My Ghost of Tsushima Walkthrough Gameplay Part Channel will have intro, ending, death, tips, guides, tutorials, test, location videos on this channel. I worked really hard to get this out to everyone and hopefully you find these tips helpful.
I will cover more samurai games as the years go on!
Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 and Playstation 5. Featuring an open world for players to explore, it revolves around Jin Sakai, one of the last samurai on Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the 1270s. The game will be released on July 17, 2020.
The game is set on Tsushima Island in the late 13th century. It will feature a diverse assortment of regions and buildings, such as countrysides, fields, shrines, ancient forests, villages, farms, mountainscapes and various landmarks. Players will encounter numerous characters, friends, and unlikely allies while adventuring.
    Characters:
The protagonist, Jin Sakai, is a samurai warrior. His friend and companion Masako is a female samurai. The main antagonist is the ruthless and cunning general Khotun Khan of the Mongol Empire. Other characters include Onibaba, the High Priestess, and Ippei the Monk.
    Plot
Set on Tsushima Island in the year 1274, the game revolves around one of the island's last samurai, Jin Sakai, during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The armies of the Mongol Empire, utilizing weapons and military tactics unknown to the Japanese, have conquered and devastated many countries and Tsushima is all that stands between them and the mainland of Japan. The island was devastated by the first wave of the Mongol invasion; its samurai forces were easily defeated, allowing the invaders to conquer large swaths of territory where they terrorize the local inhabitants and gather resources to build up their strength. Jin is one of the few survivors of his clan, wiped out while trying to defend the island. With his world shattered, Jin realizes that the way he was trained to fight is useless against such a powerful enemy. Ultimately, he must learn the way of the Ghost, an unconventional fighting style that emphasizes small-scale attacks, creating fear in the minds of the enemy, and using their own weapons against them, to defeat the Mongols and prevent them from launching a full invasion of the mainland.

If any of ya'll know the references let me know, I think the Egyptian one was an allusion to the one episode with the blind archers but idk,

Am I the only one who thought it would've been a better ending for him to slay Aku in the future and just stay there accepting the burden of repairing the world Aku destroyed? There was an episode in the original run that hinted at that a bit. It would've been a good moral, accepting that one cannot change the past but they can definitely change the future.

Or at least had more time with his friends and allies after defeating Aku. In the episode where he beats the archers he had a time portal ready but destroyed it to save the archers and then they lived happily in peace; he gave them freedom at the cost of his goal, but logically they wouldn't have suffered anyway if he had taken the portal and changed the past. After defeating Aku, his friends should have had at least one chat with him and realise that stopping Aku in the past maybe meant that none of them would exist anymore, that their lifes where a battle for a peace they would not even be able to enjoy (or maybe take their chances to see if changing the past really does effect the future).

I personally would like an ending where Jack doesn’t get to return to the past, and instead has to build a better future. You can’t change the past type of thing. Because going to the past and stopping Aku only killed countless lives by erasing their existence. Plus it makes sense. Throughout the series Jack is set on returning to the past, but he makes so many new friends and family… there are even times when he has sacrificed going to the past in order to save someone in his present.

Jack’s final season and ending were a farcry from the adventures we had in the past. That’s what worked against fans expectation. This season was more mature, more existential, and threw alot at us as Jack finally was hurled towards his final conclusion.
Jack’s final lesson is perhaps the hardest as he feels loss one final time as Ashi fades and cements his growth from the young warrior so many years ago. It might not be a happy one but much like Primal’s ending where our hero may face a trial that ultimately defeats him, the overall journey led to a greater tommorow.
Every victory comes at some form of loss. Whether your aware of it or not.

Unpopular opinion: while this ending would have been fine, I don't think it carries the same emotional weight as the epilogue ending. Kurosawa-style tragedy has always been a major thread through the entire series. I found the fact that he lost everyone he met and loved from his journeys in the future as the price of victory over evil to be much more interesting than a standard, happy, hero wins and gets the girl ending.

