Mangos are naturally high in sugar. For the added sugar, I rinse the sugar off the mangos. That hydrates them while removing the sugar. The mangos actually taste much much better this way.

I tried to tell my daughter about the sugar and weight but she had to go through something to really learn it. Thankfully she's healthier and I believe happier. She reads the labels on everything now! I only was trying to get her to realize that it's on her father's side of the family and she had a chance of having it with the foods they eat. I told her for years now not to eat the junk her husband eats. He doesn't eat much of anything that is good for him. Vegetables and some fruit do your body better than frozen processed foods. So glad that she's listening and doing better for herself!! ❤

Obviously if you have a weight or blood sugar issue you should have very small servings but for a healthy person who drinks plenty of water and gets plenty of fiber that 27 grams of natural sugar should not be an issue but you probably shouldn't eat a full serving on a daily basis anyway.

"The Papua New Guineans traditionally subsisted on a plant based diet, of which a number of varieties of sweet potatoes typically supplied over 90% of dietary intake. They also grew a number of other crops including corn, as well as sugar cane which was consumed as a delicacy. Pig feasts are organised a few times a year, but at which pork is not consumed in excess of 50 grams. A dietary survey on the Papua New Guineans highlanders estimated that carbohydrate accounted for 94.6% of total energy intake, among the highest recorded in the world. Total energy intake was adequate, however only 3% of energy intake was derived from protein (25g for men and 20g for women), yet there was no evidence of dietary induced protein deficiency or anemia. Furthermore, this surveyed population was described as being muscular and mostly very lean, physically fit and in good nutritional state.16 17 They also drank 'soft' water which is considered a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. It was estimated that tobacco was smoked by 73% of males and 20% females. Also, the highlanders spend up to twelve hours a day inside a smoke-filled house due to centrally placed open wood fires with little ventilation and no chimneys in their homes, resulting in a very high exposure to hazardous smoke in this population.16
Despite cardiac risk factors including high exposure to smoke and soft drinking water, a number of authors observed a great rarity of incidence of atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease and stroke among the traditional Papua New Guineans, but also noted an increase in incidence paralleling the Westernization of the nation. In 1958, Blackhouse reported on autopsies of 724 individuals between 1923 and 1934 and found no evidence of heart attack incidence and only one case of slight narrowing of the coronary arteries. However, it has been suggested that this study was selective as only a small portion of the autopsies were performed on females or the elderly. In 1969, Magarey et al. published a report on the autopsy results of 217 aortas and found a great rarity of atherosclerosis. The authors noted that the prevalence and severity of atherosclerosis was less than had been reported in any previously investigated population.18 In 1973, Sinnett and Whyte published findings from a survey of 779 highlanders using electrocardiograms among other methods, and found little probable evidence of coronary heart disease, and no clinical evidence of diabetes, gout, Parkinson’s disease, or any previous incidence of stroke.16
For a population that consumed virtually the highest intake of carbohydrates out of any population to also have virtually the lowest incidence of atherosclerosis and diabetes ever recorded highlights the vital importance of the health properties of specific carbohydrate rich foods. These findings further question certain 'carbohydrate-induced dyslipidemia' hypotheses, emphasized by certain researchers, who perhaps intentionally do not always take the quality of carbohydrate rich foods into careful consideration.19
In 1900, Sir William MacGregor reported in the Lancet in regards to the observed rarity of cancer among the native Papua New Guineans, asserting that:20
For nine and a half years I never saw a case in British New Guinea ; but at the end of that time there occurred an example of sarcoma of the tibia in a Papuan, who had for seven or eight years lived practically a European life, eating tinned Australian meat daily.
In 1974, Clezy brought to attention the rarity of mortality from colorectal cancer among the Papua New Guineans, for which the observed annual rate per 100,000 was 0.6 for men and 0.2 for women. These rates were 100 fold lower than that of many developed nations during the same time period, although this could have been in part explained by underdiagnosis.17
Even in more recent statistics after modest changes towards a western diet, the Papua New Guineans still had among the lowest rates of hip fractures in the world, which Frassetto et al. observed was more than 50 fold lower than that of the Scandinavian nations.21 Although these researchers ascribed the worldwide differences in rates of hip fractures to the ratio of vegetable to animal protein, evidence from prospective cohort studies and randomized controlled trials, as well as experimental animal models suggests that saturated fat may be at least as great, if not an even greater contributor to poor bone health.22 23 24 25 26 "(healthylongevity.blogspot.com/2012/11/traditional-diets-in-asia-pacific-and.html?m=1)

