Something I missed is that Blake is still defending and explaining why she does what she does around the 4:00 mark, where Adam’s thoughts and motivations seem to be lost to pure and violent instrumental, which shows he was long gone even before Blake left.
i love how the truth of each character is still consistent to each even despite the split later.

This song somehow slipped my mind and hadn’t thought about it in a couple years. But hearing a little part of it in another video made me remember how much I enjoyed it and that it was Blake’s theme.

Indeed, frankly, the entire story is done dirty to me. So much potential wasted.
True but i think they're doing what Monty said about like "looks first story second" but the thing is only the graphics have went up but all the cool scenes have stayed in volume 1-3. The coolest part that's happened for me since Monty and Shane stopped working on it with the other animatoes is Tyrian vs Qrow when Tyrian blocks Nora and Ren's hit and counters it. It's been so long and they haven't found their own style and it's sad to see this, they sometimes have good ideas but they never look cool since it's 3d, really. 3d anime is hard to pull off cause 3d doesn't really look that cool unless you're good at what you're doing and RT def isn't in my op
@@JaySki2222 Rooster Teeth's forte was comedy, just look at Red vs Blue, but they are lacking in serious writing. I agree with on the Monty part that RWBY was made for the awesome fights and animation front and center over story. However even with that as a focus it still has insane potential that's being wasted. I'm currently starting a remake writing project that perseveres all the essential aspects of what makes it RWBY but improving on the story, characters and the structure that are already in place

I also don't like how the weaken other characters to make the main characters look stronger like Mercury and Tyrian, RWBY vs Em and Merc (Hazel was the one hyped up there too, him catching JNR on dumb shit) etc
If i was RT I would give the mfs working on RWBY a long break where they learn their own styles, think about how much they messed up and what they did good and try to make that show better
I gotta give em props for v7, it did look kinda better and Ironwood was a very realistic and sympathetic character (tbfh i was rooting for him) that's where we saw how unlike-able RWBY was though tbh like they were entitled, always thought they were right etc and (tbh we do see that kinda in v8 also but the writing fell there, we also see it in other volumes but due to other characters being much more understandable, last time it was really Jacques being understandably mad at Weiss for assaulting an innocent patron even though he is an asshole he was right) honestly though I do feel like RWBY can't be fixed unless they delete like V5-V8, even if I believe v4 was poo and it still made Ruby look like an ass it was a good start for a group that lost what made the show good

I don't care for the show anymore but I'm not done with the story that Monty left us. I want to do my best to make this story better then it ever was

I’m not sure of what the other person’s point was, but it’s not about her being a faunus, it’s about her personality. Her guilt for her past actions and need to redeem herself are closer to the Beast’s story than to Belle’s. She hides who she is, a faunus, just as the Beast hides himself. They are both scared of being known, and their arcs are about letting other people in. This duality is what makes her interesting. Stop thinking strictly in binaries. Art is more nuanced than that.

I feel like people who hate on rwby haven’t listened to the music it brings so much more to the show and story as a whole
this shit hits so different. i hate what they did to adam, and i hate being called a stan just for having that opinion. he has a very painful and personal relationship with the discrimination of his people, and we know that because of the branding on his eye. we don't get to know his full back story, but we know enough to know why he's so determined to fight against humanity and so ruthless in his ways. he has a solid reason to go on that war path, and while it's not entirely right, it's not entirely wrong either. it's a very nuanced situation that shouldn't have ended the way it did. but since adam was an antagonist to our heros, RT thought that meant he had to be a villain, even though those two aren't always the same thing. and since he had to be a villain, they thought they had to make him unlikeable, so they forced an abuser status onto him since we're not allowed to have mixed feelings about our antagonists. they also just wrote racism out of the story entirely to make it seem like adam's pain was trivial and his ways were unfounded, which is just a terrible way to handle that theme

Adam Taurus had *sooo* much potential but he got wasted due to poor writing...
He could've been redeemed. Could've become an anti-hero at least.
But nope. After Monty's death and before Volume 3 came out, writers said, "Hey! Let's make Adam known as an abusive ex-boyfriend who can't control his emotions and a crappy leader who's willing to kill his own people if they refused to side with him."
If I recall, Adam Taurus was suppose to be a former mentor and friend to Blake. He was the character who fought for his people. He wanted equality and peace. Yes, he was becoming corrupted. I know that. He didn't care about killing innocent people and was ruthless. He was angry and full of hate but a character like that is also suffering deep down and can be helped. His views could've been changed. He still had the potential to change. Could've changed. If only his character was taken care of better...

