I'm behind but looking forward to catching up over this weekend. Great to see you realizing this dream after four years of delays. I've taken a lot of notes: navigator veranda; become a magnet person; get tipsy for muster drill ;); sail-away drink on the veranda / room service; merch "rope drop" - would never have thought about this; cruise ducks; blanket is a good investment for Alaska. :) Always love the #debrief.
Yay! We hope you enjoy watching them all! 😊 We are so glad that we can share highlights of this trip with everyone. It's been a long several years of cancelled trips, but we are so glad we finally got to go! Love all the notes that you're taking from our video! And more yay for the #debrief love! 😍
It was SO cozy! We especially loved sitting out there on our glacier day, but we spent so much time on it on this sailing! Glad you enjoyed our embarkation vlog! 😍
You’re finally on the ship! And holy cow Moana just strolling by?? How cool! The sail away for Alaska is THE best. Love the navigators veranda, we’ve never had that but it looks so nice so might have to look for that on future sailings. People real become unhinged when the gift shops open. We collect the blankets and they’re soooo nice. We felt the same way about Tiana’s and the menu being so so but the atmosphere and drinks made up for it. Really enjoyed seeing your Day 1 and can’t wait for the rest of the series!
It feels like we've been talking about going on this cruise for forever! And, it finally happened! We love the smaller ships and so many random characters, especially on deck 4. Totally random Moana with just us around was so fun! We highly recommend the Navigator's Verandahs on the Magic and Wonder after this sailing. It was the best for Alaska! Omigosh, ya'll...the shopping on day 1 was no joke. Brandon had it accurately described when he called it both Lord of the Flies and Mad Max in Mickey's Mainsail. 🤣 The crazy part is that after night one every single item was still available daily. We learned a lesson with that! The blanket was So cozy! Tiana's was amazing and stay tuned for our Mardis Gras night there in which Brandon purchases a light up Ray the Firefly for his drink. 😜 Can't wait to share more vlogs soon!
@@glutenfreedairyfreedisney good to know!! Sometimes we think they create the merch hype on purpose 😝 I forgot about Mardi Gras night!! Can’t wait. Will bust out my own Ray light up clip to watch too 😂
Hi Sarah! This is Kathy from Special Mouse. I am THRILLED to follow along with your Alaskan cruise adventure! 🎉 I’m looking forward to experiencing the same cruise in a very short time, so I’m paying close attention to your Pro Tips!
Omigoodness! Great to hear from you! We hope you and your family are well! How exciting for you to be heading to Alaska soon. We hope you have the best time, and definitely reach out if we can help with any questions we don't cover in the videos! 😀
I’m excited to see all the food you eat! I’m also interested to hear how the colder weather is for you. I hate the cold weather so Alaska is out of the question for me… hoping you enjoy every moment of this special cruise for you!
Yay! We're excited to show all the great food too! Though we had some chilly weather on this cruise, it was actually fairly warm and sunny a lot of the cruise! We wore a lot of layers and some days got really warm -- even for us Floridians who are used to high temps and humidity. It was a fantastic cruise, and we can't wait to show highlights. So many core memories made on this trip! 😍
I like the navigator veranda it looked so cool! Cheers!🥂When I was on the WBPC cruise I was at the French Quarter Lounge everyday! I liked the Cadillac Lounge too but for happy hour it was always so loud. Love the GF cheese plate! #debrief 😊❤ Thank you both for a great embarkation day vlog!
Yay! We're so glad we could share highlights from embarkation. French Quarter Lounge is SO good! We were there a lot, especially for the pre-late dinner live music. There was an amazing duo there singing songs from the 1930s & 1940s (along with some Disney favorites). Cadillac Lounge was amazing, but we agree that it definitely got loud (and very busy!). We highly recommend the navigator's verandah. We were out on ours so much! Can't wait to share more highlights from the trip. We have some pretty epic stuff to show in future vlogs!😍
Absolutely love the promenade deck on the Alaska cruise. We spent hours there just chillaxin. Also love the Navigator balcony but wish we could have seen out without standing up.
So many amazing views! And yes to all the #chillaxing there! That's a good point on the navigator's verandah. The pro is you get some protection from the elements and all the nice nooks for your stuff but the con is that you definitely can't see much if you're sitting down.
Hi, Sarah! My husband and I will be sailing on the Wonder in early September. Thank you for all the tips and tricks. We wanted to know, did you need Canadian dollars for restaurants or tipping at the hotel?
Yay! We hope you have the best time! Good question about Canadian currency. We did have $130 in Canadian dollars with us on the trip for restaurants, tipping, and also the cabs (many prefer cash over using card). The amount worked well for us on the trip. We do know that you can tip U.S. dollars, but we decided to get Canadian currency, because someone from Vancouver in our cruise group recommended it. Hope that helps!
They did! It used to be Parrot Cay on the Wonder, and they updated it to Tiana's Place in 2016 during a dry dock. We really enjoyed Tiana's a lot -- the live music was fantastic! 😍
Great question! Our travel agent put an anniversary note on our reservation, so we had them in the room when we arrived, but we know from past cruises that if you stop by Guest Services, they have them too! Congratulations and hope your honeymoon to Alaska is magical! 😊
We are going on our d Disney cruise next week arriving in Vanciouver on July 1 and setting sail on July 3 we have been watching your disney videos on alaska and we love it you have done agreat job and very informational thank you. Is there an email to directly contact you with some questions.

@@glutenfreedairyfreedisney You did mention doing a review video with clips on your whole trip with things you dont need or do need. You did an excellent job on your videos.
@@eric26delta Yes, we will be putting that video out soon! We have one more excursion video coming out and then our wrap-up video! Thank you! We're really glad you enjoyed them! 😊
Great question and sorry we didn't elaborate more in the video! We both felt that the restaurant was a soft recommend for a few reasons -- the food itself was just OK (and pretty mediocre) minus the Dutch pancake and bacon which were both really good. It was also a very busy spot, so we wouldn't recommend it for those looking for something low-key (less loud, etc.). We both agree that if you don't have food allergies or are gluten free that it might be a better option than for those of us who have special dietary considerations. That being said, it was pretty popular, so the proximity of it to Canada Place and the options may make it a great option for many in the area. For us with all of those factors, it was just a soft recommend. I hope that helps!
@@glutenfreedairyfreedisney Thank you! We are staying at the PanPacific and don't have a port time until noon also...looking for a breakfast place (since that is my husband's favorite meal on vacation) and saw Dutch. The menu looked okay, although I am intrigued by the Dutch Pancake....not sure past that. Thank you for your honesty.
@@tsr3779 Glad we could share some additional info for you! The Dutch pancakes were great, so we would recommend if you're mostly planning on those. The rest of the food was just OK. Hope you have a wonderful trip!
