    • @CaswellCustoms
      @CaswellCustoms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bignick45 no I wouldn’t put a T in, they’re 2 separate systems. This video is a catch can for your PCV, the other one side that feeds into your intake elbow is your CCV. You could technically add another catch can there.

    Question. I have an 08 Tahoe with a 5.3, and have only been running it for very short daily trips. I'm getting condensation in the oil, I hope only is anyway). Would one of these help with that ?

    • @c117ls7
      @c117ls7 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably not, the problem is that you're not driving long enough to get the oil up to full temp to boil off all the water/condensation. Maybe let it idle a little longer before you take off or try to take it on a longer drive every once in a while. If you're running E85 like me, it makes this problem even worse

      I have a 2008 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3L engine that has about 182,000 miles on it. What could make it idle so roughly at stop lights? The lights will slightly dim when the idle drops and the truck jerks sometimes when driving (it is fair to say I am a "feather foot" and baby tap my vehicles' gas and break pedals) I've had Chevy dealership, automotive shops, and some mechanics tell me there is nothing wrong and all that is normal, but I do smell gas periodically. I have replaced the plugs, wires, coils, battery, alternator, charcoal, canister, purge valve canister, purge valve solenoid (which the shop replaced again for some reason), O2 sensors, fuel cap, fuel injectiors, fuel rail pressure sensor, MAP sensor, Air flow mass sensor, intake manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets, transmission pan and gasket and bolts, transmission filter and fluids. I did have a leaking oil pan gasket, but Chevy replaced it. The only thing I was told is the fuel pumps tend to go out in this generation of chevys sometimes. Is there anything that comes to your mind or am I just looking for ghosts?

    • @johnlee8734
      @johnlee8734 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the book reply, I just wanted to make sure I covered everything. Oh yeah, I replaced all blown fuses and corrected and replaced the door actuator, wiring harness, and bad window switches and driver door switch modules causing it and I couldn't find any paracitic draws when I tested it in circuit with a working multimeter, only found .01amps of current.