Blake used to believe the same things Adam did, so that was intentional. However, she eventually rejected his way of thinking, hence the intensity of the song fading away at the end.

After rewatching this video, I noticed something. The first verse highlights the difference between Blake and Adam (it's a thin line, but there is a difference), but the second verse shows how Blake is drawn into Adam's White Fang. At least, at the start of the series. It's the little details like these that make me miss Monty all the more. He had a vision and "I sold my soul" RT ruined that vision. Hopefully the Japanese studio retelling RWBY does a better job. I'm skeptical, but then again why do we as a species have "hope"?

Adam was.....he was definitely a diamond in the rough as a character. The greatest heroes and villains are all created from the same kind of tragedy, but it's one slight difference that separates the heroes from the villains, therefore the fine line between a hero and a villain are as thin as the line between madness and genius. One seeks to inflict pain unto those who wronged them in a quest for revenge become the villains, those who seek to prevent what happened to them from happening to others become the heroes.
Unfortunately, due to the self-fulfilling prophecy because of that one part of their ideology; "Since they treat us like monsters, then let us become monsters" and as a result, they become no different than the villains who wronged them in the first place. You just end up creating another damn villain over and over again. This is why I despise people who hate Adam. He's one of the more salvageable villains in existence with great complexity and depth.
I also see a great similarity to this situation with our current politics. The liberals demonize the conservatives, the left demonizes the right, and every choice and action the opposition makes are no longer required to be understood because after you demonize someone, the reasons for their choice and action is because they are evil and nothing more. It's certainly simpler that way, isn't it? But the real world doesn't work that way because the enemy is also fighting for what they believe is right and no conflict or war has started where one side knew it was wrong!
This also brings us back to the motto of RWBY: "Strength will not bring victory." How then do you think they will defeat something unkillable like Salem? Do you Adam-haters really believe that killing Adam will end this endless cycle of hate? No. All your hate for Adam does is generate more hate and retaliation. You are only feeding the fire. The power of friendship and lesbian certainly won't do a damn thing here to erase the hatred and darkness that exists in these villains. Monty's work is meant to show you that there is another way, but this way requires you to empathize with the ones you hate and understand them, but not many of you are willing to do that and not many of you seem to understand that. So now that they've killed off Adam to cater to the SJW audience, I'm done with this series.
There is nothing you can learn or take away from RWBY. If only Monty was still here....

It makes reading fanfics from written very early on in the show's history quite amusing with how often they make Blake as an orphan or just random street kid who never knew who her parents were. When Blake is the only member of team RWBY with basically the closest thing to an average, normal family life (I mean, Yang and Ruby also kind of have that when Summer was still around...but they don't really count, since Summer died/disappeared when they were young, sooo...).

No doubt one of my favorites, along with Like Morning Follows Night. They both sound really hype and are about my favorite character.
it might just be my imagination but this symbolize's Blake and Adam's relationship in the early seasons perfectly
Blake starts out more from an angry but held back tone singing about taking back her people's lost rights
but as Adam's lyrics take over her's become more aggressive by the verse up until the remorse of the last minute or so with no lyrics
again might just be me thinking way too much about it but i think it fits
Wait does Adam actually love her or is it just as a family or friend kind? cause he always refers to Blake has 'love' but then he is always trying to kill her...but....I LOVE THE SONG!!!!!
Tanya youkhana from my knowledge Adam and Blake were in the white fang together assuming they were lovers or at least very close. As seen in Black Trailer, she left him and the white fang. Adam being very pissed at that, and just being evil overall he wants to kill humanity.

I really like how RT made a comparison to Beauty and the Beast. In Beauty and the Beast, all of the good characters wear blue and all the evil characters wear red, and Adam wears red and has red hair showing him as a villain using some of the original mechanics from beauty and the beast.
"Call us liars, degenerates and killers, psychos, heartless" Well the shoe certainly does fit Adam

For all seriousness, I think that this was before Adam snapped, in the Black Trailer and the Adam Short, you could tell that even if he was a bad guy, he still cared about the other members, and Blake especially, I think that he became heartless the more he killed and after Blake left.
