If food is not up to scratch, inform the waiter and give them a chance to get the galley to fix it. I know you've said you don't like complaining, so try the word "informing" instead. We've just been on P&O Aurora where one of the main meals was poor (stone cold), the waiter whisked it away and reappeared with a fresh piping hot one, turning a negative experience positive, he handled it so well. I've also changed choice in the past when presented with something sub-par and it's been resolved without a problem. I know Carnival corporation is playing Ker-Plunk with the cruise product and if we don't inform them, they'll keep pulling more sticks away. Recent experience indicates Royal Caribbean are beating P&O in the technique of ruining the Main Dining Room Experience to push guests into the extra cost venues.
Ben’s sausage ordeal at 14:00 was a succinct comedic show if I’ve ever heard one. The silver lining solace in this food bonanza was you boys and your sense of humor. Absolutely lovely
[4] BIG SHIPS versus SMALL(ER) SHIPS: Ben and David, if I could add one more topic to the comments: your latest experience, of the many that you have helpfully shared with us in this channel, seems also to be confirming that the bigger the ship, the blander the service tends to become and the worse the food-quality becomes, on average, versus smaller and older ships with highly experienced employees. I recall that you made similar comments when you went from smaller cruiseships to mega-ships within the same fleet (e.g., Royal Caribbean cruiseline). It made me decide not to go on large ships (e.g., over 4,000 passengers) any time soon . . . E.g., my last cruise (Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas, the oldest ship in that fleet) was extremely memorable in many ways, including discovering that both the service and the variety and the food-quality in the Main Dining Room were so good that I stopped going to the buffet even for breakfast and lunch.....after decades of always going to the buffet-deck for the morning and afternoon meals and then always going to the main dining room (or an occasional specialty restaurant) in the evening. In the process, I rediscovered the beauty of having repeated good relations with the staff, who quickly recognised me by face (anywhere on the ship) and often by name, including some who came to greet me even when they were not assigned to my table. I was constantly amazed how, among 2,000 guests, they remembered my name, which items I preferred, and even which drinks/food I had ordered earlier that day or the previous day!!! These are the little touches and gestures that make a cruise truly memorable and encourage discerning guests to return to the same cruiseline and even to the same ship over and over again. For instance, after trying a few different tables in the M.D.R., when I found an excellent Waiter, I asked to be seated in that Waiter's section every night for the rest of my cruise.....and it happened. I could easily imagine living on a cruiseship in retirement......
Another honest review. Thank-you! I recently watched another TH-camr’s review of this ship and she made very little mention of the poor quality of food and also said that the maximum wait time to get into restaurants (via the app) was around 15 mins. I agree with your review and would not be impressed with the quality of food on offer either. But I question some of the motives behind some of these TH-camr reviews. Your channel is one of the most honest. Keep ‘em coming!
I've never heard good things about their food. Same with MSC. I don't know what keeps TH-camrs coming back to these two cruise lines. It's possible they do other things well, but when the food scene is off, for me, it puts a huge damper on the entire vacation.
@@TVHouseHistorian, I guess that with MSC it depends on luck and the itinerary. I recently saw a series of videos by a Brazilian globetrotter couple who chose to return home from Europe on a 21-day repositioning cruise on MSC (Genoa to Santos with several stops), and they loved the food. They found a few of the specialty restaurants not worth the price, but even those weren't altogether bad, just overpriced, and they totally praised most other restaurants and the buffet as well.
I almost wonder if P&O purposely serve terrible complimentary food so they can make money off the paid dining options. Thank you always for being honest on your reviews!
This is why hubby and I always cruise on Viking. None of this nonsense. It’s all inclusive, no nickle and diming you. No horrible shows, just enrichment lectures and nice music, piano, violin, and even a planetarium. The food is the best, including sushi and sashimi and great restaurants. Even wine. If you want spirits, it does cost extra but we don’t drink spirits. We won’t cruise on any other line.
Would never cruise Viking again. No barrista onboard, same three steamed vegetables every night, bland desserts. We love azamara, oceania and celebrity.
Thank goodness for the drag show! Was that the only color on your cruise? It all looks so beige. Food, decor. I don't need a "party" cruise, but a little bit of glitz can go a long way in perking me up. Good review. Thanks.
You guys are like the "dream team" of cruising videos - so easy on the ears! Plus, everytime (almost) I watch one of your videos, I get really hungry! I wonder why? Lol!