Wrong wrong wrong, the more carbohydrates (starch and sugar) from whole foods, including fruit, the better. The body runs on sugar. That is it's preffered fuel. The only reason why it's better to not eat too much dried fruits is because they are not that high in water. It has nothing to do with sugar. The more sugar from fruits and sweet vegetables and whole grains and legumes and potatoes, the better! Too much FAT is what scews up your insulin sensitivity and doesn't allow insulin to work properly. Fat should be at most 20% of your caloric intake, and saturated fat should be below 5%. Too much saturated fat kills beta cells. FAT FAT FAT is the problem if you eat too much. The body is designed to run on glucose. The more carbohydrates from fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes the better!!! I eat 400-800 grams of carbs a day from whole foods, zero added or refined sugar, and I am 5'8" and 120 pounds, very low body fat, excellent blood work. Last A1c was 4.6. Triglycerides always below 100. Low carb diets are an abomination!

High fats from animal products is the worse thing a human can put in our body. Human comparative anatomy even proves how we are linked to frugivores. This false info needs to stop man. I’m sick of this misinformation on what to eat. It causes a lot of Eds & lifetime confusion. Not only that is the reason why obesity is at a all time high. Fatty fried foods plague are world making everyone sick & not as healthy as we could be. Low carb basically is just as bad as almost starving because we are literally starving our selves of our correct fuel & drying ourselves out. We live in a confused world when it comes to true way of eating. You’re right the true way to eat is high carb vegan low fat.

Mangoes although naturally high in “Sweetness” consumed fresh are “High” in needed nutrients, Right? Therefore, I suggest a broader article on dehydration and freeze dried consumption. Knowing that the “Mango” itself is a “MAJOR CROP” for a Country and doesn’t deserve ANY negatives implied, when it is a valuable fruit that should be promoted. Compare to Pineapple, that also when eaten is considered healthy. Being Diabetic or OCD means balance and moderation, Right. I think it does suggest that as stated below, “it comes down to the bar code”, knowing your body and being aware of what you eat. Home dehydration and freeze drying are still exceptional ways to, eat more fruits. I’m sorry but people are going to, “only see Mango”, when all dehydrated fruit has a high sugar content. Because fresh fruit doesn’t come with a barcode/label. I’m simply asking for clarification on all dehydrated fruit and their labels. It’s simple to suggest as always, Dehydrated Fruit is NOT diabetic friendly? 🥲 I do, I do, I do Love my Pear Chips. ✌🏽❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽✌🏽✌🏽♥️

Sorry, our country doesn't have fresh blueberries and it's rare here as well, I only found the dried ones but the sugar and carb level on the nutrional facts are damn high!

I realized this after purchasing Chile (supposedly organic) 🥭 from Costco. I don’t know why I ignored the ingredients at that time. I usually never purchase anything unless I know what’s in it. I couldn’t believe how much sugar was added. I took them back for a full refund!!

Nutrition Facts for a single mango:
Each cup of sliced mango (165 grams) contains approximately:
    107 calories.
    3 grams of fiber.
    24 grams of. sugar.
    1 gram of. protein.
25 percent. daily value of vitamin A.
76 percent. daily value of vitamin C.
    257 mg of. potassium.
    0.2 mg of. vitamin B-6.
It’s not about the amount of carbs (sugar), it’s the source.
I’ve lost 70 pounds in 4 months exercising twice a day, five days a week and eating clean foods, just like this, along with other macronutrient dense foods in their most natural state. HVLC!

I'm going to guess you dont sleep that well and if that's the case your hole bodys going to be out of whack. My suggestion is start there get off the sleeping meds they only work for a short period of time. Check out the huberman lab podcast extremely good information on sleep all backed by science. Good luck

I gave up dried fruit as the sugar content makes one fat.
Better eat a fresh piece of fruit. Also frozen berries a tablespoon is enough.
