10:17 road trip music is the best … but Shania is Canadian 🇨🇦
Thank you for visiting and showing KSC! I work there ( the space part, not the visitor part). I am so proud when I get to see the vloggers I follow enjoy the fruits of our passion and showcase it for all. NASA is space access and education for civilians, not a military organization or agenda. We're for the people!
My last trip in Mar '06 was the year I homeschooled my son for his 8th grade year. KSC was counted as an educational field trip. We spent 10 days in Florida on that trip from northern NH. A month later, we did Washington, DC. ❤ Algebra 1 and 2 were also tackled that year 🧑🎓👩🏫
I loved this change up to the normal cruises. I wanted it to be longer!
Me too!!!
Same!❤ nice change of pace too!
You made me emotional too! My Grandpa worked in construction at Cape Canaveral during the Apollo program, and as kids (I’m 69 years old) we loved visiting the grandparents and watching launches from Cocoa Beach. I can still remember the sand that somehow came off of us kids in the car afterwards, and in the bathtub back at my grandparents’ apartment. The smell of Coppertone Suntan Lotion is still something I associate with the space program. 😊
Thank you for spending the day with us, we really enjoyed your company. We would love to do the tank car crush, but those prices 😮. Next time we should do Top Golf with you guys
Guys, next time in Florida, grab your lunch at Publix too. A Pub Sub is way better than Subway, and less expensive than Jersey Mike's. Try the Cuban for sure. Basically anything in the bakery/deli will not be disappointing.
Yep, totally agree.
I was just going to say the same thing. Nothing better than grabbing a sub at Publix and something to drink and heading to the beach (with the sub in a cooler)
*grabs keys, goes back to Publix for the second time today lol!
Ben and David, I am learning so much more about Florida as you travel beyond the cruise ports. Thank you.
You guys are so much fun to watch. Thanks! Stay Happy!
The Atlantis reveal made me cry like a baby. Such an emotional event. Growing up in Houston in the '70s and '80s, I was exposed to the space exploration world daily and it's deep, deep in my blood. I never got to experience a Shuttle launch close up, but I did get to see Enterprise on her 747. Being that close to Atlantis was a dream come true.
As a travel agent I just finished my Orlando destination training. I didn't realize there was so much to do in Orlando outside of the theme parks, it made me see the destination in a whole new light
Soooo how expensive is it to get a travel agent certificate to do as a side thing?

Hi Ben and David, it’s only me Louise - I have hope you have had a brilliant week and have been enjoying the weekend - I will settle down and watch the Vlog/video as usual I’m waiting for medication - just wanted to pop in and say a quick hello - I love last week where you took your teddy bear with you. I’m 53 and I keep my teddy bear with me the time - I absolutely love my Sunday nights as you know because I know I get my dose of cruising with Ben and David which I find sometimes better than all the medication I take at least you make me smile and laugh ~ I hope you both have a brilliant week - sending loads of love and loads of hugs to you both ~ Xxx Xxx
I hope you tried the freeze dried ice cream and the space meals. Much love and blessings from Kansas City Missouri Nonna ❤❤❤
Every video I watch from Ben and David I see them becoming more and more Americanized. The more time they spend in the U.S. it makes me feel like they're one of us!
Welcome home boys!
That sucks for them
HI Ben and David! This is pretty awesome since there is so much more to Orlando than the big theme parks. But funny you mention the driving the armored vehicle. It’s not really a tank but a British APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) that carries a big gun. Really great detailed explanations of a very fun time and spending time with family. Thanks as always for a great video!
Thanks for showing what else Orlando has to offer. You two are such excellent travel guides. I hope you will do more of these non-Disney, non-cruise videos.
Guys, given this weekend's events in the US, your vlog was extra special and appreciated (esp, your tour of Kennedy Space Center). Your appreciation of the space program and other attractions during one of our most special holidays here was inspiring , and helped this US patriot feel a bit better about our otherwise troubled country. I am *so* glad you enjoyed your time in Florida, and hope you come back soon. FYI, you were at Sea World on one of the *major* US holiday days, so the staffing issues were certainly not representative since I'm guessing many (many) staffers were not working that day. Still on my bucket list to meet you on a ship in person...safe travels, gents!