We were on Arvia the same time as you. We had the afternoon tea in the Epicurean and walked out without finishing it. We thought it was a rip-off. The Keel & Cow was one of our favourites for breakfast. If you'd sat round the corner where the bar is then no-one walks past. The 6th Street Diner was excellent. You must have had bad chefs when you went.
We loved the food on Arvia…the only extra pay ones we did were Keel n Cow and Beach House..We liked them. We only ate twice in the MDR’s…the food was good. Both gala nights. The 6th Street Diner was awful…as was the over priced food in the Limelight club. The best coffee was from the Buffett. We take out own tea n coffee and have them on the balcony or just in the cabin. The Quays fish n chips was fabulous… I love black pudding… The sea day were good for us…we don’t do quizzes,or classes. We played cards,Skipbo and slept. There’s nothing like snoozing with sound of the sea as you sail along. Hubby binged watched a series and I spent a lot of time up at the Beachcomber Pool…. I loved the ice cream from the Skydome. We have afternoon tea from the buffet a lot. They even supplied me with raspberry jam as I’m very allergic to strawberries. All the staff were very polite but some were MUCH better than others!! 👍🇬🇧 We’re looking forward to sailing again on Arvia….
Ben, you always crack me up when describing sausage!! Too funny!! 😅😂 Love you both and appreciate your honest reviews. Watched several of your vids - finally subscribed. ❤
Really appreciate your honest critique. Not only did some of the food put me off but what's with P & O allowing a male guest be shirtless in the buffet. Very rude and unappetizing. Ben, your humour is outstanding. You always give me a laugh, especially when I had to look at those colourless dishes. P & O could also take some lessons on 'presentation'. Great video nonetheless.
Both of your voices are so pleasant, and you don't inject artificial energy with yelling like a lot of channels. Sometimes I leave your videos on in the background as nice ambient sound. Thank you.
This review was hilarious! It's nice to see you both have some levity and humor despite the bad food at some places. It appears that maybe the cooks are not tasting the food they make or checking temperatures before they serve the food. That cheese sandwich was a discrace. I'm so glad to see you ended it on a beautiful ice-cream tea party.
I was amazed at how many things on P & O are not included in the cost of the fare. It would make it hard for some people to afford to cruise with them. Thanks for an unbiased review.
Well, you should try it before making your mind up. Differences being drinks are a vastly cheaper on board and gratuities are included in the price you pay for the cruise and there is no added service charge anywhere, which is much better value for your £. You also need to factor in that this was a cheap cruise at time of sailing, despite what they paid for their suite. Having been on many cruises on different lines since 2000, they are all similar in their offerings, although some do the presentation better than others. I'm not a P&O champion, but have done a few in that time and I was on this cruise, and have been watching Ben & David for years, I have something to compare against their review, which doesn't ring true with regard to my experience, for example they gave no mention on the sea days of guest speakers or dance classes making it sound like there was nothing on apart from a bit of trivia. I'm sorry to say it, but they gave a jaundiced review, maybe because of their experience and interactions with some unsavoury characters on board during the cruise.
Hi Ben and David. Seems like you spent so much money on specialty dining. I have to admit, the Proper Tea looked amazing. As well as the ice cream trays. Thank you for taking us along with you and for all your hard work.❤❤
Having twice cruised on Arvia - First sailing over the notorious Christmas time a nightmare, and then last April. I think the answer for around the ship is that’s the atmosphere is nothing just flat. Music! That would lighten up the mood. Thanks guys!!
We did a European cruise on Arvia which had 7 sea days, which we chose so we could relax. We found a lack of entertainment during the day - on other ships we were dashing between sessions and trying to fit in lunch. And it was a struggle to sunbathe because of the sunbed hoggers and you couldn't swim because the pools were full of kids. It's a great ship for families and extended groups, but for traditional cruisers, it doesn't work.
I am on a D&B binge before summer to verify the perfect ship! I can’t get over the blood pudding! I LOVE a proper English breakfast! I giggle every time Ben gets the pudding on his plates 😂😂❤❤ LOVE YALL! Happy sailing!
L'or coffee was originally called Carte Noire in the UK, my late hubby loved it, it was all he drank but he always had it strong, so strong the spoon could practically stand up on its own! x
We cruised on Arvia's maiden cruise. Can you believe it was a lot worse than this. It was Christmas and New Year and it made the British newspapers about how bad it was. We complained when we returned and received a good credit towards another cruise on Ventura in September.. After that we doubt we will be cruising P and O again. Thanks as always Ben and David for the reviews and the laughs.😂
To be fair, many maiden voyages are like that, regardless of the company. New ship, new staff and new processes for everyone to learn. Personally, I’d always steer clear of early cruises.
