easily one of the best vids i’ve seen, so awesome to see how much the truck and your channel has grown. this vid was badass how you documented everything. i aspire to be like you
Heck yeah man, I commented on your Death Valley video. As a previous St. George resident thanks for picking up that trash I appreciate it! A lot of folks go off that Washington damn road and dump a bunch of shit. I think it’s a lot of the out of towners who’ve moved in since Covid.
Great video Mike! You have brought that Tacoma back from the dead into an awesome truck! You should be proud of it! I loved the "It falls apart at that speed" comment. Yeah, the Tacoma is not gonna set any salt flat records. Lol
Nice taco, I use 91 octane in mine as well I seen a big difference in gas mileage going from 21mpg to 24 mpg and feels more alive not sluggish as it once did when I was using 87octane , I guess that 3.5L with 11:1 compression ratio needs the higher octane to get the best performance out of it Good work 👍🏻
That big plane was the StratoLaunch , designed to launch rockets and spaceplanes from high altitude to space under the center . I've been to the Mohave airport a few times , I worked on Spaceship 1 for Scaled Composites during the development phase . Sadly the founder of Stratolaunch Paul Allen died in 2018 and only recently have things started back up again , a lot of us in the aerospace field were worried the family would part it out but thankfully it looks like Paul's dream may yet come true .
Awesome video man and stoked the truck did so well. Also, that’s great you’re cleaning up other peoples trash. Helps keeps those places beautiful and open!
You seem like a super cool dude and I love your content. I was watching your fabrication videos and as a fabricator myself I think you did an amazing job on your front bumper especially with the limited tools 🔧 If you ever make your way down to socal let's wheels sometime, I live by bunch of famous places to wheel!!

I’m going on a road trip the opposite way your coming late spring, California to Colorado. I’ll have to look at theese spots you went on looks awesome!
Bro, what a great video and thanks for taking us on that journey...that taco tho! lol Please keep bringing more taco and Tacoma content to the channel.
Yes it is common for the tail lights to pop out due to hard impact of the rear suspension or the rear bumper . It has happened to my buddy because the tail lights are a lot of plastic lol
Awesome video again Mike! Just like you I'm a big DIY'er with no automotive or fabrication skills but I learned it along the way after purchasing a GX470. Would like to meet you one day and maybe wheel with you. Cheers!
Cool videos! All 80s are pretty much the same haha. We have minimal aftermarket support. Mine is a little different than most, but still looks the same from 10 feet away 🤣
You know, I was rewatching thinking, Mike recently dumped the clutch in first into his water heater, maybe parking at the edge of a cliff isn’t the best idea 🤣😉.
I saw your Truck in Cedar on the Freeway! Didnt know for certain so I didnt flag you down, But I saw you lol, P.s. If you get itchy its probably Swimmers itch from Sand Hollow lol
Epic video, Excellent footage, what an awesome trip. Wind wasn't too bad honestly (sound wise) I've gotta get to Moab it's so beautiful. Keep the videos comin' they're awesome 👍🏻
Hey man awesome video! I just got me a 22’ Tacoma off road, she’s still way stock I got the TRD lift and some Ditch lights and a CB radio that’s about it so far. I’m in Northern California up by Shasta lake area we got a lot of good OHV trails and some serious back country west of the town of Red Bluff. Keep the shiny side up and the ole greasy down🤙
Ok so lets talk about that cooler. I have 2 of them and they are deadass the best cooler for the money by far. I've been out at a fish camp of my family's for about a full week one time and it held ice the entire time. Everything stayed at a consistent temperature the whole time. Even here in the scorching FL sun building fence all week long with it in the bed of my truck it was holding ice mon-fri. Love those damn coolers. The only gripe I have with them is they need a vent somewhere that you can open and close. Sometimes the suction they get is so damn strong you gotta pry the lid open. Love the vids tho mike. Started watching your vids when you got this taco and absolutely love this build series. Keep up the amazing work man! (powerline trails are where its at tbh)
I know the tunnels (past Elko), salt flats by Wendover, Spanish fork canyon, the car wash across from McDonald's by Kanes creek. (Live in Utah) When i mentioned the Uintahs, last vid, my bad, i wasn't sure where you where headed exactly, also my bad dumping on Moab. Its just for me, that area, has significantly changed, for my liking (the people). We even tried it just before you, on the 23rd and 24th. Anyway, I am 100% with your style,.. and dig the attitude. Great vid. Stay up my guy.
Great video! Stumbled on your channel awhile back. Couple of questions, hope you can answer. 1. How do you keep the dust out of the back of the truck with a camper top. My gear usually gets very dusty and I have tried a few things but looking for something more effective. Don't like the idea of inhaling road dust when I am sleeping. 2. Anything you have done to cut down on the squeaks from a Tacoma suspension?
Try silicone lubricant, it is pretty good for keeping the squeaks down. Mine used to squeak really bad, I tried WD-40 and it only worked for a few days. I did some research and tried silicone lube, hasn’t squeaked in over 2 months maybe 3 since.
@@ethanspruill7539 I will try that. Did you do anything to ease up on the tension of the leaf springs so as to try and get better lubricant penetration?
1- haven’t done anything to keep the dust out. I just clean every day, pull everything out and brush it off. 2- I haven’t done anything about the squeaking, but I have heard great things about graphite spray for the leafs
Such an awesome video Mike! I want to do the same thing in my taco soon except I'll be coming from Texas hitting Utah, Arizona and Nevada on my way out to Cali. Keep up the videos!! 🤙🍻
Yo man you absolutely have to check out the 4x4 trails around Silverton CO, places like clear lake and red mountain pass have some beautiful views and gnarly trials.
Should come up to norcal this summer for an overland trip across the Smith River. We are planning it now for summer with a few combat vets and overlander lovers
Bro I was on the salt lake Marina point when that fire started and we got stuck out there for 30 minutes and the fire department had to evacuate all us tourists. Wild to see it in your video.
I’ve always wondered how TH-camrs got those driving away shots, I always thought they had to go back and get the camera so I’m glad to see I was right 😂😂
