Ha! Gotta love an unexpected shoutout! 🤣We loved watching your Alaska cruise vlogs last year and got so much great info from them for our trip! We actually hiked to Yakutania Point in Skagway after seeing the epic views from your video. It didn't disappoint! Thanks for following along with our vlogs, and we can't wait to see the ones from your trip! Hope you and Koda have the best time! 😍
We're so glad we could share the highlights! We wish we would have had more time in Vancouver -- so many amazing restaurants and 100% GF bakeries but not enough time to visit them!
It was so fun to be back in Canada! It had been quite a few years for both of us, and my (Sarah) first visit to British Columbia and Vancouver. It was lovely, and we hope to go back again! 😊
Vancouver had some amazing food options! We also love to explore food places and more local options when we travel -- especially if we can find 100% gluten free places! That's awesome that you're also geocachers! It's so fun, and we love getting ones when we travel. We got one in every port except Skagway!
Your food at the Pourhouse looked delicious, but when I pulled up their menu online none of it was on the menu. Did you order specials of the day, or was the menu at the restaurant more extensive?
We ordered items both from the Happy Hour menu and the regular menu. The chips & dip were marked GF on the menu online. The burger was made GF by swapping the bun and omitting the special sauce. We recommend talking to your server or the manager about options. The manager at the Pourhouse is a fellow celiac and super knowledgeable. She's done a great job of making sure the restaurant has safe options and good protocols in place. They also have GF desserts if you ask too (that come from the Gluten Free Epicurean bakery!). There are definitely more options than what are listed on the website. Hope that helps & you get to enjoy the Pourhouse if you go! 😊
Another awesome video! Both restaurants food looked so good! That GF bun at the Pour house oh my! Sorry to hear about Brandon’s escalator issue, that’s scary! It’s been 23 years since I was in Vancouver it has really changed! I feel the same about embarkation lunch! The Fantasy is my favorite ship! Sailed on her last year to Puerto Rico & doing her again this year on Western Caribbean! Thanks for all you both do!
Thank you! We're so glad you enjoyed it. The food we had that day was SO good! The baked goods (including the bun I had at the Pourhouse) were all from the Gluten Free Epicurean bakery and so good! We can't wait to sail on the Fantasy and complete sailing on all the current DCL ships! It sounds like you had an awesome sailing last year and a great one planned for this year too! We can't wait to share more vlogs from this trip (glacier day, Skagway, and Juneau days are especially epic!),
Thank you, Inge! We're so glad you enjoyed it and can't wait to share more of our Alaska adventures. So excited for you to go there in 2024! It's amazing, and we know you'll love it as much as we did! 💜
#THEREITIS !!! SO glad y’all are finally on this trip. Vancouver is such a cool city and we’re glad you found so much GF options. That poutine looked amazing! We’re embarrassed we only tried the one at the aquarium 😅 But we’re really disappointed no whore houses were featured in this video.
Yay! We're SO glad this trip finally happened! We definitely wished we had more time in Vancouver and would plan to stay at least another extra day next time. Just not enough time! And, Brandon says any poutine is better than no poutine (even if it's not the "best" out there). And haha! Don't worry you two...you'll see plenty of houses of negotiable affection later in this cruise series in Skagway and Ketchikan! 🤣
@@dawnrusso3278 Oh gosh, so many places! We had planned to go to Nuba (Lebanese food) in Gastown which got rave reviews for GF options, but we ended up not being able to go just because of timing. We also didn't get to any of the GF bakeries -- Gluten Free Epicurean, Lemonade Gluten Free Bakery, and Panne Rizo Gluten Free Bakery. We were also interested in Iki Japanese Restaurant, but it was further out and closer to the airport (it's 100% GF). There were also a lot of other places in Vancouver that looked great too. We definitely need a visit back there again!
It was awesome! We've been to several 100% GF restaurants before across the U.S. too, and some of our favorites are in Portland and Seattle. 😍 We've had the GF vegan poutine at Le Cellier too. It's SO good! 🥔🇨🇦
I don't even have any allergies. But I started a diet earlier this week and haven't had real food for 5 days. You guys, this is food porn for me right now. #expo86
Definitely wasn’t expecting to hear my name when I clicked on this video 😅 great content guys! Can’t wait to follow along!

I grew up in Vancouver. Haven’t been back since my father passed away years ago. Looks like I should go back. Glad to see you in Canada!

So glad you're going to be sailing in 2024 too! 😍
"The joys of being in a 100% gluten free restaurant", THIS, soooooooo agree. I'm the exact same way
Omigosh, right?! You have to get all the amazing food in when it's 100% gluten free! 😍
#potatoesforlife!!! So happy you were finally able to go on this adventure! Can’t wait to follow along.
Always #potatoesforlife! 😍We're so excited to share highlights from the trip! There were so many amazing moments!
The food looked so good. I love exploring for food places when I travel. We are also geocachers and love the hunt.

Geocaching is awesome, great with the kids!
Oh my goshhhhhh, tiny Brandon with the robot mascot is fantastic. The height of 80s vibes and I’m here for it!
He was so little and so 80s dressed! We had to share it! 😍
Where did you get your cruisin' together shirts? Love those!
They were so fun to wear! Brandon surprised me with them & got them on Tee Public! 😊
That’s so nice, My husband said he’d wear them which was shocking! Of course I’ll have to be the buyer. 😂 thanks for the response!
@@lynnt.468 Oh love that! You definitely need to get them then! 😍

Brandon -- my wife and I both heard the same thing you heard when talking about the name of the restaurant where you went for dinner! lol