@@PlayerWellKnown We actually shouldn't have been the maiden cruise but the maiden cruise was cancelled. We paid a very big premium as well because of the time of year. We have been offered a cruise at very minimal cost as compensation which we are taking.
I was on that one too. Missed out on our Christmas pudding 😂 I thought it improved a huge amount after Xmas Day though and ended up really enjoying ourselves and leaving a really good review.
Stumbled across your channel and am hooked! Love the humor. Obviously I couldn’t taste the different foods you ordered on this cruise, but many of them looked very unappetizing. Glad to see you found a few edible items here and there.
I was on this cruise and had a very different experience to yours. I didn't have a bad meal and some dishes in the Meridan MDR at lunch were excellent. My most disappointing meal was a steak at the Keel and Cow which was OK but cooked more than ordered and not brilliantly seasoned. Overall I was happy with my food over the fortnight and am looking forward to another cruise on P&O later this year. Everyone has their own view and experience and it was interesting seeing yours.
I have been on Britannia a found the ship a bit underwhelming to be honest and the food was just OK, nothing special. Accessible cabin was a good size, bigger than MSC Virtuosa but nowhere near the size of marella discovery 2, which was huge. The layout was strange and getting to MDR meant a lot of changing lifts. Eric Lanlard afternoon tea really was special, strange wall art in epicurean which look like a sperm montage, really weird!
Your issue with seating is exactly what I found recently with Cunard - I found it SO annoying that everyone would just sit in the pub over lunch, making it almost impossible to get food. The bigger annoyance was that you then felt everyone was watching you eat, as they were there to just relax, rather than eat anything during the lunch service, ha! I'm surprised (and sorry) to hear that you didn't get good coffee - I haven't cruised with P&O for a few years, but I did enjoy their coffees back then considering the price I paid for my cruise!
I absolutely love you guys!!! I binge watch your videos when I’m getting ready to cruise. I love how candid and honest you both are with your reviews!! Getting ready to go on the symphony of the seas for the first time and your videos were such a help! ❤️❤️❤️
My husband and I love watching your videos. They are extremely entertaining and highly informative. Thank you…it makes us excited for our upcoming Disney cruise.
Love your reviews. We did the Ice-cream afternoon tea on Iona this year and I agree you only need to order one. My only issue with it was their wasn't enough flavour variety. All vanilla, chocolate and hazelnut. Which normally wouldn't be an issue but with this volume of food it could have used one of their sorbet lollies to cut through the sweetness of it all. So for me it's a one and done. But no fear there are lots of delicious sundaes to try at ripples on our next cruise.
You two are hilarious, Ben you crack me up with the way you say and your past stories of sau sage lol you both have a way of making ppl feel like we could be your best buddies. Ive never taken a cruise but after what you two tell us about your experiences , im putting it on my bucket list thank you both
I was laughing in the beginning when they were waiting for brunch. Ben was hangry, I was thinking give him at least a piece of bread before he turns into Godzilla 🥰🥰🥰
As always, Ben and David, the vlog was entertaining and informative. Question: how did the P&O rectify your subpar meals? Did they refund your "extra pay" charge or didn't you complain?
I Love your food reviews 😃😋😛 This review was great and much appreciated. The food on a cruise is so important and can make or break a reservation. Which 3 cruises, in your opinions, have the best or at least better food? Which River Cruise ship or boat has the best food? I'm thinking about taking a Viking Ship Cruise next time. I've been on the Viking River Cruise and was very impressed with the whole experience. I absolutely love your reviews and look forward every Sunday for your next one 🥰
I must be one of the few Americans who enjoys black pudding. I didn't get to try it until October on the Celebrity Eclipse, and it was delicious! I am jealous that you got to have a full tea, and I won't complain that SOMEONE had coffee instead. . Thank you for an excellent video, as always!
@@michaelthompson6885 after seeing Ben complaining about it, and knowing that friends in the UK had mixed thoughts, I knew I had to try it just to say I did. My motto is "try before saying 'yuck'."
The first time my husband took me home to meet his parents his father sat down at the table for lunch with no shirt on. And he was super hairy, back as much as chest. My future mother-in-law gave him the most amazingly lethal death glare I’ve ever seen to this day 35 years later. Without a word he got up, left the room and then returned…wearing a shirt.