I haven’t been to Orlando/Disney since 1990. It’s great to see your last 2 videos and see how different (and the same) it is since then!
Hello my 2 favorite cruise guys....i dont travel any more because of my anxiety an depression. so nice to see the world thru your eyes sending hugs from your adopted gram in Ct nana Happy cruising!
Love seeing you doing different excursions ❤
I live in Florida and loved seeing the non Disney options in Orlando - but Disney is still my favorite! I avoid SeaWorld because of the dolphin and orca shows.
Wow! Kennedy has changed since the late 60's/early 70's! I remember sitting in the back yard in Eau Gallie watching the rockets launch.
Wow!
This was such a refreshing change from the “normal“ Disney experience.
Loved it….Discovery Cove I’d heard of but no idea of the concept…it looked fab and although a hefty price as you say it actually works out fairly cheap especially if you’ve got a family and a couple of greedy monster….( grandchildren for us now) …
The Space Center looks amazing..
Oh David bless you,you must truly love Ben …doing all those terrible rollercoasters….I do not do them but the rest of my family LOVE them! True love, hope Ben appreciated it…!!!
Thanks for this blog…..brilliant as always 👍🇬🇧
My uncle worked at NASA in the control room under the launch pad. I went to the space center with him in my family when I was about 10. It was fascinating to see it with someone who worked with those astronauts and rockets. So much fascinating history.
😂 I have to tell my friend about the Tanks. When he was a kid, his family lived at an Armory. His Dad was in the Army. Anyway, my friend hot wired a Tank and parked it on the Commanders Lawn. 😂
He was then sent away "
to bad boys camp. "Military School".
As someone that suffers from motion sickness, I empathize with David. I don't believe people free of this condition can understand how a rollercoaster can ruin the rest of one's day. My sister and Disney Parks partner is like Ben. She loves the coasters and has pressured me to ride with her. I find that pressure to be truly unkind and told her as much. We have since come to an understanding and spend part of our Parks days apart so she can ride the coasters while I do other things. Maybe Ben and David should consider doing the same.
To be fair, Ben joins David on all of David's "high" elevation situations even though he has acropbia. They can always say, "No!" to one another; however, they tend to support each other as they work through their fears. David would have faired much better had he not forgotten to take his medication as they said.
@@edwardulrich1515 Not suffering from acrophobia, I don't know if being at an uncomfortable height ruins the rest of one's day the way I know motion sickness does. I suspect David would have faired better with medication but, he didn't have it. Of course either one of them can say no. Maybe their conditions aren't as bad as they lead us to believe. We don't know. They seem like a happy, well suited couple. I'm certainly not suggesting that either one bullies the other. I am suggesting that two people can enjoy a park day while not doing all the same things.
I once sought refuge in a theater after a dizzying ride with my young niece, and it turned out to be a virtual roller coaster ride!
I agree. If you have never had motion sickness you can’t understand. Don’t call him chicken, it has nothing to do with that. It has to due with the motion sickness. It ruins the whole day. I can’t even look at waves without getting ill. 😢
@@user-gf6cb4yq8w I know just what you mean. For me, it's not fear of the coasters. It's knowing that their motion will leave me dizzy and nauseous. I'm sorry that waves do it for you. The ocean is beautiful.
Fabulous episode guys. Made a lovely change and enjoyed seeing new adventures , especially the NASA visit which we went to 12 years ago when our kids were little. Just amazing memories of seeing Atlantis again and the huge rockets . One of the best experiences we had in Orlando .
Hello Canadian Hewitt here. I am sure that all of your nephews would like to explore all of this with you.
the Bazza;s are THE best! Being in the tank is a rare opportunity so you get what you pay for for the thrill of a lifetime and what some memories are made from. Looked like a "blast".
The last time I went to The Kennedy Space Center was March '06. I brought my 13 yr old son and my older sister, who had never been to any theme park. The tickets were $33 ea and they were good for 2 days admission. ❤
The rocket you mention as being an Apollo rocket is actually the Saturn V (Saturn 5) rocket that powered the Apollo missions.
