I get it dude. I have some small body work (08 GT) which only one shop would even consider doing it ($4000). I mention a Maserati and they look terrified and won't even change a light bulb on it. It's a damn car! Spoke to a dealership about a oil change and Maserati doesn't consider a oil change independently but will change it for $700.00 and not even reset the oil life button. So I'm taking it in for a $3,500 service. I have 23k miles on the 08 GT but age to include mileage will all have to be up to date. I'm told your supposed to have a separate 401(k) fund for service and incidentals.

Ik im late here, but I recently seen a video about Ferrari's and how the company (which is the same company as Maserati). And they say Ferrari does not like independent contractors working on there cars or modifying your own car and apparently if they find out, you will get a legal letter in the mail to never purchase a Ferrari... happened to a celeb.

Tbh that’s one of the pros of being a technician yourself. I help out my neighbors with their cars that want a good looking car but for a low price. Oil changes in this car isn’t that hard just a couple extra things you have to do the will maybe take 5 more mins then the normal oil changes

Good Day Sir IWANNGOSOMEWHEREEE, cool video. I too am in the DC Area and (w/2018 Ghibli SQ4) noticed you started on the high side of the MD Beltway, and drove all the way in to VA to get your car serviced. You passed by the Maryland Maserati dealership and put the additional miles on your car. Perhaps you are just loyal to the dealership of purchase. I Flew to Florida to purchase mine and returned home on the Auto Train the same day with the car. I have used the MD Dealership to get warranty work & parts completed. Enjoy the ride my friend as I know I do every time I get behind the wheel. :-) If you want to get into changing your own oil and basic maintenance, hit me back. I have a co-worker who also owns a Ghibli and we do our own yearly maintenance. And yes, my car is still under warranty as well. Again, Thanks for the video, looking forward to more of them. Possibly pass each other on the Beltway from time-to-time.

A dealer shouldn’t be able to void a warranty if you do your own maintenance…
“You can service your own car and keep the warranty. According to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty act, which is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission, it's illegal for manufacturers or dealers to void your warranty or deny you coverage because you performed the work yourself.”

I have a 2018 Mazerati Ghibli. My experience has been that various lift machines at regular tire shops aren’t usually equipped to lift the Mazerati car in regards to the under carriage of the vehicle. There are certain pressure points on the undercarriage that need to be carefully placed when lifting the Mazerati so that the undercarriage isn’t cracked or broken. I’d be nervous to buy a used one to be honest. Good for leasing so you don’t have to pay for repairs if they happen. After a few years is when things start to go wrong typically. I just traded it in a month ago actually. Experienced no problems though

So basically a grand for an oil change and going to make it look like they did you a favor lol . My dealer out here in Missouri is more than fair for an oil change it’s $350 & the annual service is is another $700 for plugs & filters, throw in the brake service & add another $550. I know most Maserati owners want the dealer records to reflect the service done BUT you can change your own oil on these cars for about $125 & it’s no harder than changing the oil on a Ford Flex, it literally took me longer to remove the stupid shield off the under carriage than it did to change the actual oil (minus waiting for it to drain) BTW on my Granturismo the plugs were pretty straightforward to change as well.