[1] Thanks for your honest reviews. You just reconfirmed my own decision NOT to try P & O cruiseline, including the new Arvia, even when it offered boarding from nearby Antigua and was christened in my beloved Barbados....attended by the Prime Minister, no less! However, I suspected from all my research that a British cruise/line/ship would be quite bland in cuisine and quite plain in the entertainment department.....and everything that you presented confirmed those sentiments . . ..
We're not going back on them until the reviews show an upturn in quality. It's the cheapest cruise you can get from the UK but there comes a point when the standards are so low it just isn't worth it.
I love the food reviews, as a Mom the whole question “what’s for dinner” gets maddening and sometimes I get different ideas from watching so thank you!!
Interesting how inconsistent P&O is, I spent this Christmas on Iona which is hypothetically the same menu as Arvia, but compared to the food you were served it was unrecognisable, genuinely nice, varied and well prepared hot food, not that mush you were given!
P&O's food standards have slid further and further down over our last few cruises with them. The best we could hope from them was a "meh" and not being hungry anymore. It's a cheap cruise, but there's a limit, especially since the food is one of the main pleasures on that kind of holiday. The two oases in the desert of blandness on the Aurora was The Glasshouse and the chippy at The Quays.
[2] Other major cruiselines (e.g., Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Carnival) offer afternoon tea for FREE....plus several complimentary options.....versus having to pay so much for so many venues on this P & O ship....and there is always good food on the other cruiselines that I have experienced. Yes, a particular item on a particular menu might not delight entirely, but there are so many other options freely available that I could always find interesting and pleasing dishes to select....and then the menus changed every day for up to 12 consecutive days! . . . .
Oh Ben - you and your sausages & balls 😉 We have a really hard time paying to go to the restaurants, and stick with the MDR and buffet etc. Especially with the increase in the price of cruising. We have not cruised since before Covid, and are hoping we are still happy with the included food choices. We've only cruised 3 cruise lines so far, but have always enjoy the food choices. Fingers crossed as we plan on going on RC to Alaska this summer and it is our 1st time with them. - Coreen
I’m Canadian. Your food video showed so many weird food items I think I might actually lose weight on a P&O cruise. Question: did you guys gain weight on this cruise or lose weight ?
I doubt they lost any weight. Being on the same cruise as them, food was like any other cruise line with a lot of options and not much different to food found on other Carnival and Royal brands. I was surprised by their comments as it's as if they were cruising on a different ship to the one I was on, but you can always find something you won't like, if you look hard enough...
Thank you for another excellent review!! You are always so informative, interesting, and enjoyable to watch!! Love your food descriptions!! (Food not looking so appetizing!)Thank you for all you do!! You are the best!!!😊❤
Lol at the NCL having the worst coffee. It is so bad! I can't believe you found worse. Some NCL ships have Starbucks, but we hate that, too! We bring our own and make filter packs lolololol. We thought it was us, but we're glad to see some agree. Love NCL, but the coffee is HORRIBLE! 😂😂😂😂
Oh My Goodness! Your comments about the sausages made my day! I haven't laughed that hard in quite a while! Turned my whole day around. I'm having trouble believing that there can be coffee worse than what you get on NCL. Btw, on some cabins on NCL you can get a coffee machine in your room, and if you double up the coffee packets that come with it you can end up with a drinkable cup of coffee.
Ben, David, when we last cruised, we had a travel companion that, because of a disability, had weak arms and found the spring closing the cabin door to be so strong that it was very difficult to enter. She needed our help to enter her cabin Can you look at ships with this problem?
Love your videos guys, you should be on the telly. I do think you are a bit hard on P & O as they are the best Value out there.with good Entertainment, low drink costs, no gratuities, and the food is OK. Been on three different P&O ships but we are trying Celebrity next time - lets see the difference. Keep up the good work. Dave Andrews
[3] Considering all the other options available in the cruise-industry, it would have been a horrible let-down to pay 50% more for Arvia than for my other three aforementioned cruiselines and then to get WORSE food and worse service.....The Guest Services dept. would have been busy with patrons like me filing immediate complaints and demanding refunds....I would never let shoddy stuff pass me without giving quiet feedback and requests for improvement to someone somewhere right aways.....and, if necessary, escalate the report until you find someone who can fix the situation. When I did this on the other cruiselines, I got immediate apologies and genuine efforts to improve on whatever I reported was not satisfactory, be it something on my plate or something in my room or something in an event/venue on the ship.
With this TA cruise compared to the many others you've done, it is fair to give your ratings. You're well experienced on what to expect and can say from personal experience how the competition does theirs. P & O should be taking the feedback seriously. So should others with less experience. These trips are free. Step up P&O or get left behind.