Here is a copy/paste from Wikipedia about the Saturn V:
The Saturn V is a retired American super heavy-lift launch vehicle developed by NASA under the Apollo program for human exploration of the Moon. The rocket was human-rated, had three stages, and was powered by liquid fuel. Flown from 1967 to 1973, it was used for nine crewed flights to the Moon, and to launch Skylab, the first American space station.
Thank you both for taking me on a journey I could never afford.
I loved the Kennedy space center. I was a guest of NASA. When we walked in my husband turned to me and said “Oh DisneyLand for Space Nerds”. I loved it.
I'd recommend one of the Orlando dinner shows outside Disney. Our personal favorite is "Slueths", there are others.
Epitome of “out of the box” 😊
I would probably cry at KSC because I remember the days Challenger and then Columbia exploded/disintegrated.
After what happened Saturday, I am reminiscing on the USA changing things that have happened in my lifetime.
My family spent the day at Discovery Cove many years ago and absolutely loved it. We did the same, stayed in Orlando but did not do Disney. Despite having our schedule written down, we mixed up the day of our reservation at DC and when I called they were very accommodating and let us in the following day. It was great, my kids did the dolphin encounter and were so thrilled with the experience. The lazy river is so much fun, the food was fine, they provide everything you need as far as snorkeling equipment etc, the atmosphere was nice, there is limited admission each day, at least at the time we were there, so not too crowded. All in all I'd say worth the price of admission 🌸
I’m so envious that you had a Rita’s frozen custard. Wish I’d been there to let you know it’s best with layered with a watermelon ice 😋
I love that you went to KSC...I'm getting married there next year! :) It's such a wonderful place, full of history. If you ever have the chance to see a live launch from there, do it! So glad you all had fun in my hometown. Next time you're here, hit up a little restaurant spot called Yellow Dog Eats. It's a local hidden gem that's absolutely fabulous! Also, the Winter Garden Farmers Market every Saturday morning is wonderful, and packed with local vendors. :)
I agree it's sad that they are still abusing the animals at Sea World. I know part of it is a wildlife rescue, but they really need to stop with the tricks etc.
We agree, we won't be back!
Love Kennedy space center …giving my age here, but I was there the space shuttle arrived on the back of the retrofitted 747, thrilling. Fun great place.
I hope tried the freeze dried ice cream and the space meals. Much love and blessings from Kansas City Missouri Nonna ❤❤❤
Wow, what a coincidence. Found this video after we had just returned from a day at Discovery Cove. We had a long queue on arrival as well but it moved quickly. We have been 3 times before. This was our first time visiting in the summer. It’s our favourite park. They didn’t try and upgrade us. We don’t bother with a cabana as we spend so much time in the water. Loved seeing the Bazza’s. They are one of our favourite TH-camr’s. We followed all of their home renovation series. Nice to see other things to do in Florida.
OMG OMG OMG. I have been watching them forever following their stuff to do with Tesla cars as I just purchased a Tesla car this past Christmas I’ve been watching their videos on retirement on road trips on Disney on everything. They are an amazing well-balanced well leveled couple and may come off is very genuine and all the information so far has helped me immensely. One of my two favorites on TH-cam coming together.
How fun! It’s been awhile but we did Discovery Cove..we did swim with dolphins and got to take a ride..went to the Kennedy Space Center and SeaWorld. Brought back wonderful memories. It’s freaking hot there. We went in July. Ouch. 😂😂👏👏👏❤️❤️I got to pet a penguin at SeaWorld. It was 15 years ago. Things change. But…it was lovely, as usual watching you. Thank you!
What a lovely place to visit!
Hi Ben and David. How fun to see all the amazing things to do in Orlando. Haven't done Discovery Cove. Loved KSC, no tanks for me, lol. Loved Sea World. (Although it's been a minute since I was there). I don't like rollercoaster s at all. 🫣. The golf looks so fun! Thank you for all you do and taking us along ❤❤
Omg I live in Orlando and did not know about Tank America. I have something new to try now. lol thanks!
We've been in Orlando for about 13 years now, and finally got around to seeing Atlantis. The presentation is just so beautifully done, and the shuttle in general had been such a huge part of growing up in Florida. I was SOBBING! ❤ Love that y'all went to TopGolf, it's one our favorite places! You guys did the local stuff, love it!!
