Forever grateful to the YT algorithm for recommending me your channel, love the production and the "garage build" vibes
same
Thank you
@@wheelemverb super binge-able content! now we only need playlists to make binging easier.
Same! Never heard of wheelemverb and never looked up anything close to Volvo but here we are, really enjoying the content.
I'm not even a Volvo owner (GTI) but saw this on a recommended; Two months later i keep binge watching this channel. Good stuff man.
As a Volvo mechanic living in rustbelt Belgium, my jaw dropped when those outer tie rods immediately fell out upon removing the nut. and the subframe bushings with a little whack with a hammer :o
And the axles being able to be pushed out with a finger😂
That is not typical. Soutgern Cal has very little rust
I will never take cali cars for granted.
That would never happen in Sweden without a help of the big fat hammer. 😂🙈
or hear or grinder at the end :D @@realvolvofreak
I've worked in an auto parts warehouse. The subframes are pretty heavy. It's great to see you work on this car. It makes me want to find a old Volvo Sedan. I just don't know if I could do a station wagon. Keep up the good work. I love your videos.
This makes me miss my C30 so much. All the weekends i spent wrenching on that car just hits me when i watch this channel.
Those wheels look amazing on that car. And dang I really want a v70 now lol. Used to have a 94 850R
Great stuff! I really like way you film everything. It's at home 'DIY' but also very professional and sharp.
You deserve more subs the production value is already there ! I just moved from SoCal I wish I was back there to hangout .
This is the ONLY channel i am happy to see upload this relatable content and actual indepth view
You should make a public playlist with all of the background music. Great taste
Love the work you put into this car. I was never really into Volvos, but now knowing how much you can do to one and the fun you can get out of it I'm starting to appreciate them more. I just found out about you thanks to the algorithm and went through all of your videos. You won yourself a subscriber. Keep up the good work.
Have done the exact same suspension overhaul to my R two years back, what a difference it made! The only thing that exceeds that excitement is the manual swap 🙂. I did it while overhauling the front suspension, you'll be thrilled after the swap. Looking forward to the m66 swap in future videos!!!
She looks great in her home element... snow!
So glad that TH-cam recommended your account to me. Absolutely in love with the content.
Another excellent video on the R. Thank you so much. First I was sceptic about the BBS rims, but man, they fit perfectly.
Those wheels look amazing on that car)))
Great video!!! I hope you enjoy those subframe bushings for the years to come 😊
Hitting the like before watching, love these V70 videos! Nice editing style and great to see appreciation for these sleek wagons overseas. Keep up the good work, greetings from Finland!
Thank the yt gods for you popping into my recommended one day, love it sm
I remember when I had my first brand new Volvo 850 T5-R back in 1996. Nice work buddy.
I've never seen any bushing come out that easy before. That was a blessing lol
Something fishy there
Loved those wheels.. Had the set on my S40 R... cleannnnest look. nice WORK!
10 for work and production. Now i need to change de bushings of my subframe 😁😁
Great work man! You're almost a Swede now! 😊👍
Dude! Your channel is blowing up! keep up the great content
So glad I found your Volvo channel. I’d see glimpses of it on the other channel but this car is what I’m really interested in lol. Even cooler you actually do the work yourself. How are the new delrin bushings? I want them in my 850r
Sometimes a good sound track is all you need to keep you engaged. You just gained a subscriber.
Dude I'm not even a Volvo guy and I love watching your videos.
Love your content. I wish I had the time, space & tools to do this to my 2007 Volvo S60. The steering at the moment feels exactly how you described it before you swapped all those parts but its normal I guess after 280k kms (170k miles). Unfortunately I will have to live with it for the time being. Keep up the good work tho!
Excessive grease around sway bar bushings will attract dirt and render bushings prematurely.
I haven't seen the other videos, yet but have you done shocks and springs? The Monroe on the dampener makes me think these are not performance oriented ones. No bigger impact on handling than springs and shocks. Great stuff!
Great video man quite enjoyable. In Sweden a V70 is one of the least exiting things ever but now looking at your videos I almost wish I had one. Perhaps you could die those leather seats I keep looking at them at every episode 😅
I am absolutely stoked about your knowledge, amazes me every time. Keep going love it!!
Dude your channel is a blessing from above. Keep it all up. Btw my S60R is getting new injectors because Cylinder No2 is running rich. Yay love the car but oml the bastard needs some love.
Been waiting for your video! I always enjoy them
Considering doing this to my Chevy Cobalt this or next summer. Its my back-up car, but getting it cushy again (as cushy as a Cobalt can be anyway) seems like it'd be a fun project
Great upgrade, the Nebulas look great and gives the car a bit more stance.
I have 15mm spacers with 19” Heico rims on the R and no rubbing on the wheel arches. 15mm is on the tipping point of good taste…
Awesome wagon, I usually do the crest as well. Have you tried little big Tujunga canyon road? Roads there are very narrow and can test the cars handling. I usually go at night since I can see the other cars headlights and less traffic.
First time I’ve ever seen where you don’t need a 20T press for bushings (I live in the south where they throw way too much salt)
Great to hear some new music on this episode! Great vid as usual man!
