Petrolicious provides a platform for filmmakers to do great auto cinema....that said, they also unfortunately strip the names of the person or team that do the film work, pay them a few quid in return, and puts their Petrolicious brand on it instead...many a great filmmaker have come from these anonymous films...
The R32 GT-R is my dream car but I have to say if I was in that man's shoes and had seen that Porsche on the other side of the street, I would have had second thoughts too!!!!
Bhargav Bose he was looking at an R33 when he was distracted by the 911, which the R33 is personally my favorite GTR, but the 911 is my dream car hands down!
You have built, designed and had built the perfect 911 for you. And in my book that is about as cool as it gets. I am doing the same thing myself. It’s a slow process, expensive and financially stupid and yet blokes like us still do it. Sure I could have had a new 911 but that’s not the same. Either you “get it” or you don’t 👍 Lovely car! As Jay Leno would say “nicely done”
I own one of these....bought it in Germany 10yrs ago. Took forever to get it into USA... The best memories i have with my father were the ones in this car. Beautiful & Brutal...
Thanks for the next story about .... 911! How nice to see an open, interesting and positive person. What a spark in his soul he conveys to the audience his feelings about the legendary model of the 70s! Nice to see another job from the Petrolius team! Bravo)))
I'm very proud to say I had Don Jackson as a father in law and was taught how to work on and occasionally ride in one of these.... as always, ...God speed D.J.
I sincerely hope that All those folks, with the glint in their eyes as they built this car for you have had the satisfaction of driving and experiencing it first hand. That would have been my just reward in this project had I the resources to make this happen. Cheers.
Not sure if it is the history, the design, the engine position, the sound, the handling, or all of the above, but totally understand why petrolheads love the 911.
Not to one up you, but my 82 has 415,00 miles and counting. These are great machines that were built to run and I still get the stares and thumbs up every time it hits the road.
Mr. X thats fantastic. Besides changing the oil, I sometimes get new sparks plugs, distributor cap, and gas cap. I also have the valves adjusted every 25,000 miles.
My 1986 944 also has 260k miles on it and the little 165hp from factory still pull like a champ! It reaches 240kmh easily on the autobahn and I'm not pampering the car either.
bngr bngr Agreed!!! These are not complicated vehicles. These are vehicles that will take you on a journey of passion for a car that was derived from a Volkswagen beetle. Some are scared to dive into these cars, but to those I say life is too short to drive boring cars. Best to you and yours cars.
What an awesome storyline! The sounds and photography are stunning. Thanks for keeping the music under control as well. Kudos to the owner for his vision and passion for building his very own 911.
@@Drifty325i Nice, it's like the one I saw when I was a kid. The closest I came to owning a Porsche was the 67' 912 I made an offer on back on 89', owner changed his mind.
Elle est presque trop propre. Sublime voiture, source d'un plaisir infini,La 911 dans toute sa splendeur. Heureux homme. A toi Camarade Minute Papillon 😊
Hats off mate........glad to see you actually know how how to drive and gave the girl a good workout. Always seems a waste when the owners tootle around and never really know what these machines can do.
WHY do you care what others believe?? Think for *yourself* ! Be glad you have your taste and others don't. Grow up. Respect other people's right to have another taste than you. Praise this car don't make it your personal vendetta against modern cars. What's wrong with you?
@@jamesshunt5123 Good point. But. I like to know and understand things, also opinions. No doubt, Tesla cars sport some incredible tech and, from a more pragmatic standpoint, one might argue a Model 3 is better than this Porsche. And one would probably be right. But the word I would like to emphasise on is 'pragmatic'. Not exciting stuff, that. The only pro EV arguments I constantly get are 'acceleration is better' (who actually cares except 13yr olds?) and 'it's quiet and comfortable and way more practical and way cheaper to run'... Yeah....they're missing the point. Like comparing Mummenschanz to Metallica. Sorry for the essay, I hope you see my point.
I own a Tesla, but i absolutely love classic Porsches, the Tesla and a classic 911 are Two completely different things. Both are awesome in their own way
This is one 9f my favorite channels. It really makes my day when it pops up in my feed. Great visuals and most importantly the sound. Too bad smell is not part of the stories you share. Keep em coming.
Sir, your dream car is my dream car, right down to the color. I'm glad you were able to make your dream into your reality and share the experience with us. Oh, and Petrolicious, you rock!
70's Porsches are perfection and the real deal... they make any newer shape Porsche look like a VW Golf in comparison... there is no better era than pre 80's for the styling. I hate the bumpercar bookshelf front numbers of the 80's 911's...and onwards.
Would have liked to see more detail of the car and build, looks very high quality. Nice colour and attention to detail and sounds crazy, can't be much better on those quiet country roads or track.

Its funny how it is almost 50 years old, but still look like a fresh youngster ! That design never gets old !
It definitely looks old now
That’s also because Porsche’s don’t change much. They evolve. In a timeless fashion.
Old 911 pure and awesome :)
Absolutely. They are stunning and going up in value loads. Lovely to drive.
It is just like me ;-)
Gorgeous car , love the colour ,it sounds magnificent too🙏
Carrera 1972 i was thinking the exact same way!
Not much that sounds better than this! What a glorious dream machine!
Sublime, car, story, film, editing... my only complaint is that it isn't long enough. Chapeau Petrolicious 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Whoever edits and films these videos you have amazing talent sir and a very good eye god bless you

The C10 and R32 are my favourite GT-Rs and in my top ten cars along with the air cooled 911s.
Those vintage porsche are the very best...!

What he was experiencing in that car is priceless. One slip away from possible death. Embrace it, and you will control it.