Thanks for the tip on the Brazzas, they actually live fairly close to us, so it's nice to get their thoughts on where to go and what to do!
Last time we did KSC we did the VIP dine with an astronaut, fantastic experience.
I almost miss Florida until you mention the temperature
Loved this video - amazing what you can do in the US sometimes. Never know when that tank driving will come in handy!
Enjoyed your video Ben & David thank you!🤗
WOW! This is an amazing clip. I didn't realize all the fun things to do in Orlando. This has inspired me to save and take an Orlando trip. Discovery Cove, Kennedy Space Center, and Top Golf here I come. I'm just like Ben, I live all things space/sci-fi. Thank you Ben and David for sharing your trips, my top 3 FAVE YTers💖
Ben and David ! I have watched every vlog you post and i must say I so enjoy them , I am 64 and not in the best health but ohh would i love to go on a cruise ,, if just for the food !! you both have helped me see far away places , learn new things and enjoy the sights of the oceans ,, as well as made me so hungry lol !! god bless you both and may we travel many more times to come !!
While watching this, my mind went - I am Ben, this is David, we are your tour guide for today. Welcome to Orlando. Lol.
Love you guys! :)
Wauw thats such a fantastic day out. The space center very interesting 😊
Brilliant time spent with family, and catching up with friends 😊
Have a Good weekend 🥰
Have you ever done Gatorland? It is a must for visitors from abroad. The gators are amazing!
Ben has years a go when he was a kid.
I don't understand why people continue to support places with captive dolphins when it is so clearly cruel
Surviving that Florida humidity with style 😅
Now THAT was an incredible video! What FUN you both had! So glad you had opportunities to explore some of the better things in America!!
Contact is one of my all time favourite’s!!! Good choice Ben !!!
Glad you enjoyed Florida! I live here and never knew about the tank thing! Too awesome! Love your content so much. Gonna become a patreon. You’re amazing videos have helped me decide on a celebrity beyond cruise in retreat and a nuclear Alaska cruise this year! Only thing better would be if you were on it with me!
Kennedy is on my bucket list, i will get there one day i hope 😅
Ahoy! Local Orlando here! Glad you came to visit our great city! HGV's are extremely common here! But I mostly recommend Disney's resorts here (Wilderness Lodge and Coronado Spring is king), Hilton Buena Vista Palace is good walking distance from Disney Springs is fantastic. Aquatica from Seaworld is the best waterpark. If you happen to book with Disney via phone, ask for Zelda as your representative (she is the most informative with disney resorts, as you are disney fans). If you want to have a wild time, go to backstage billiards at Palm Parkway. The complex is full of great restaurants and bars, and the Backstage Billiards Bar is full of great locals from all over Orlando. Happy Travels and big fan of your cruise content! -Jake (Doc Shock)
Always great to hear about other options and hear about your honest opinions of the attractions and cruises. The only issue I have is that Shania Twain is a Canadian not an American. LOL
Glad I can watch this video! I am at the hospital but due to the Microsoft outage they can’t continue with my care so I’m just chilling and waiting for it to be back, watching you guys
Wishing you well. Get better soon. 🎉
@@reneebee8693 I’m okay! Computers are back up at least. Thanks 😊
I love your cruise videos, but today was refreshing. I hope you make more videos like this. You two can film a potato farm and I would still watch and enjoy 😂
At the space center, photos cannot capture just how huge the rocket is that suspended in the museum.
I spent Christmas Day here in 2014 was amazing ❤
If both of you would like to come North and discover Wisconsin, make sure to add Door County to your bucket list. Beautiful scenery, tons of lighthouses and wineries. Door County is known for their cherries! And, don't forget to stop and get a meal at the famous Shipwreck Pub! Yummy.
FYI, Door County is a nice place to spend time to unwind, many golf courses and resorts with spectacular views and hiking trails. ❣️
One of our favorite shore excursions at Port Canaveral.
P.S. Shania Twain is Canadian :) Luv ur channel!!
Amazing presentation of the area! Thanks so much.
Nice video! Fun to see you outside a ship! And I enjoyed your visit with one of my favorite TH-camrs, The Bazzas!
