For all our protests and strategising, we forgot about attrition. It wasn't armoured cars or police storming into PolyU that brought down the protest, it was a long siege that reduced the morale of the protesters.

I tell you I've been to HK during October/November 2019 which was said to be one of the peak protest months and I haven't seen any riots(although at tsim sha tsui and and tsuen wan had alot of road vandalism) and Mongkok station was closed due to protest so we didn't have a chance to visit, overall HK is extremely safe I'd rather be in HK than in USA Also the airport was relatively peaceful, It was just like any typical day no riots or what I can't really assume you're truly safe though, I went there at weekdays so assuming that peak protest is at weekends

They just get records and go home. That's why they can keep doing this no goes to prison based on these issues. Many of them have like 5-10 occurrence already it's been over a year.

Would be interesting to know as well. They probably found the best hiding spot in the building and bunkered up with food, stayed for a bit and went out when coast was clear. Would be interesting to know as well. They probably found the best hiding spot in the building and bunkered up with food, stayed for a bit and went out when coast was clear. If they switched from protesting gear to civilian clothes they probably could even distinguish themselves as cleanup crew.
