    Thank you so much for including how to adjust the seats, arms, and weights. The PF app didn't think that was relevant info for some reason.

    Awesome video! It's been years since I worked with a trainer and going back to the gym felt a little...intimidating? Anyway thanks, this was just the refresher course I needed!

    glad I came across your videos. Over the past 20 years i've gravitated to free weight compound exercises..mainly the "big 3". However my last gym has gotten so expensive and unreasonable that i've recently joined Planet Fitness and found myself having to learn all these machines. Now i just need to get a better idea of how they logically lay these machines out at my local club location.

      Hi, Robert! Lame to hear that your other gym increased prices so unreasonably! That’s alright, you can still get a great workout done at Planet Fitness. I’m happy these videos could help! I’m making my way through every piece of equipment so hope to continue helping out. Definitely take a look and orient yourself to your new workout spot. Enjoy and work hard!

      As much as they are frowned upon, machines tend to be better than most free weight exercises.

    It seems silly but I wasn't checking the height of the handles, no wonder I felt sometimes like I work out more my shoulders than my chest, thanks

    Hey so on the flat bench you multiply the weight by 2 right? Because that's the heaviest 160 I've ever done.

    I wish they had the same chest machine as you are using. They use to, but then they changed up to a screwed up machine that causes great pain in my wrists when I use heavy weight. This occurs because of how the grips are fat and tilted. You can’t keep your wrists relatively straight like the previous machine. I stopped going there.

  • @bustercherry8734
    @bustercherry8734 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    That first chest press machine...is that any harder or any easier than bench press? Like, would i be benching the same amount i'm doing on the push machine or more or less?

    • @KevTheTrainer
      @KevTheTrainer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey there! That’s a great question. Even though you use the same weights on the chest press machine and bench press, you’re still activating different muscles with the bench press in your shoulders and core since you have the stabilize the weight yourself. The machine has a fixed path and supports the weight itself so it reduces the involvement of those stabilizing muscles. Also you have greater range of motion with the bench press vs. the chest press machine. Hope that helps!

    I had a hard time with the chest press machine. It was so heavy even when I put it on the lowest setting. I'll try it again in the yellow area but if I have the same issue again this may be one of the list of equipments I have to skip on.

    You should let the machine pull your chest after the press. Most people won’t improve if the stop where you’re stopping. Flys we’re good tho
