    "Torn up Black Lotus. Watch grown men cry..." Omg, Brian had me rolling right there. 🤣🤣
    Also, I don't think it gets said enough how awesome it has been to have Josie joining in. As a dad to a little girl, I can only hope and pray to raise a daughter as awesome as Josie and keep as great a relationship with her too.

    • @Kinglink
      @Kinglink 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      At first it was a gimmick, then it was really endearing, now a couple years in Josie is well on her way to "circus freak" You can actually watch the change as Brian taught her to hammered a nail into her head. That was the moment.

    • @mysterious_drake
      @mysterious_drake 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Kinglink you might be right. Her expression of absolute disgust paired with an amazed sense of "holy cow, I'm actually doing it!" was incredible to watch.

    I love these videos bc when most other sites give away the magic it seems to be mean spirited...I love how all of these videos give away the answer, but do it in a way that seems to preserve the fun and spirit of the endeavor. Thanks!

    Joe Diamond should use Josie's line on his website. 'He's so good I don't want him at my halloween party.' I kind of got the first card but was fooled with the second one, this makes me feel happy because I know that I've learned enough to understand sleight a bit better.

    The matching torn cards is a really nice presentation.
    I recognized the principle from the previous episode, but during that previous episode I was a bit stumped (and I also performed that previous trick to some friends, and they had no idea how).

    This trick is awesome! I just want to share:. For those who don't want to use torn cards, this totally works with a normal deck and using the "matching" cards. (7D and 7H, for example). Presentation isn't the same obviously, but is still solid!

  • @glenpolen5562
    @glenpolen5562 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    This is an AWESOME trick. On a FANTASTIC show. Thank you folks for making this happen.
    Can we use the same 2 cards to reveal a match everytime in the pack of torn cards?
    I guess that makes sence, but are there other matching cards in the pile of torn cards, or do we want to show that every half card is different, except for the cards we made the spectator match?
    Are all the torn cards matches to each other,?
    It would be more mystifying to use different halves, but maybe not. Lol.
    What do you think?
    I guess it really doesnt matter either way. Lol.
    I know with the paranormal scene with using pics of deceased people, you could use all different halves, except for the person that you are doing the trick to, you would use THEIR family nember, and of course another picture is needed for someone else .
    Thanks.
    Peace and love,
    Glen

    8:20 It doesn't matter if you pull out the wrong cards, as long as you're consistent (so that they're both wrong), you can just play it off as part of the performance like "of course, since we're in Australia, you should look at the OTHER side of the cards" or "of course, I learned this trick in Australia, so here in the northern hemisphere, we'd have to pull out the OTHER cards, or any excuse to rationalize getting the wrong side". 😉

    Before I get to the reveal, this one strikes me as pretty easy. Joe already knows which card is on the top of the deck and the bottom, so he just picked those cards' partners out of the deck. Josie's actions put the bottom card above her card, and Brian's actions put the top card above his card.
    Done and done.

    Unfortunately it was a little too obvious. I think maybe remove the line ”and put the rest of top”. Not sure how to fix it but maybe just grab the rest of the cards from the hand of the spectator and put them casually on top. Without drawing too much attention to it.
    Edit: Might only be a problem if you know basic/intermediate/advanced magic theory. But everytime someone says: ”put the rest on top”, it screams out the method. Maybe it’s just because, for a spectator, there is very rarely a practical reason to place the rest on top. But it’s very practical for the magician.