I look forward to these man ty🤝
Great vid, Keep it going, could you please sort the front bumper.
Great video, but I’m confused why you don’t turn the caliper out towards you to make it easier to work on.
Graaaaan video....muchas gracias por compartirlo...un saludote desde España.
Loving the series!
Loving this as I am a Big Volvo and V70R guy.
However, my question is about your taste in music. Please tell me about the band/group you feature! That flavour and groove is so to my taste!
Who are they?
Noce. Getting me inspired to start working on mine
This video makes me miss my manual 04 S60R :(
Is it only me who's looking forward to seeing the new paint job?
Yeah dude! Great work. Keep it coming.
Love seeing a new ep on the R, keep it up!!
I’m a Volvo guy and I love the stock wheels ( Pegasus)
Thanks for sharing anyways
Nice looking car ...try some Clyde's Leather dye and conditioner to fill in the cracks in your seats
Me when WheelemVerb uploads a new video 12:24
love series, makes me wanna get one. But can we please paint that front bumper?
Enough bolt thread with 15mm spacers? Seems like you would be on the edge. Something to look into.
Super excited for this one !!!
I like your videos on fixing cars.
Looks so good with those wheels
5 spokes are better imo. love the rest man keep it up!!
Great video, I absolutely love your channel! Looking forward to when you get new tyres on her. Greetings from 🇬🇧 👌 😎
Just got back from my garage, Cleaning my front subframe for my C6 A6. Started scrubbing and ... well i think i need to pressure wash that grime. Also, is that alu subframe? Mine is steel so bought some anti rust stuff with new coat of paint, should do the trick. Also im installing strongflex bushes in mine.
Great job man! Love ur videos!
we made bushings from turned hockey pucks
I love a good parts cannon. 🙂
Why did the algo have to add your channel in my feed? Now I have to add V70R to the top of my fun wrenching project list. Apologies to the k-swapped Fit idea, pushed to the bottom of the list.
Next time lay out the parts, not the boxes, much more visually nice and interesting. Good work!
Ive eagle f1 tyres on my MK2 v70 D5 and they are amazing in the dry and wet. Have a look at a channel called tyre review
Give some bloody cleaning of that rims for that poor girl and polish that lenses !😆
Good job done.
I wouldn’t want to do that job on Jack stands on the garage floor. Why not change the shocks to Bilstein performance shocks at this time? Those Delrin bushings are great on a track car but you’re going to get a bunch more noise and harshness in your ride.
Probably wants to retain the 4C functionality.
Better change the shocks to, i saw monroe..
my parents v70 has that wobbling at lower speeds 🤔 know that the old tires were very unevenly worn perhaps the "new" ones have become the same.
11:15 Naahhhh.... Im not sure what to think of that..... Mean while Im over here with a blow torch having to melt mine, and sawzall the outer metal ring.
When you doing a manual swap. Only thing this car is missing is a spaceball
Mandame esos rines a Venezuela por liberty los originales para un proyecto saludos desde ccs que bellos
You shouldve bought Khan concave STW5
The tire issue could be resolved after putting them thru few heat cycles perhaps? Just a thought!
always nice music 👍
Great job
Gran trabajo 👌
Have you had any problems with your central locking after replacing your central mirror inside the car?
Fantastic videos Willem! An often forgotten item in the cars handling is.... your own driving position. It seems to me your arms are a little bit too stretched and your back is too far ....uh back🙂just put your seat as far down as possible and pull the steering wheel towards you to have the best contact with you car. As a long dude myself I was also sitting too far away from my steeering wheel, aching my back and shoulders. But I feel much more connected too the car after seeing this video of this lovely guy in Germany: th-cam.com/video/-Et-K8ilt08/w-d-xo.html
Good luck with your channel, love it!!
Yeaa... Another one just in time for me to eat!!
Are you going to strengthen this unfortunate thin cylinder liner?
Sick wheels!
Congratulations
How much was the parts ?
Again a nice video
感恩了解,謝謝分享!
Whats your opinion on a vw golf 2 as a first car and first project car?
no grease on them pads?! tisk tisk..
For the job this is you would think it would be easier to change the intake manifold :|
Keep it up!
Do you really need to put loctite on all those bolts?
The hair 💀
Bro, what was the budget for all there parts?
nice
👍
the absolute shock when you just casually smaked the bushings out and they weren’t cemented to the subframe, excellent work i might do this myself
I was so jealous, usually there is a lot more fire and swear words when I am doing bushings lol
I think it might be that the rubber doesn't bond itself to aluminium as much as it does steel. Also those bushes didn't have a steel shell which definitely helps.
I thought I was going to have to take a drill to them from everything ive seen online so my jaw hit the floor when they just dropped out with a hammer tap
Exactly my kind of YT content. Real guy in his garage with an attainable car. Also the production value is far beyond a channel of this size. Great job as always.
Thank you
The way you work on these P2s makes me so happy, they aren't that bad to work on if you know what youre doing and your channel helps us all - many thanks 😀
Once you get your head around some of the quirks I actually think they’re quite nice to work on.
They're really good to work on compared to most other European cars too.
Fastest IG to YT swap ever
