When I was 7 or 8 I had to get a shot and I was really anxious about it. By the time the nurse came in I was ready to jump out the window. The nurse said she could read my mind and had me concentrate on a number between 1 and 100. When she finally guessed she wasn't even close I opened my eyes, disappointed but then realized she had just done the best magic trick ever. She was putting the used syringe into the sharps container! She gave me a shot and I didn't even feel it! From then on I was no longer afraid of needles.
This is an awesome episode! Brian with his jokes and teachings, Josie with how far she has come as both a hostess and a magician, and Wayne with his great personality and his trick. A great job from everyone!

Yeah, exactly. Right away your like.. "Ok, there's a phone on the table" and then he takes the piece of paper and holds it right over the camera before giving it to Brian. We're getting too jaded man.

If the phone actually read what she wrote with a camera function or something, I'm even more impressed. Okay, so third idea was the right one. Impressive. Heh, if I saw he wrote down apple, I'd have searched Ipod or something like that. And then say, "You didn't say what type you were thinking of."

As part of the trick I made everyone put their phones on the table to “make sure no one was texting me answers” totally makes my phone being on table NOT suspicious!
I was so sure he used this phone when he gave her the marker. Then he said I can show the photo to someone else before you even say it caught me off guard
that was super good. i am inclined to agree on the 16/10 rating... learn to pass it completly casualy and Noone will even think of it being the method.....

Tip: You can use the volume button on your phone to start the video. That way it can be on the table waiting instead of you fiddling with it right before the trick.

When I saw him take it, I presumed he held it over a reflective surface. Then I saw his phone and presumed he held it over the screen to see the reflection. Then he picked it up and turned it over and I knew he used the camera.
I saw it done using a Walmart Store, but no phone….So the Walmart was much better. It’s a twist even though I feel it’s use steals away from it being a Card trick or mind reading trick and is a true set up. Dave…Religious Comments and put-down not needed.
It's such a shame, Josie has maybe one of THE GREATEST teachers of all things magic, puzzling and just odd, for her father, and isn't even interested. I don't say that she does not care, because I'm pretty sure that she realizes who her dad is at this point and she appreciates what he does. However, after over a year of episodes of her learning with him, you can tell that she does not go off and practice on her own and is really not into magic and sleight of hand. She has not remembered basic moves that are shown in a few episodes that she is in, and she is terrible with a deck still to this day when she has to perform the trick. Nothing at all is wrong with this, these are great videos, father with daughter. It's just that it's just a shame that she is not really interested magic as much as her dad and she really is not "learning" much. It's like a father pushing football on his son(me) and the son not being into it, wanting to play hockey instead. I also think of the people watching these videos, we would kill to be in her spot and learn from the man for free every day and whenever we needed help. God she is so lucky and I just wish that she loved magic and puzzles as much as her dad. But it's OK, maybe through these videos she will show him something new, hockey is now my father's favorite sport 30 years later, and they connect through that new bond.
I get that vibe from watching now and then. I suppose it's just kids often dont like basking in someone's shadow, or in Josie's case, magic has become a chore instead of a cool activity. Nevertheles, watching the parent child bond in each video is magical in itself