What a great adventure! Glad you had fun. Great video💗
I don’t support SeaWorld. I’ll never go there.
Me neither. I went in 1984, it horrified me, and I am beyond sad to see people still pay to keep it open and there's been another 40 years of captured sea creatures kept like that. Horrible. There's a lot of appalling animal welfare in the USA and nothing improves.
So glad you went to Kennedy Space Center. We went there in June and the kids loved it! They especially enjoyed the Atlantis pavilion and the space shuttle launch simulator, which my 10 year old described as "Epic!" Both kids have requested to return next time we are in FL.
Thanks for the tip on the Tank activity- never heard of it and my son would love it!
Talking of animal enrichment a friend didn't exactly approve this when he couldn't swim in the hotel pool when a gator decided to try and take up residence there
We’ve added so much to our list. Thanks for another amazing video guys.
I absolutely love you guys. If you need an American mama, let me know. 😂❤
We loved the drive to Kennedy space centre, especially going over the massive bridge, space centre was amazing as well, saw a rocket launch
I've been to the Nasa museum in Huntsville, AL. It was a wonderful day. Apollo 11 launched on my 5th birthday so getting to see a real Saturn V was pretty special. They had a number of rocket engines on display from Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo. They weren't cordoned off and you could get up close and touch them if you wanted. I guess they figured if they could handle the conditions of a launch, mere humans weren't going to hurt them. I was visiting a friend in Orlando when there was a night launch of the shuttle. We were a fair distance away and when it launched, it still lit up the sky. A couple minutes later there was this incredible bass rumble that just went on and on. I realized it was the sound of the engines. We had to have been at least 20 miles away.
I love it when Ben said “We usually talk about sausages on this channel” - HILARIOUS!
Discovery Cove is wonderful especially in the winter. The tank experience looks awesome
Motion sickness sucks. The rest of the day is chewable meclizine, Seven Up and popsicles
If you go to discovery cove, get there at 7.30am for best swim time with the dolphins.
Also you get supplied with animal friendly suntan cream which if you swim you must wear. A little goes a very long way lol.
I LOVE DISCOVERY COVE!!! It’s my FRAVORITE!! Lol
I love just knowing you guys are in my neck of woods. So glad you enjoyed yourselves. Xoxo
I really enjoyed this video. I am glad you two had a great time in the Orlando area. I live near by Orlando. I have been to Discovery Cove twice. I absolutely loved it both times.
I love that you went off the Orlando beaten path! You'll have to check out Gatorland next time!
Hi could you give us the name of youtube channel for the lovely hosts in Orlando?
Did you guys edit this after posting to remove the whole sea world section? I watched the video and saw it but then when I went back later Sea World was cut.
Hi, guys - i did the nontheme park things in 1991 and 2009. 1991 was Kennedy Space Center - it was NOTHING like what you experienced! 2009 was SeaWorld and Gatorland. I really enjoyed Gatorland and wish you could have experienced it. They had some cute shows, nice exhibits, and a boardwalk walk above the swamp. It’s probably not as low-key any more.
"Got our American tunes on" then mentions famously proud Canadian musician Shania Twain. ;)
I wanted to go to KSC when we were at Cape Canaveral earlier this year for a cruise but we didn’t have time. Hopefully next time we’ll get to go. Looks super cool.
Boo Seaworld!
I loved this vlog because you both were in my neck of the woods, and, of course, I look forward to Sundays to see your latest. I worked at the Kennedy Space Center way back during the Apollo program and the Space Shuttle planning phase after Apollo was shut down. KSC is located on the Space Coast, a distance from Orlando. I loved your tour of it, especially the area where the original Apollo rocket was located. When my son was young, he got to go to an overnight sleepover where they all slept under that rocket! What an experience!!! I do have a minor correction though. The launch complex is on the Kennedy Space Center which is on a massive amount of land. Daytona Beach is 124 miles from KSC. Did your bus tour go to the launch complex? I know it used to back in the day.
Awesome video!
Love seeing you guys in my sunny FL!!! I loved the dried ice cream from Kennedy Space Center when I was a kid - try natural springs next time such as Weeki Wachee and go to a Bucees!! Gotta love Publix chicken and subs :)
