Moonshine burger is a legendary burger for a reason, it really has this special quality you can't mistake, and it's impossibility of juicy and tasty in such levels you'd swear it's simply witchcraft.
There’s a seafood/steak restaurant in my city that serves the most delicious burgers on Tuesdays from 11am-2pm or until sold out. It’s an excuse for them to grind the leftover weekend cuts and each week has a different special burger topped with repurposed “specials” as toppings. Wonderful.
That's actually true "hamburger". Hamburger was originally made by grinding up the trim. This would include pieces that were cut off from roasts to make them look better as they aged in the counter. Today they grind up fresh meat and it's just not as good. Even ground sirloin doesn't have the flavor of "leftover" meat.
@@debunkthejunk1 exactly! That’s why I love it so much. And due to having rotating cuts as specials, it’s always a slightly different experience but surprisingly consistent…if that makes sense?
A sense of exclusivity really does help a small business in some instances. Local BBQ joint in my town is only open from 8AM-to when they sell out (normally before noon) on Fridays and Saturdays, and I've met people from states over coming to try it. Same for my favorite donut shop, only open for 10 minutes after 8am (that's when they sell out) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Also, a great brickoven pizza joint that's in a small town with under 50 residents that is a summer only establishment.
Hey, maybe old info but Boots Burgers is pretty easy to get. The real interesting thing is that it’s a burger shop in the guys house and you can’t eat on his property cuz he doesn’t have the license for that. Lol Cool place, great burger
I can see the place from my house, genuinely is just the guys house. They sell until they close but usually run out of meat before that. And the burgers are some of the best
i am from Rockwall and live down the street from Boots. He does not work on his lunch break but he gets fresh meat everyday and when he runs out then he is done for the day. I have seen him sell out in 30 mins tho so you got to get there right when he opens

"Boots" Mooney started the business, then his daughter Darla Mooney took over. I think his grandson? runs it now. Any time I am near Rockwall, we stop for some awesome Boots Burgers! ❤
I'm not too far from Moonshine. Been there a few times. They are absolutely delicious. The local Chilly Willy's in town sources their meat from the same place, so they're a decent substitute when you don't want to go out that far. Moonshine has put up some new buildings recently and there seems to be a little town cropping up around it.

At some point they closed the food side and continued to sell sports apparel. The side where they made the burgers, stayed there, just empty. Until years and years later, they decided to randomly open for a day and make a limited amount of burgers. I don't know if they still randomly have a burger sale or not, but it could happen.
