thanks Bill, here in Canada we pay too much for everything, have you bought engine oil lately? you should make a video about that, I have seen a 5Litres jug at a Canadian tire sale for $70.00 isn't that insanity? how can it go from $28.00 to $70.00 in 12 months?
Yeah Bud the price for oil is out of control. In 2017 and 18 I bought many 5 liter jugs of synthetic oil on sale for $20. I'm still happily using from those jugs today but stock is getting low. Looks like I may have to buy some of that expensive oil soon. When I do need to buy some oil I will see if I can get it on sale and then compare to some of those great neighbors to our south prices. Thanks Bud.
@@crazybillsgarage, to be frank with you I looked all over all over allover the internet and couldnt find the answer, is it trudeau cabone tax? in the USA it is half the price.
@budblack3588 not sure what it is, my friends in Idaho buy there oil for about $20 which is synthetic and ours has reached into plus $50. Free trade works great.
Walmart or Costco have affordable synthetic oil - two 5 qt jugs of Kirkland for $55 in SK at regular price in 2024 - both certified to ILSAC and Dexos 1, so why spend more? Caveat is that only the common viscosity grades are available and for Costco you need a membership
Good video! I get the Toyota Filters at my dealer for $6.69, if I remember correctly. Because both filters are made by Denso, I mentally kept going back and forth on with which filter to get for my Tacoma. Thanks for the comparison. Looks like the Toyota Filter is the way to go. Thanks again.
Was there a purpose to this? They are different filters for different vehicles. You don’t remember what they cost, ones been spread out one hasn’t. No pleat count. No idea if we’re looking at glued seams or crimped. Not sure what the audience is supposed to get out of this. 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you for watching the video, if you didn't enjoy them I'm sorry. There are other videos with much more detail than I, as far as I go in my videos is show the filter off and inside construction. Not sure why pleat count is a thing, guess other channels get caught up on that. But you made some points I will consider.
Yes, there was a reason. I asked for the comparison and Bill was kind enough to do it. Why? I wanted to see if there was a difference in the manufacturing of a Denso filter to a Toyota/Denso filter. Apparently, it would seem, their basic construction is different.
Denso First Time Fit (FTF) vs Toyota Thai (made by) Denso. FTF made in China now. and uses a nitrile adbv (despite what box says). Burn tests have proven. Toyota Thai Denso, no endcap type and believe it or not, black adbv should burn test as silicone. A rare exception. Unfortunately, no efficiency info available for either.
Thanks faxmen, useful information there. Toyota has some good standards for there oil filters so it was no surprise to see the difference in the Filters. Not to say that Densa has good standards also.
@@crazybillsgarage The Toyota spin on, basically their cartridge filter inside a can. A 2011 Amsoil sponsored test using industry standard test, showed them to be not very efficient. But, generally speaking Toyota engines have solid reliability.
Denso has differents manufacturer countries around the world. China uses the cheapestt and poor quality of materials . Japan, Tailand and Taiwan use the highest construction and quality ever made. Stay away from Good brands made in china.
Nice video, just because some others don't get the video doesn't mean a thing, I get why it was done.😊
Right On 😃

Taxes in general , lot of " hidden " taxes and also the cost of living is much higher here . The list goes on and on 😞@@budblack3588

Your welcome Vance, it was fun comparing the 2 filters.
Good video Bill.
Thanks Stan.
Intersting to see how they are different 🤔
Yeah they are from Denso but so different in how Toyota request there filter to be made.
Yeah, I would have thought that they would be the same. Thanks to Bill, we now know that they are not the same.
tayota or toyota?
Oh man you gave me a Scare in thinking I spelled Toyota wrong, thanks Austin I needed that. LoL 😂

Denzo
Mine is a Denso.
I use both of them in my 04 Camry V6 and can tell not difference. Both are quality filters. Picking shit with the chickens.
So many filters out there, just nice having the few that actually do a great job.

@faxmen09 thanks Faxmen, like you said they must work fine if Toyota engines are still putting in those incredible miles.

Thank you, good points.

Not apples for apples either,so whats the point?
Yup thanks for watching, glad your a nice person or you probably would of really roasted me. You didn't get it, I understand.
