I use these and their metallic gouache for dip pen calligraphy. They work beautifully! In fact, I had initially ordered the set of 12 and now I ordered both the metallic set of 18 and the regular set of 24. I am quite satisfied with all the 3 sets.
Helo! The set of 12 gouache u ordered were they good? I am thinking of buying gouache but I'm on a budget so should I 24 shade one or start with 12 ???
@@bekindyall5555 buy the 12. You can always mix the colours to get what you want. Also, if you want metallic, buy the Winsor Newton iridescent medium. You can read about it and see it on TH-cam.

@@manujagupta5466 hi i have abother question :-), i have round Faber castle brushes for water painting. Do i need to buy separate brushes for gouache or the water painting ones will work??
@@bekindyall5555 I think they might work. Gouache is thicker than water colour. So you might need to dilute the gouache a bit if you want to use watercolor brushes. Depends on their bristles. I haven't used Faber Castell.

They look chalky and dull. Are all colors mixed with white(PW**)? Can you also give a quick pigment information and the lightfastness of the pigments used?
No, the colors don’t have PW. For the light fastness, you may take a screenshot of the swatch card. Hope this helps. 👍🏻

Hi am a beginner i want to learn how to use paint pallete and mix colour in pallete for acrylic and watercolour. How to clean brush while using one colour to another
Immerse the used brush in a big jar of water and stir vigorously till the paint comes out completely. Wipe against a paper tissue or cloth to confirm if paint is removed . If not, again immerse in water and stir. Wipe against tissue. As you start painting regularly, this process with become so automated that it will become spontaneously.

Hi Roshni, One of the biggest difference is that Gouache can be reactivated with water even after they dry up but you can't do the same with acrylic.

Brustro Gouache is one of the most messy paints I've own. I'm not much much into gouache but I bought it just out of curiosity after seeing the hot pink and teal. All works fine but once the paints dry...oh boy are these a chalky mess in the palette! They crack so fast and crumble and settle into all nooks and corners of the palette wells. Also I find them difficult to rewet. I've tried so hard to make them work for monthsss but I'd rather shell out extra on Winsor and Newton than trying all my might to make them work! Good for beginners though!

In my recent experience, I think they've changed the formula because I used the same gouche in 2019 but they produced the result as said in Your comment, recently I repurchased the pack and tried them out and they work great. No longer chalky and flaky
@@adyashapatra4515 that's good news! As per my recent experiment, I added Winsor White Gouache to Brustro ones so by doing so I found them much easier to work with.
@@gargisondhi1640 Honestly I think they repackaged and changed the formul because I have my older set and it's still the same chalky mess and dries out fast, but the new one works like actually gouche and dries smooth not chalky. I've used both of them on 100% cotton 300gsm paper. They've replaced a few colours compared to the old set also. I think you should buy the recent version and test it out, it works great
