Don't cast your pearls before swine. If you do, the pigs will trample the pearls with their little pigs' feet, and then they will turn back and attack you..... basically meaning folks that don't support my channel by giving the thumbs-up or donating etc, they are swine... honestly, I teach gods system everyday on the water as a fishing instructor, so TH-cam isn't a priority for me. Take my 85 and 86 year old parents to church every Sunday but they weren’t feeling up for it today and we opened TH-cam to find our Church’s live stream and this video popped up as a suggestion. And my dad loved crappie fishing so we had to check it out. So we got some great fishing tips AND some “church” at the same time. Even mom liked it!

I’m gonna comment on the quality of those jigs. I feel like a lot of companies make them cheap so they tear up fast and you got to buy more. 100 fish in a single jig is pretty darn good and saves money

Great theory, I found that when choosing jig colors if you look for the bait fish in the water and replicate that color, it does really well

This is an awesome tip and it makes sense. Another good one is fishing 45 minutes before and after moonrise and moonset(especially on days when the moon is fuller). Every day during these 2 90 minute windows when fish behave erratically and bite more.

In minnesota we put weights on Christmas trees on ice.when it thaws the trees drop.you come back to those later and catch fish.some just turn upside down and push it in the ice hole.Just found this channel.good job guy who ever you are.

I learned about fishing in my late 20's from my wife's granddad. I could have the same line,the same hook,the same little bitty split shot & fish within 6" of the man,he'd catch fish & I wouldn't!
I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT!
The old man ALWAYS,ALWAYS, said
fish a spot five to ten minutes,IF you haven't got a fish or good bite,MOVE!
"IF YOU GONNA CATCH EM,YA GONNA HAFTA FIND EM"!!
That old man had a 5gal bucket & A 1/2 milk or juice jug of frozen water. We'd put one 1/2 gal. jug in the bucket with about no more than 6" of water.
and put the fish in it while we were on the banks.
Back at the truck,there was always A 24 gal. cooler,with another 1/2 gal. jug in it. when we'd leave the lake,we'd put
the fish water and ice jug in it.
EVERY TIME,EVERY TIME,we got home and got everything put away and got ready to start dressing those fish, EVERY fish was still LIVELY,except the ones that might have swallowed a hook or whatever.
When accepting fish or going to a fish fry,its a good idea to know how the fish were handled.
I went to a lake with a friend,long ago. We caught maybe 30 nice bluegill. As we're leaving the lake,he noticed he forgot his cooler,we fished from his boat that day. Instead of putting the fish in a bucket( he was worried about it getting turned over,he decided to just leave them in the basket,in the boat. He lived about45 minutes from the lake.
By the time we got to his house,EVERY fish was dead,(MOON EYED)
dead as 4 o'clock,not a bit of moisture, anywhere. You could've handled those fish with rice paper and not bothered the paper AT ALL..
As we began to fillet them ,the meat was pulling apart and going to pieces. I told him to put them in a 3gal bucket of water & put them in his garage refrigerator for an hour or so,he did.,and I went home,I talked to him the next day,he said that collecting them had gone better after retrieve dating the fish.
Maybe the OLD MAN,just ruined me.
TOO MANY people ruin k that having a lake in front of you,and a boom box blasting,with a case of beer or a "script" for "herbal" medication IS fishing.There isNOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, BUT THATS NOT FISHING,THATS HAVING A "GOOD TIME" AROUND FISHING.LOLOL!

Good tip with the cup. I crank up the gain on my graph and it will show the thermocline as a shadowy line. That is where I start looking for fish on those hot summer days...

I use that same setup in my fishing and one day i caught 3 nice bass. I went and tried different things and havent been as lucky, so im going back to my tried and true method (what worked that one day. LOL). I'm so new to fishing.

Whenever I go to prayer and I've got my mind set to quiet and listen for the answer.
(I am a student. I've got a lot to learn)
Sometimes it's a song or a Bible verse. Maybe a stranger that I meet in public but many times since 2020 the man upstairs has used this TH-cam algorithm to prepare me and arm me for the most difficult season of my life.
