Thank you for this review. You have as if confirmed almost all our misgivings about this watercolour set. We could hear our own voices in your doubts about the "artist" quality of this set. Personally, this set first introduced me to the beauties of Phthalo green and Gamboge. I was expecting that you'd investigate the cracking and fungus problems as well ( my pallette wells are pools of glycerine and all the blues therein were full of fungus) as also the chalkiness. Overall the one flaw too many of this set has pushed me towards more reliable brands.

They actually changed the formulation for that. Now it doesn’t crack but yeahh these are fugitive.

I used both camel n brustro. Pigment wise there is no such difference. But when kept in pan box brustro developed fungus and moulds never had such issues with camel. I am disappointed with brustro

Oh, hey. Honest review as always. Have you tried rubbing the paints using tissue, cause the tubes are chalky too. Also, the lightfastness ratings are fake, so are the pigment information. Every shade is priced almost the same when clearly pigments like PB27 are on the expensive side while PR101 is cheap. Hoping to see your Color pencil review soon. How do they compare with polychromos? Do tell when you have tried. I'm caught up between wax and oil.
Thanks for the tip on using a tissue to test the chalkiness. Would try and do the color pencils soon but I don't want to rush it since it's such a popular product. I want to make sure that I give a true and impartial review.
There is no PB27 in this pack. The Prussian Blue is actually a Phthalo.

@@ChristopherSparks It doesn't stop here. Their "Cerulean" is phthalo blue + white.
And their "Cobalt" is Ultramarine with white. This is decidedly the worst colour in the pack.

Doms supersoft. There is no comparison except for wood quality which doms glossed over.

Yes. Possibly. The binder for tubes is different from pans.

What is your best preference between watercolor and acrylic ?And why?
Watercolors are definitely more challenging since it's harder to do "corrections" but sometime the unpredictability is what makes it more endearing. Acrylic on the other hand are extremely versatile and forgiving. I enjoy both the mediums but lately I have been using watercolors more since I enjoy impromptu sketches.
As a beginner which one should we go for Camel or Brustro?
Camel. They have great quality and are affordable
True. No wow factor given the price. Same old boring shades. Might as well shell some extra bucks to get the professional pan set with an opera or malachite green.
You can simply buy opera and malachite half pans instead of going for the whole half pan set.
you said that it has no extra factor that sets it apart from its cheaper brands like camlin.....does that mean camlin is better that brustro within the range of 1000 rs..??
Oh yes absolutely, the best in Indian watercolour tubes. For the price, it’s a winner.
But I bought them today for my daily practice 🙃

Camel. You will still find most leading Indian watercolour artists still using it.
The packaging is attractive cause they have copied arteza's packaging...waiting for your new vids
