Yes! I've done a lot of bodyweight/light weight workouts in the past, but want to move into lifting more weight. Just watched all the PF machine videos so I can start with machines, they've been so helpful! Thank you Kev!
Thank you so much for your content my guy! I never had a gym membership before and its quite intimidating going into one and scanning the QR codes located on machines for tutorials. I enjoy being at home taking notes and practicing my form prior to going in. The gym is one of the few places where I am a visual learner and I really appreciate your videos!
You’re welcome! I’m so glad these videos are more helpful for you as you start going to the gym! Great job planning ahead before you get to the actual machines. Will save you lots of time and make your workouts more efficient. Keep up the good work!
I’m going to the gym for the first time tomorrow morning and this is helping me plan. I’ve been avoiding going for years because I didn’t know how to use the machines. Thank you 🙏
Hey, Regular Guy! I’m glad these videos can help! You got this. Also, if you want some workout routine ideas, check out my most recent reels! You got this!
Great video! I love how you just get to the meat of each set of machines, how to adjust for your size, correct form, etc. Just started Planet Fitness and they have several machines that I didn't have at my previous gym so your videos have been so helpful.
Thank you for making this video! It’s my first week going to a gym and I’ve been really intimidated by the equipment, especially as someone who’s short. This helped lessen my anxiousness in understanding how to adjust the machines to my size and I feel a lot more prepared. You’re doing awesome work and Godbless you for this video!
omg thank you for this! I was so intimidated by these machines and who wants to be standing at a machine reading the paragraphs then going through trial and error?!! It's giving "injury" lol. Now im ready to attack these machines lol Thanks!!
May god bless you!! I’m a teen girl with INSANEEE anxiety who is terrified of looking like a clueless clown in the gym, this video is literally a lifesaver. Thank you!!🤍🤍
I'm a 52 year old guy who just joined a new gym after a few years off. I've been working out since i was 17, i was a certified fitness trainer... and i felt exactly the same way 🙂
😮😮😮 omg you are such a good instructor!!!!! 😢😢😢😮😮😮 thanks for explaining step by step. I found you out of nowhere. ❤❤❤ Are you sure you don’t teach math 😅😅😅
Thanks for making these videos! They definitely help the gym feel less intimidating for someone like me who is new to the gym and overwhelmed with all of the crazy looking equipment😎🫡
I did the first machine the other day and felt strain in my lower back. It would be helpful to indicate how close or far the seat should be adjusted and also how the back should be positioned in the seat
Whenever you select the prefer weight on each machine, you neglect to explain what the yellow knob is for after you select the weight they want to use the yellow knob, what is a for?
This is probably a dumb question: but does anybody know what the yellow pin is on some of the equipment (leg press etc) with the 0lbs, 5lbs, and 10lbs listed on it? It’s right above the pin to adjust the weights. Does that just add more weight?
Hi Kev, Im 60, out of shape and just joined Planet Fitness. Do you have an overall workout routine posted or is there one available? Id like to do a total body workout 3-4 x a week. Thanks!
Hey, Mike! Glad you're joining the gym and getting healthier! I created a 6-Week Upper/Lower Body Split program below. It's not a full-body, but does allow you to put more emphasis on both regions: kevthetrainer.mykajabi.com/offers/ixJ5ef7r This program has 2 upper body and 2 lower body workouts per week, with a focus on using gym machines to get you started. You can use discount code "STRENGTH" for 10% off. Hope that helps!
Nothing wrong with locking out under control unless you have a medical condition that gives you hypermobile joints. For anyone interested in muscle growth, not locking out increases TUT but lowers volume - You won't be able to perform as many reps - and volume is a bigger contributor to hypertrophy.
King! you have no clue what you’ve done for the gym girls with anxiety 😂
Thanks so much! I’m glad this could help all of them ☺️!

This was very helpful! Thanks for sharing
Just started at the gym and im saving this video for reference! Thank you for your help!
Thank you so much for this video!! You have no idea how helpful this is!!! 🥰
Any tips for a short gal on the leg curl and extension at planet fitness? I find my back creeps forward even on the shortest back setting.
Great video, Kev👍 subbed❤

Can you do a water row machine video
Squats with the bar on the front of your shoulder gives the front sweep to the thigh
This glute machine is different from my pf. Ours you have to press your chest against the pad as if you are leaning forward
My gym has the new glute machine. Extremely uncomfortable.
Thank you 💪🏾🦵🏾❤️

It adds 5, 10, or 15 extra lbs

Not a dumb question at all! The yellow pin does add the designated weight
The yellow pin is a "fine adjustment". The main pin moves in 20lb increments, the yellow pin moves in 5,10,15lb increments.
Hi sir I’m a new subscriber. May I ask which machine I can use to have a strong arm and grip without developing muscle? Thank you

Toes facing in will hit your outer thigh.facing out your inner thigh
If planet fitness would get a hip thurst machine they would gain lots of members

Most people don’t know if they have knee problems. Good 👍 tip though
