Looked like a great hike and camping 🏕️🥾 The views are great up there! Good thing that last time you stopped. If you're feeling dizzy there is no reason to mess around and try to push on. Safety first! Thanks for taking us along with you😁
Hello Pete! That was an almighty climb to get up there with a pack on and sub-par fitness. Hats off to you! My fitness is lacking at the moment too and it's putting me off getting out for a lengthy walk and camp, but you've reminded me that most of these achievements require little more than will power to make up for floundering physical fitness. Those views were really special. I can tell you enjoyed this one! ATB, James.
An enjoyable watch Pete..perfect pitch, i camped up there in deep snow many years ago, best sleep i have ever had in a tent...Loved the spoon improvisation...shame about the scumbags that left all the shit by the tarn..proper w*****s.
Yeah agreed Steven. The chap I talked to works in intelligence and has ways of tracking the w……s from the barcodes and stock numbers on the gas canisters. The videos don’t sharpen up until a couple of hours after posting, I find. Thanks for watching. Looking forward to your next. Atb
That’s what I call haute cuisine 😂. It was a perfect camp. There was a great night sky too.Milky way clear overhead and clear in every direction. No cloud. Thanks for watching. Atb
Really enjoyed that camp. Calm night and starlit too. The Tarpstar 1 is my go to summer tent. I did use it on Great Knoutberry which I did a video for. ( my boots froze overnight 🥶) I had a down bag and wore lots of down gear. Thanks for watching. Atb
I sold on my T2 and got the T1. I do believe you can buy the T1 inner separately. However, the T1 inner has a connector on its apex which nicely clips into a socket on the underside of the outer. This wouldn’t plug into the T2 outer roof inside. Possibly you could still use a trekking pole inside the T1 inner up to the roof of the outer. The reinforced fabric seems heavier on the T2 apex and inner ‘sock’. I’ve had the T1 out a few times. I really like it, only 1kg total with pegs. (I use msg groundhogs). I used a one man tent groundsheet for my vestibule in the T1, saving weight from not having the huge T2 groundsheet. See my last few vids. ATB
You can easily set the fly up first. The inner has a clip on the top of the which clips into a buckle under the fly. You clip that in and spread the inner and use small pegs to hold it. It’s dead easy I’ve done it both ways. I’ve used a small ground sheet from an old tent in the vestibule. On my Swarth fell/ wild boar video I did the fly first. There’s plenty of room to nip in a do the inner doing the pegging the back of the inner first.
Correction: Pike O’Stickle was In fact Pike O’Blisco!
Thanks for lending us your ferro rod, was lovely sharing the spot with you. Great video!
Your best video so far Pete. Really enjoyed it mate. ❤
Cheers bud. I bet it was the superior cuisine you liked🤣

Yeah, I never back off but I was overheating and plunged my head in the mountain stream. Live to fight another day. Thanks for watching.

250th subscriber! Using the tent peg to eat the Mug Shot swung it for me. Nice video Pete. 👍

Did you manage to get the Tarpstar 1 inner on its own, or bought a complete new tent?
I’ve got the 2 and think the 1 inner would be handy to have.

Can you set the tent up flysheet first, or do you have to put the inner up first?

@@unclepeteswildadventures thank you.
Keith, I have put a short video up re how to pitch the T1 outer first. Atb
Love it!
I could see all the stars and especially the Milky Way at night.
