pity it's not a 340, 383, or 440, but 318s are solid engines.
Well done, guys!
I miss these co-ops where you guys (including Dylan) worked together. You should do more of this.
You did on the Arizona trip
So THATS how funnels are made! You guys put the FUN in funnel. Ok, I'll see myself out.
That Brokeback Mountain joke was funny as hell I laughed my ass off for 10 minutes
You guys need more of this. This is one of the best revivals ever! I remember watching it on both your channels
It's funny how much Kevin then looks like Jesse does now.
I've watched this like 3 times now, Can say this is way better than anything you find on the TV now a days.
🤙 incredible team. I remember that you found some crazy things in that car.
in our day, we were unparalleled together.
@@ThunderHead289 you, Kevin, Dylan make an awesome team when you guys work together.
@@ThunderHead289 it seems like it was only last year that you did this revival. I don’t remember exactly when you guys first pulled it out of its resting place
@@LunarOutlawsGarage 2019, its been some time ago now
@@ThunderHead289 that’s right. Right when I stated my channel. Man the past few years have flown by
great to rewatch this all in one video. the brake test gets me everytime. that car is definitely still worth rocking. appreciate your sacrifices getting her up and going.
Awesome revival. Maybe I missed it and it was a few years ago, but what happened to the car after you took it home? Maybe Dylan got it? Really enjoyed the 2 of you partnering up, makes for great banter and content. Maybe you can each periodically partner with other youtubers in the future????
),..
You guys are awesome! I’ve been watching your flick and seeing all the trouble you’ve overcome and now I feel guilty about complaining while replacing the vacuum lines in my 1990 F-150! Cheers!
Miss you two working on the cars together
Cheers mate!
Thanks so much, so very nice of you 🙂
I remember this was shot awhile ago, but Kevin looks like a different person 😂 how long ago was this exactly?
2019 ?
@5:52 🤣 🤣 This video just showed up on my feed and I noticed a little equation there in the upper right corner. This was a great video guys!
there's not Mopar's in Iowa, because people in Iowa have brains.
@charlotteann7241
Debatable
ONE OF THE. BEST VIDEOS I SEEN HOPE TO SEE MORE from you soon very well put together.
What did you guys end up doing with this car?
this. There's 0 info on what happened to it since. Sold I'm assuming.
Luke stated recently that to the best of his knowledge, Kevin still owns it. Best thing to do would be to ask Kevin...
- Max Giganteum
Kevin has just published a new video about it last week! 😀 The car has been given to Dylan.
My most favorite revival....not only from you guys, but most of youtube.
I watched this entire series in bits but I'm back to see this compilation, thanks Luke.
My name's luke, but your welcome
Bluetooth rear frame rails, gas tank, and floors. Technology that was decades ahead of its time. lol 😆
one of the best revivals ive seen to date and ive watched hundreds if not thousands
You guys have way to much fun. Wish I could still do that but I get to watch you. Awome
