    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the key part to the pulley is how it is fished. No ping allowing it downtide, it needs the grip weight and to be fished slightly uptide.

    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is more detail in the latest films I put together “beach fishing setup” but in brief they are 14’ AFAW 6&B mk2’s for multipliers. The reels are the Penn fathom 2 casting specials and line is from ASSO. Ultra-cast mainline (20lb) and tapered shock leader which is 18-70lb. All set up to fish 5’ rigs.

    I’m trying to get a stingray off my bucket list,failing miserably over the other side of the water to you. Very envious you caught,only thing I would say is perhaps use a wet cloth to keep it covered with 🐟🎣

    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did consider a wet cloth but the dry one gripped and stayed in place. I did pour water over and in the sphericals to keep the ray damp. I did walk out in chest waders to see where the clay patches were and they were only 30-40 yards out.

    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A wet towel wrapped or draped over the tail is a good starting point. If you don’t have a sling keep them close to the waters edge. They are fragile with a mucus covering, keep them wet and handling to a minimum. Their mouths are small so a selection of unhooking tools is always worth while.

    Another great video Mark. May I ask where do you park your vehicle when you fish Warsash?

    • @seaangling
      @seaangling  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are 2 places depending on where you chose to fish. The approach into Hook park or the end of Cowes lane. You then walk either path to the shore.