I feel they were building up to a fantastic ending--a final showdown where Jack doesn't kill Aku but rather all the people he helped come to realize they had the power to end his tyranny all along, if they only work together. But much more importantly is the lesson for Jack; he cannot go back, all of the torment and suffering has still happened, and it cannot be undone. He needs to accept that, and come to terms with the reality that while he cannot fix the past he CAN build a better future. I think that is a moral that would both be more fitting to the character and his development, but in a larger picture it is a message the younger generations really need right now given the geopolitical realities we face this century.
Instead we got a dues ex machina cop out. The series was fantastic up to the last 15 minutes. Ashi just pulls all of Aku's powers out of her ass, knows how to use and control them perfectly, and gets them back to the perfect moment in the perfect location on her first try. WTF? Then we have her do the 'ugh!' and we're worried she might die because she longer exists in the future, but it's just a false alarm. So then we go to the happy-go-lucky ending with a wedding and all, but only THEN does she vanish, deliberately timed to be the most tragic possible ending. Combined with the false alarm it made me feel like they wanted to lure the audience into a false sense of security and happiness, then crap on it in the most dramatic way possible. Not to mention the logical issues it creates; if she doesn't exist in the future, she wasn't there to bring Jack back in time! In fact, all of Jack's memories would vanish with her, because she never would have been there to make them, in a future that will never exist. I felt like the producers decided to flip the audience and show the bird at the very last second, going out of their way to craft a deliberately unsatisfying ending when they could have carried naturally into an extremely good one. We deserved better. JACK deserved better.

  • @trathanstargazer6421

I think despite the flaws, I like the original better. It just... fits the story better I believe. Still, I do think the original needs mixing up to make it better, and maybe even add some things to make it better for the lover crowd. This will be long but I think it would work.
First, we need an extra episode. The final battle can be easily elongated, and showcase more things and people, but it should definitely add that now that Aku is fully serious and committed he is too strong for Jack to take down for good. This makes the teleporting back in time all the better as Aku would definitely be in a weaker state then. So the final battle and all that takes place in the second to last episode. The place explodes and Jack and Ashi are outside, then Ashi suddenly collapses she looks weak for a moment before looking better. Then she says her line, about not suppose to be being born and what not sense Aku is now dead in the past, and it lingers with why is she still alive and the episode ends.
The last episode opens with that short recap about her asking that question. Jack looks at the sword and it suddenly flashes. He is back with the gods. The sword is yanked from his hand and is returned to them. They thank him for cleaning up their mess and in return. They allow Jack time to spend with Ashi before she disappears for good. Jack tries to argue and get them to make it so Ashi can stay, but they constantly knock him down, using whatever logic you want. They will get one year together. Personally, I like the idea that Ashi after taking control of Aku's power is now fully bonded to that side, and without it, can no longer live without it. Anyway, Jack returns, sword now gone. She asks what happened and we fade to black with Jack starting to explain what happened.
Next scene is Jack and Ashai returning to his home town to bring home the good news. From this point I think all dialoged can be cut till the very end, as it is no longer necessary. We can see them talking but their emotions is what shows us how things are going. Jack explains what happens to him and Ashi, and the situation. From there we get the wedding, which should have happened, and from there we can get a long montage with them just being happy. Jack showing Ashi around a world not devastated by Aku, showing her the food and people, going back to meet his mentors with her, maybe even showcasing his new skills that he learned during his extended time in the future, and during this montage we get a final scene of hte two laughing together.
Now at the end of the show, Jack and Ashi are sitting under that tree. The one from the first ending, holding each other. They talk about their time together, and what not, she is comforting him and such, and the two just spend their last moments together, then she just disappears. Then, we get the end of the original. Jack head in arms and knees, the butterfly and standing up to look over a vibrant world.
Honestly I think this would have fit much better. We still get to keep the bittersweet motif that the original had, but now with it cleaned up, and giving the two time to be a couple together. Extra things can be added and what not to add to the scenes but overall I think this would be so much better.

A lot of people have the opinion settling for stopping aku in the future and forgetting the past would be a better ending.
And I not only agree with them for reasons to he mentioned about it being a lesson about trying to undo your mistakes and instead trying to strive for a better future.
But also stopping aku in the past would undo a lot of work he did in the future.
The minions of set weren’t tied to aku and they nearly killed him.
Then there’s that ghost in the mansion.
The wish granting fairy imprisoned by the gargoyle
The samoorai would never meet him and learn humility.
    The list goes on.
None of those events were tied to aku and changing the past would reset all jack accomplished.

One thing I think Aku of the past should of done prior to his attack on Jack's homeland, when Jack was a small boy or during the preiod before he meets Jack, put parts of him into women who worthship him as a god to create children similar to Ashi and her siblings, who are brainwashed into doing Aku's bidding and they become groverners of various regions of the world in the name of Aku, so, when Jack has defeated Aku, he still has a legacy of evil that cannot be undone so easily and prehaps Jack is also cursed with immortalty due to his time travel adventures and would live in the post Aku world, while trying to do good in this new timeline!
