I really, really, really, like this. You could even do this as a prediction one where you make a Prediction Envelope and have the extra prediction card in an envelope. This is amazing. I'll have to look to see if I can get some blank playing cards. This is so amazing. Knowing me, I'd do it with Chloe Moretz movies...hey, she did Carrie!!
You could also have your victim pick a card, do a fake shuffle or whatever (as long as you know where their card is) then lay a few out and have them find their own card in the same manner.

Figured out what was happening along the way cus I was doing the math in my head like hey he's at no point actually obligated to remove 1 certain card here as long as he's got last pick out of 2 so he could totally force here :') Beautiful method though it feels so fair to the audience participating because for them at no point did they not have a choice either and by having them pull through at pointing the last two it kind of does feel like the advantageous position to be in since now you pointed at every card that didn't get eliminated. Crucial phrasing here is of course that you get to point at it but actually not get to decide jack about it but it feels fair until you figure that out :p
I was thinking that I love when those three come together, but it would've been perfect if Jason was also there. And lo and behold! They read my mind and made Jason appear! These guys are good! 👏

So watching this I could see the force happening and I must say it's one of the better uses I've seen for it. Jason in costume was brilliant of course but the trick is so well designed that it can be adjusted to any situation, Food is a brilliant one might do it to my partner. Order Pizza and show them this while it's on its way.

as an added kick if the "mark" does not pick the force card you can literally ask anyone in the room which one to eliminate
Which would probably happen just by chance, so you can just make a "just for added fairness, anyone can pick this one." And it kicks the trick up to near impossible.

Knowing this is an obvious trick makes it obvious how it works, but at the same time if people aren't aware you're pulling it to the end, it's a good scam.

Figuring out how to keep tabs on the Ghostbusters card was the trickiest part. I figured it was put at the top of the initial pile and you just kept tabs on it as it was being shuffled...should have figured it'd be marked. XP
The force behind not picking it was easy enough to work out, at least.

@@JoeDiamondLive Here is how I did it yesterday. I overheard four friends talking about how they share the same ideas, values and experiences (all fled the DDR and live as neighbors until today) and how close this makes them feel to each other.
So when it felt right, I brought out a Deck of Cohorts and asked if one of them wanted to participate in a little mind experiment. I invited the other three to play along but lay the focus on the first friend. All four then selected a random number of face down cards. Then I started the selection process as shown by you. Always with the focus on the first guest then casually following up with the other three. After all cards had been eliminated down to one, I had her turn over her card, a queen and gave her a reading where I focused on the queen standing for empathy, friendship, trust. Officially the experiment ended here.
„Out of curiosity“ and because it would have been weird not to - I asked the other three to uncover their selection. One by one - you guess it - they revealed the matching queens. Totally stunned I read this as a symbol of their strong bond with each other. What happened next was the best part and I had no active part in it: The four friends took over interpreting the result, making the outcome more and more meaningful for themselves.
What would I do differently next time?
Plotwise:
Although it felt right at the moment to do the experiment for one of the friends and have the other three play along, internally I was struggeling for justification until the final reveal. I would like to try how it goes, if I „officially“ announce that everyone takes part in the experiment. Will this create more onvolvement or will it actually feel more like a trick because it is less casual?
Technically:
Like a chess player playing multiple boards at the same time I did the selection process in parallel for all four. Still to me it felt a bit lengthy. With a big group like this I would limit the amount of cards per Person to make the selection process more crisp. My expectation would be that the total number of cards would be sufficent to make the selection feel very random. I have some ideas how this could work but nothing is yet fleshed out.
I can’t wait for Josie to grow to the point where she becomes the master, where instead of learning to perform, she actually is the one to teach! Then Brian and Jason can step down and Josie can usurp them and take their place…And let me guess, drink their blood?
I used to do this force as a number prediction, where I write down all the single digit numbers, and me and the participant take turns crossing out numbers until only one remains.

I would use this against my friends, but they're all too smart to fall for something like this :(
