- In this edited video, I played the complete game and recorded all important scenes from Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time on PS4 and Switch and removed all the loading times to create a smooth, new and unique narrative with re-ordered scenes. A moment of appreciation on how well this show shifted over to 3D.
yeah great combat to ive heard fans says its like dmc although ive never played that series i still wonder if this could get dlc
If this gets a real life adaptation I wonder if keanu reeves will get to play jack without the sword
the very obvious mocap in the cutscenes makes it a bit off-putting, it strays away from the otherwise cartoony nature of the characters. But other than that, that's really the only gripe I have about this game
@@jme7046 i HATE mocap so much when its used on cartoon/anime games, it looks fucking terrible and off putting but they insist on abusing it just because its easier than actually putting effort on animations
It’s like a director’s cut of the series finale.

This was Heavenly budgeted but the more important thing is this was clearly a passion project just from the cutscenes alone the people who did this went all out on everything they could.

And the show is created by the creator of Dexter’s Laboratory another classic cartoon

Actually the secret ending doesn't work for what Samurai Jack was going for. The original ending was better and more fitting.

@@Miant It was quite sad, certainly not preferable, but that was what the cartoon had always been about: the journey. Jack was always focused on his destination, and everything he gained was to get him there and for the benefit of those around him. It was bittersweet in the fact that he was never allowed any personal reward as he pursued his goal, and the show ended on the same note. Whether it was fair or not, it was consistent. Rectitude, the objective form of altruism, is the founding principle of Bushido, the way of the samurai.

@@patriousthefallenknight3185 Apparently samurai jack was 8 when Aku appeared and 25 in the first season, so that would be 13 years his dad was in the mines. I think his appearance came from extreme malnourishment and hard living, but yeah even after rehab he shouldn't have looked that well.

Having just played Scarlet Nexus, I was just thinking that there could have been a 2nd viewpoint campaign with Ashi desperately trying to find Jack.
Could have been a cool way to mix in Oni powers for the player while having Ashi interact with Jack's allies like Scotsman and having some drama with matches with her sisters, a rematch with her mother, and maybe even a fight against EvilJack.
Oh well. Still a surprisingly good game.
Just realized the way Ashi goes against Aku is basically Jotaro and DIO's battle.
"Ashi, you have Aku's power!" = "So it's the same type as Star Platinum."

For some reason the final cutscenes for me is glitched. The scene where Jack returns to the past and defeats Aku, I mean.

I'm never mad about the ending to the series though, my only problem is the final battle with aku. And about ashi and hes friends all gone, at least jack found peace in the end. And that's all I ever wanted for jack. Everyone is now a stranger in this world, but in the end he found peace. It would have been nice if this game showed jack being at peace, I would have been happy for him. He may not have ashi or hes friends, but at least he has peace.
There is an alternate ending if you get all the collectibles but they didn't include it for some reason

da samurai can be a pretty funny character. I'm glad they picked him for their team. Besides, his muscles probably aren't fake in this game.
Scaramouche sorta reminds me of Apoo from One Piece and the story plot of time travelling from past to future with Aku & all feels similar like the current Wano arc. Could of Oda have taken inspiration from Samurai Jack?🤓

Why didn't jack rotate his sword 120 degrees away from her and horizontally? He could've saved a life just by doing that, but he looked shocked that Aku shoved her to jack, still at his attacking position. This Timeless version of Ashi would immediately know that she was lied to from her entire life. At least, she would be grateful. Also, How does she know what a ladybug meant?
