    Cerulean is a Cobalt color. That's why some paint companies refer to their PB36 Cerulean as a Cobalt Turquoise. Naming conventions are all over the place.

I do not like the "bulge "handle , but still this quill looks really great , I really want a daVinci quill . i didn"t know brush review flops on youtube , that's sad , what's the point in havinf fancy paint and paper if you don't have the right brush to marry them ? thank you , your videos always brings me smile and valuable knowledge .

    That's a lot of really good stuff. I do agree with the other commenter tho on the Stillman and Burn, if you want nice watercolor paper the Beta would be better I think, less pages but much thicker. In the Stillman and burn sketchbook that you bought you go only got the 150 GSM watercolour paper is 270 GSM they have different levels of sketchbooks and names that one is only meant for dry media understandably that’s why you don’t like it I’ve made the same mistake before picking up the wrong one because they all look so similar. You need to go for the Alpha series again but 270 GSM coldpressed, it might be a different name there’s also the Delta series which has cream-coloured pages. I think there’s the beta series and there’s also the Zeta series and there’s a few more.

      @@PaintinHiding don’t be so hard on yourself you made perfect sense. I just haven’t seen absolutely everything you’ve done yet and was unaware that you had tried all of that. I know what it’s like trying to find a sketchbook that you really love that also lies flat opened like you wanted to but can also take all the mediums that you want to use at a reasonable price. I think that’s the biggest thing for most of us Watercolor sketchbooks if you want a good quality one, I just so expensive that trying to find a cheap version is like trying to find a needle in a haystack of needles. I do hope you find something that you love and enjoy. And that’s a reasonable price. If you do let us know I’ll be running to get one myself if I come across any that I really like that a good quality. I’ll let you know there are some good ones on Temu that are handmade and I believe they actually use the academy, but Home paper inside. Just be careful not to buy the drawing paper one. On the Blick website it says that Windsor Newton cannot be shipped outside of North America. Blick ships internationally just like Jackson's . Blick and other US and Canadian retailers may have complained about Jackson's selling Windsor Newton in their territory. Blick has lower prices for Daniel Smith watercolors than Jackson's. • @PaintinHiding
      @PaintinHiding  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      both PB28 and PB35 are cobalts so they're both expensive as far as pigments go. PB35 is your typical cerulean blue whereas PB28 is mostly used for cobalt blues or turquoises. i wouldn't necessarily say one pigment is 'better' than another as it's relative to each individual's preferences. personally i prefer pb35 for cerulean blue red shade, i like it warm. but like i said in the vid, i got this sennelier one because it's interesting to see a 'cerulean blue' colour made with a 'cobalt blue' pigment.
