  • "Whatever happened was going to be alright." If Wally can think that while staring down a few German rifles after being shot out of the sky, then we can adopt that same mindset in our regular ol' lives.
We are so lucky to get the chance to sit down with Wally and hear his story; we're also lucky to have a platform on which we can share these stories with all of you guys. Listen to another WWII Veteran talk about what it was like to storm the beaches of Iwo Jima at 16 years old: • Storming the Beaches o...

@@BlackRifleCoffeeCompany I wish My Grandad (RAF) who was in Malta during the Siege was able to talk to me and his Son, My Dad, about what happened. He came back after the war a different person. I Love (It Inspires me to be better every day) seeing these Gentlemen being able to speak about what they saw and experienced, it in a small way gives me an understanding of what my Grandfather's and Great Uncles (One of whom survived the Burma Railroad) and Uncles did, experienced and what they achieved! Now as an Adult I realise more and more just what all of these people gave up and sacrificed for us all. Thank you all at Black Rifle Coffee for saving all of these memories and sharing them so we can all learn and hopefully understand.

Wally is the kindest guy you'll ever meet. Even at his Advanced age he would offer to mow our lawn! Or bringing groceries for my mom. His service to this country didn't stop with the war. He served his community well and was active in the VA and participated in the reunions when they came through our town. Wally and Roy where great men and definitely part of the greatest generation!
