When this movie came out in 73, several kids in my neighborhood and I saw it. We liked it and shortly after, a rumor started to spread that "Debbie" grew up down the street from us a few years before. I never believed it, then I met Candy at a car show and she just seemed so familiar I asked where she grew up, and yep, she did in the corner house down the street in FW, TX. 37 years later, mystery solved. It was a good "kid" place to grow up. Lots of kids, none rich, just kids. Yep, she is folks
A great movie... i bought it recently from Amazon... thanks for the upload. I always liked the interaction between Debbie and Toad. and Paul LeMat and Mackenzie Phillips. What a bitchin Babe !!!
As "Debbie," Candy played the ditzy blonde sexpot to perfection. I loved the scene in the movie where she and Terry "The Toad" stop at Mel's Diner for some food. Some guy leans in the window and starts giving her a hard time. Her response to this guy is one of the classic lines in the movie: "If your brains were dynamite, you wouldn't have enough to blow your nose!" I nearly died laughing when I heard that.

I just met her in May at Dead Man's Curve Spring Fling. She was very nice. She gave me a sandwich she had to feed the local farm dog! "Did ya get it. Did ya get it"

The height difference was kinda cool. I always liked that Toad (the nerd) got a date with this super hot blond. The puking scene was a riot!!!
