Disney Wonder Alaska 2023 | Vow Renewal Cruise - Day 1 | Embarkation Day

- After exploring Vancouver and watching the Disney Wonder come into port, the four of us board the ship and set sail to Alaska. In this video, we explore everything the ship has to offer from kids' clubs to adult areas. We eat lunch at Cabana's (the buffet), get ice cream, tour our verandah stateroom, and then have a wonderful dinner at Tiana's. Enjoy!

I went on the Disney Wonder too in September 2005. 7:20 reminds me of when my cousin had ice cream on the cruise. I saw her have ice cream on the deck once just like you on the cruise. I also would have ice cream off the kids menu at Animator Pallet after dinner with my parents on the cruise back in the day. One night at the Animator pallet i got browine and vanilla ice cream from the kids menu which I shared with my parents because back then I did not eat gluten.
I did the Ocean club with my cousin because we were too young for the night clubs at the time. In fact my Cousin was barley old enough to the ocean club herself. Also back in the day the club was much smaller mainly because of the decorations and was pirate themed when I went before the club was remodeled. 9:07 The slide used to be a barrel slide and the platform was like a pirate ship and there was a net bridge kids would walk on. However I did not do this because I was afraid so I did a mini slide instead of the big slide. Then below the slide there was a small Captain Closet room where I played on the computers. I would play on the computer one night on the I told my parents don't interrupt my fun. I also did dress up in this room too and other girls would dress up as a disney princess in this room.I also asked a boy to take a toy down the slide with him. I also had good talk with a girl in the club one time while I was on the cruise.There was also a small stage back then for kids to sing songs in the club. Also the bathrooms in the club were smaller and the lights were dimmer especially at night and they had life saver floats as a decoration back than they are now on the cruise after the remodel happened. I also went to Castaway Cay too. Me and my cousins were next door to each other on the cruise. I went to the Ocean Lab once one the cruise. one time my cousin accidentally went to the boys room but lucky for me I found the girls one. One time I freaked out when a girl brought her brother into the bathroom and when my cousin when into the boys bathroom because Back then when I was younger I did not really understand that you do not have to be a certain gender to like certain things.Also the Lab was space theme when I went. The boys room in lab back in the day has blue and green for its wall color and the girls room was pink in color i do not remember too much about the ocean lab.

Which month did you take a cruise ship.
We are celebrating our ten year anniversary on the Wonder going to Alaska in September this year as well. I didn’t know that Disney has formal vow renewals though. What does that entail? I assume you pay for it? Also if you don’t do a vow renewal but put in your account that you’re celebrating an anniversary will Disney do anything specific?
Awesome, congrats! Yes, it’s a $3500 add on to the cruise. They only do them on sea days and the Wonder only does two per sailing. Not sure about if they would do anything if you add a note, maybe the servers would do something at dinner?
Did you see a lot of very small children on the cruise?? I have a 3 year & 5 month old. We have done the Bahamas & Mexico many times. Taking Baby on her 1st cruise on the wish in sept. We want to do something different next year. Thinking Alaska. We are orlando natives / locals with AP’s. Want to switch it up.
This is a great way to switch it up. Our kids are older so they were gone to their kids clubs most of the time we weren’t at dinner, shows or in port and we were in the adults areas. There weee definitely kids on board but I don’t think as many as a Caribbean sailing.

@@AddictedtotheMouse Cool! My wife and I were on the 5/29-6/5 sailing. Was our first cruise ever and we watched a lot of cruise vlogs prior to that and since. We already booked again for next April on the Wonder to Catalina and Ensenada. Enjoy your videos a lot! Also, if you don't mind me asking, what camera do you film with?
