Hi there, thanks a lor for the content, but when selecting the corona light and trying to select its pivot, it does not show me the highlighted pivot with the 3 arrowed axis, but only the axis itself. any thoughts?
Awesome video! I would love to see a video on how to decrease render times, my scenes (although fairly simple in lack of geometry) take so long to render out because of the materials (and I don't know what else). .Online doesn't provide much hope, I think I speak for a lot of people here too. What do you think?
Great tutorial! I got an problem with Corona Light, I show the target, and move it, somehow it mirrors itself suddenly, and the target box also shifted away from the target line. Anyone meet same issue maybe?
Its helpful to know how to model, but today it is not necessary, in case something is a must you can commission modeling if you don't have the skills yet :)
very cool - I have only one problem: when I activate the target of my light its continious increasing its target distance by itself. has anybody a solution for this?
Don't use a targeted light, create a rig with a couple of dummy objects as the base. You will get the same effect without the light target giving you a headache.
Using a light object as a base for your "rig" is a bad idea, IMO. In case you need to replace it or change its position relative to the geometry everything instantly becomes way harder than it needs to be. You're much better off making a single look at constrained pair and driving everything based on it... I usually parent a couple of additional objects to the constrained one and filter out all the rotations I need from it.
I agree with you Arcus, great tip! There are a number of issues of issues with using the light as the base for your rig, particularly as targeted lights can be problematic. I used an un targeted light, a dummy object placed at the pivot of the assembly, this was driven by another dummy object I used to replace the light target and a look at constraint. Then the light and the fixture components were linked to the pivot dummy.
this is the most amazing video for 3ds max i've ever seen
Never thought of using the link tool in such an extremely powerful and creative way, hats off master :)
p
This the best tutorial for lighting so far.
Really appreciate it 👍
This is the first time I see, It's very useful for me, I practiced and It worked,
Thank you!
Thanks a ton, Michael! This method is insanely useful and straightforward. And btw - great English!
Keep creating great content like this. Thanks, VizAcademy UK.
Amazing Tut
😍😍😍😍
Big thank to you VizAcademy UK
Beautiful
Love this!!! Thanks for sharing this solution
This is awesome thanks for sharing. I work in events and placing lights is a right pain in the ass. This will save me a ton of time.
Very much useful. Never ever thought about this cool trick. Thanks 😊
Thankyou so much ❤ ... It's really helpful for me ❤❤🤗
Excellent !
Didn't think to select and place with targets...that is useful :)) thank you
Wow. just wow!!!
this is brilliant! always thought there has to be a better way to point the light
awesome video!!
Thanks!
nice tutorial
Hey man this is a great tutorial. I watched almost all of it. I will definitely be using the linking and info from this tutorial.
WOW!!! Amazing! Thanks👍
Beautiful ! Love it so much
Thank You So Much❤️❤️
Absolutely useful, thanks a lot for the great tip!

very useful vid 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
awesome. Very useful! Thank you! My life will never be the same.
I wish i could get this to work in a stable way. SO many crashes with corona when just doing simple things like moving photometric lights.
Always Expect unexpected ideas from master! Thanks
Just in time of need, thank you ❤️
Thanks so much! Very nice!
Wow! Awesooooome 😃😃😃
Wow! Thank you for video!
Brilliant ✨👏
infect very helpful video. thank you sir

Thank's we will consider that!
There is option in vray? Light control like that?
where can i download this spotlight model?
Very good
😍😍😍

非常感谢,学习了。
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Is this 11:50 a celebrity house? I think it is
Genius as always Mike
A sneak-peek of the entrance area :D
10:03 not gonna lie that was pretty good.
Thanks!
good job
Thanks
Amazing! thanks
why can't I do that to Vray IES? it doesnt turn together after I linked them
thank you
really like it
Thank you ^^
thanks!
When working as a 3D visualizer, is it necessary that we should know furniture modelling like sofa and beds, or can we just import them from online?
Its helpful to know how to model, but today it is not necessary, in case something is a must you can commission modeling if you don't have the skills yet :)
goodddddddd,wowwwwwwwwww, thanks
Can we do the same for vray?
Yes, It should work the same way
Great!
Amazing. Many thanks ^_^
I have tried same way for with IES file it did not work for me
There is no reason why IES would not allow that, but you can bypass any problems like that by linking the light to a helper and helper as the light.
does not working for me :?

it works only in this particular case... if the pivot changes everything is fucked up
That's why we setup the pivot :)
