1973 Porsche 911 RSR (R7) | What it's like to drive the most important racing 911 ever

Opportunities like this don't come around too often. Bonhams|Cars has a very special Porsche 911 up for auction at its #GoodwoodRevival Sale. This 1973 Porsche 911 RSR (R7) was the very car that impressively finished 4th at Le Mans in 1973, only finishing behind a pair of Matra MS670s and a Ferrari 312PB, which were effectively as fast as the #F1 cars of the period.
So, when we heard that we'd be allowed to take the icon out for a drive, saying that we were excited would be an understatement.

The 'feeling' and 'knowing' the car and when to change gears and so on isn't just a race car thing, that's a vintage car thing. Or even a classic car thing. Before cars became modern appliances when the customer (not driver) is deliberately isolated from it all. These days they have to program the feel back in! That car is pure mechanical machine.
