Umm. Dude. You NEED to get into PC gaming. The Mods for certain games can be insane. This game plays 100% differently with things like the AI fix, "TemplarGFX's V6 Overhaul" and more. The Vanilla game is honestly crap compared to the experience with all those upgrades. I've played this game multiple times both ways.
you didnt add the pathing tweak for the xenos . as well as fix the misspelling doing so makes the xenos not only attack you but attack your marine allies as well as wayland mercs

Disney hold the rights now yes? If they aproves a new movie based after beggining of alien 3 like this game does it will be a great movie and dont screw with timeline i think
@@Sebastianmaz615 you should give the "Alien III" by William Gibson a listen over on audible. Basically the OG Alien 3 script that had Ripley in a coma (but alive) Hicks and Newt alive, and Bishop back as well. Cherry on top? Voiced by Michael Biehn and Lance Henriksen. 😏😏
There's no mod for the 4k itself, that's just the resolution you can pick if you have a 4k monitor or if the game detects a 3840x2160 input, the only mod is the TemplarGFX Overhaul which improves the graphics and gameplay of the game
Those marines has really bad A.I. they just standing there and do nothing... and no friendly fire.. weird.. this game should be on PS2... was waiting for this one way to long..

God, this is more painful to watch than I thought...! I'm only 40 mins in but what is up with the horrible nonsensical lame mess of a story? I imagine there was an overall direction that they wanted events to go, but getting from bullet point A to B in that list of main events would have required at least an ounce of writing talent. Some burning questions from the first half hour: How long have the other two squads been fighting on the Sulaco before the rest of the marines were woken up on the Sephora? Why are there squads of marines all over the Sulaco from the get go? Why did they not evac the wounded via the umbilical that was right there, instead of O'Neil doing CPR on them? Why are they sending in a single marine (you) when two full squads are already lost? Why would the commander order a retreat when Winter and Keyes are right next to the flight recorder? What the hell is wrong with Keyes, blowing up a perfectly good dropship, and then the umbilical? (I know colonial marines are a bit reckless in Aliens but is he medically insane?) Why would the Sulaco flight recorder be trusted to such a dumb*ss? How convenient is it that the fire control section of the Sulaco is not turned into a hive, even though the part where the flight recorder is held (which is apparently nowhere near the bridge, yay!) is alien central? Why does the Sulaco open fire on the Sephora, while the two ships are tethered together, and are practically a couple dozen meters apart at best? (Did the same AI gave the order or wrote this part of the game that drives the enemy soldiers?) Last but not least, why do companies employ morons who forced the CoD sections into this game? Can we find that one person who came up with this idea and make him responsible for ruining the game even more? I remember that this game was weak and as an Alien-fan, a huge disappointment, but at the time, even as a not very young adult, I did not realize that the whole story is just a chain of gaping plotholes and nonsense. I appreciate all the work that TemplarGFX put in, making the game semi-playable (while also apparently turning the facehuggers into The Terminator), but there are issues that cannot be fixed by mods. In light of the above, even if the game played decently from the start, it would still be a piece of garbage, put together by some dedicated people but also a lot of untalented superficial morons. (And I am saying this because I could write better fan fiction than this story. Quite easily, actually.) Just figured I share, I promise not to comment with more of my findings further on. :D
This game needed less NPCs. And less talking. One of the most obnoxious game ive ever played. Seems to be a pattern with Gearbox games; obnoxious talking.

@connorbaz5980 unfortunately the last version of the Templar mod seems to be buggy and causes crashes.

I would love a remake/remaster or sequel to this game. This is how an Aliens game should be. An FPS, not a strategy game.

dear god the graphics looks like doom 3 hard pass even on sale.
Imo the mod makes it look worse instead of better. Was just playing th3 vanilla build fully maxed out and looks pretty good
