  • So me and my mate Gazza went out testing my new slow jigging rod I bought from Terry Smith at Jigabite the week before Gazza hasn’t been out fishing for sometime as you know I normally fish on my own just me and the dogs but his a good friend and we decided to go out and put this rod to the test.
    So we hit an early morning lock and headed out across the shipping lanes. See condition was OK a few big swells. It was safe enough for us to go out. We just went a little bit slower so we didn’t get thrown around.
     We hit the rack. I’m really it wasn’t a bad day quite a few big girls showing up. I let Gazza use my Lure Rod the way that I would fish before I bought this new jigging set up just to see the comparison. Gazza is a really good fisherman so it was good of him to do a comparison. I’m sure if he did his own style of fishing. It might have been a little bit more productive, but the whole idea was to see if this new rod was different. We were using the same jigs and techniques but we both had a really good day with a few doubles coming over the side hope you enjoy. The video is just two mates mucking about on a boat, trying to catch a few fish and have some laughs. if you like my stuff and haven’t subscribed to the channel, please hit this link here 👉‪@ManicFishing‬ and thank you so much for all all your support. Please comment on the video and give it a thumbs up if you like it I’ll see you on the next one.🙏🎣🎣

    Perfect session Mark. My favourite kind fishing is SPJ, fell in love with it this time last year. We were out last week, I had 6 Pollock with the best being a 10 pounder - decorated the wreck with a couple of jigs too🙈. We are out again tomorrow, so fingers crossed. I visted Terry at Jigabite the other day, what a nice guy, very helpful and a wealth of knowledge - i will soon be updating my equipment with him. Thanks for video, always look forward to them.

    Well done Mark (and Gazza). Great christening for your new toys. Some beautiful pollock there. While I did watch your video of the shopping spree, I failed to spot why you chose the LH reel. What made you decide to switch hands?

      Because I hold the rod in my right hand if that makes sense

    Hi Mark, love your videos. Just a comment, your boat seems to roll like crazy, virtually every video, I see you trying to get your balance. In my view its too stable, that is to say it rolls port/starboard and returns to the upright very quickly. Maybe you need some more weight lower down below the waterline or of course less weight on top!

    • @ManicFishing
      @ManicFishing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do go out in big swells and I think the 360 can may give it a different appearance I think it’s well stable at sea and if I put more weight in it will burn more fuel and go slower I love it but i’m not saying you’re wrong. I’ve never really thought about it. I’ll be honest, but I really appreciate you watching the videos. You’ve got me thinking now, but honestly, I do find it extremely great in rough conditions.

      @@markchown4910 ok but as long it’s legal to catch a few, and he’s not breaking the law.
      I don’t know the law in UK but in Danmark, there’s no restriction on them, besides it has to be 35cm. 🤷‍♂️

    • @TR4zest
      @TR4zest 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He is not fishing for a specific species. There is no UK limitation on Pollack beyond 35cm. I happen to know that Mark returns nearly all the fish he catches.
