Excellent! Thanks for sharing this information, it’s even helped me understand more about modifiers that I knew about, let alone learn about some new, useful modifiers too. Definitely trying out the crease set and array soon. 👍🏽😎🤓
Gotta try camera map, I been working so much with background images and shadow catcher, I bet the reflection and the ambient light will improve with it
@@jakedenham Yes! I didn't know about the Affect-Region and Attribut-Holder modifiers; had only an idea of Camera maps's power by the RenderRam chanel guy, but wasn't fully aware of it's capability in rendering ; and U also made me discover Crease-Set! Thank you again for sharing your expertise! 👍👍👍
@@jakedenham The move to Blender was pretty smooth actually , it kind of felt like having Max and Maya bundled into one, the addons are just ridiculously handy. Yo can make blender into a real monster. Similar to what you would get from Pixar's version of Maya but without the need of the tech artist who writes all the costume tools. Houdini was more of a struggle at first but really comfortable with it now
@@hectorescobar9450 I hear Houdini is a beast. Do you combine it with Blender, or is it that you need Houdini for certain things? I do love the look of some of the Blender add-ons and the community is very active. How are the rendering results? Coming from arch viz, V-Ray and Corona, can you hit that quality? I know V-Ray for Blender is on the way, do you think Blender users will use it? Best resource to learn Blender fast?

100% it will
Awesome, just what I looking for !
Great to hear it, was there any modifiers you didn't know about before?
Nice - I like affect region, simpler than using FFD modifier for some things. Hadn't used that one before.
yep, and much easier to control
Camera map is super cool. I will check if it works the same way like Corona Shadow Catcher Material...
Yep super power, thanks for watching
@@jakedenham Checked - in Corona it works better with Corona Shadow Catcher than with physical material. Image needs to be set to screen.
Thanks so much for sharing that, I will check it out!
This is really helpful 💯

Is Max still alive!?
Certainly is, what do you work with?
@@jakedenham I started with max, then moved to Maya, Now I use Houdini in conjunction with Blender. Looking back, Max seems so old and rudimentary.
@@hectorescobar9450 it still does the business. The UI hasn't changed much in a while. How was the move to Blender?
