As a 230lb big dog, 235 with protective riding gear, I give two thumbs up 👍👍 to my Nami Klima Max. I ride it 32 miles round trip on a hilly commute to/from work, and did a 45 mile Roundtrip to Cape May Lighthouse in south Jersey in D mode. Best big dog range for the dollar, plus light enough to lift single handed in a car or SUV. Climbs the steepest hills with ease.
For me at 240 lbs it's the Midnight RS! I replaced the shocks with Namis, handlebars, thumb throttle, and more. Best most smooth riding, longest range, and fastest scooter I've had!
330lb and I had a KQI3 Max for a year as a recreational suburban rider here in the Cleveland area. Put about 70 miles on it for the season before selling it. Topped out around 22mph for me, but most of my riding was in the 15mph range. Great set of features if you're looking for a quality commuter scooter that will stay on good pavement. Would love to see NIU make a dual motor version with a suspension.
@@firstinlastout nothing has "officially" replaced it yet, but the new Emove Cruiser V2 by Voro Motors will once they release their dual-motor variant and a seat accessory. That's probably the one that will check all the boxes for you. Will likely get two for my wife and I as we want to use them to explore state and national parks. That or we will go the e-bike route; I'd prefer the scooter but she's more open to the idea of an e-bike. Right now I found an open-box Amazon deal on the Caroma P7 that I use just for 10-15 minute rides with my dog in my neighborhood (dose of fun for me, dose of higher speed exercise for him). The scooter has a 750w motor (1200w peak), 14" tires, and a seat post built into the frame. So far it definitely seems like a decent option if you only need to worry about a few miles in each direction and are okay with practically zero "extra" features.

Both are amazing. Just depends what you value more. RS Midnight has more raw speed but the Apollo is definitely more packed with technology and has that buttery smooth regen thumb brake. For me 44mph is plenty! But you do you! :)

I would also recommend the road runner RX7 and Roadrunner D4+ 2.0 can be had for $999 on their website right now and it’s a 40 mph scooter that you will get over 30K miles if you maintain
I'm trying to find one that I can use as a quick get around vehicle while camping. It needs to be able to handle dirt roads and smooth trails. Be able to break down to fit in the small space I have in my vehicle. It would be nice if it were under $2K. And since the trend is for State parks and government campgrounds to say NO to Scooters, if it had peddles somewhere, I could convince them it was really a bike!! So what have you got?!? (I thought the Apollo ghost looked right, but they don't offer it anymore)
Hey looking for advice. I'm a 6'4" 300lb guy looking to get into the scooter game. After watching the videos on this channel I definitely want a dual motor design somewhere in the $k1-$2k range. At the moment looking at scooters that support 300+ I can't decide between Nanrobot N6 72v @ $1649, Solar P1 3.0 @ $1170 or Varla Eagle One v2.0 @ $1569. Is one of these much better than the others or do you have a better suggestion? Thanks!
Hi Ramier , I’m thinking of getting the Kaabo wolf warrior 11 pro but dropping that money ain’t easy. My biggest concern is, is it reliable ? I want it to last me a long time with no issues . Thanks .
I got the wolf GT pro and got almost 300 miles on it. I haven’t even been in 5th gear with it it’s crazy. Stock rear shock bushings suck and are already wearing out but you can buy $20 harder ones. I go over bolts every couple rides and have yet to see any loose screws. So far it’s been hella worth it. If it lasts at least 3-5 years of heavy use with basic maintenance, it’s definitely worth it.
I loved my Ninebot Max G2 and it’s been my favourite scooter so far and I’ve been looking for an upgrade, in terms of off road ability and performance but at the same time it’s good on the road too does anyone have recommendations?

I haven't seen much about these scooters or this brand, and would love to see some good reviews on them. I bought the circooter mate recently. Love it! But I weigh 260, and it cant pull me over a semi steep hill. Im probably asking too much from a $600 scooter.
Ramier is glossing over this, but from experience I can say, the heavier the rider, the more comfortable the scooter needs to be (i.e. suspension, deck space). The jarring from road imperfections feel worse for heavier bodies, especially critical joints. So, no sus is no go for an escooter supporting 250+ lbs riders. Also the weight impacts range. Theres a certain point where range impact may make the escooter impractical for the given use case. So, my rule of thumb is, subtract 50 lbs from payload capacity to ensure the range impact still keeps the ride practical.
Valuable comment right here thank you. I'm 240 out of the shower ya know, toss on riding gear and a 265lb capacity scooter is below my needed threshold. To truly support my weight and that thing called gravity I need 330 lb max capacity or higher. If you are a 300 lb dude your talking something like the roadster with 500 lb capacity. All that said you did a commendable job and gave me a couple more to look at.