I am not sure what I think about all these food up- charges. I love Celebrity (Equinox) where EVERYTHING I eat was excellent. I upgraded to speciality dining for dinner meal at a very low cost after being on board. I did eat in the dining room once and it was as great as speciality. My last one was a 12 day to down as far as Columbia leaving Cape Canaveral. I do love Celebrity.
After paying for our cruise holiday we hate having to pay extra once you board the ship to get decent food and entertainment. If the cruise companies are not careful they could kill this industry 😢💰🤐
Apparently these kind of business tactic seem to work for these cruise line to make a profit. so it won't going anytime soon. and if they do go broke, other cruise line will take their business with better services. it won't kill the industry coz ppl love to cruise. the demand is always there.
L’Or coffee pods are sold in supermarkets here in Australia. Thanks for your food review. Very informative and entertaining as always. Didn’t look too appealing, I agree! I think I would have little trouble maintaining my weight on that ship! 😂 Not too many temptations!!
Will defo not be cruising P&O. This really highlights how bad it is. You should not have to pay extra to get decent food. We cruise with Disney and the food in all locations is exceptional. Thanks for highlighting this. Another great video.
Will be avoiding P+O thanks guys for these videos. Can’t imagine the horror being stuck on a TA cruise 9 days at sea? How did you survive? Appreciate you taking this on so we don’t have to.
We just got off Iona on 13th Jan , the New Year cruise , we only went to the MDR 4 times in 14 nights including NYE where the food was very good except the dessert, I don't think P&O a great on desserts except their summer Berry pudding in the buffet. We ate in the Olive Grove twice , food very good but service slow. Beach house twice, lava rock steak amazing Glass house once , didn’t like it compared to Ventura and Britannia where they have main courses as well as the Tapas type dishes , on Iona the lamb cutlets were delish. We ate in Sindu once it was bloody awful and most expensive meal yet on Ventura it was my best meal and loved it . Thank you for your input re Arvia , we are onboard end of March , I think a lot of time it is down to the chefs onboard on any particular sailing . We also had a Conservatory mini suite on Iona but on deck nine , 9623 , the cabin was lovely and perfect location above the Olive Grove and Quays , I watched a video on TH-cam of cabin 9621 , it showed that the cabin was completely private and you could only be seen from above on the balcony as the roof extension of Olive grove gave you privacy from the promenade deck . Wish pics could be posted in comments to show what amazing views we had , would book that cabin again in a heartbeat. We have done over 150 cruises with a few lines and found nothing is perfect on any of them but if something is wrong with food the crew are more than happy to replace/change dishes... Edit - I had the sushi dish for lunch on Iona and it was better presented than David's, I wished I had ordered 2 😂
If the food is not up to standard then complain and get them to sort it out and sort out the problems,if you don’t say anything if it’s not right then it’s your fault. Keep it real and say something to give them a chance to sort it. Yes the food did look crap but say it is so it gets sorted. I am on there in September this year.
That cheese sandwich reminds me of the photo from the VERY failed Fyre Festival LOL!!!!! Definitely some quite bad food in the main dining room which is very unfortunate.
i think you have the best show, i have a tip for everyone who ever goes to the buffet.get and use plastic gloves and wear them on the hand use use the utensils. i dont care if you wash your hands 10 times.the person before you that used those utensils before you just passed all their germs to you.think about it.
Interesting that, reading through the comments, quite a few seem to have been on same ship/same cruise as yourselves and not had an issue with the food? The keys will always be serving the three options including roast, even in the caribbean, as thats their purpose. I agree that the restaurants seem to be lacking in “ambience”. Feels a bit too “airport lounge”
I am the same watched another vlogger on here and she loved the food and thought that the roast dinner in a Yorkshire was brilliant she loved it and had it 5 times on her cruise
@@suegordon6805 yeah we have 2 kids. It's nice because the kids go to the imagineers club and they never want to leave so we have all day to do what we want like trivia. and in the evening we get to do the fun activities with the kids. The kids are actually staying to enjoy trivia and games too so their time is starting to split a little bit between their club and fun stuff with us. We just have lots of options
We are two adults and have only sailed Disney, 30 cruises. Tired of the menus on Disney, but dont go away hungry. At least, Ben and David, u wont gain any weight on this cruise, lol. So sorry for your experience.
Love your reviews guys. We also sailed Arvia ( on the infamous maiden voyage) following many 6 other wonderful p and o cruises. Sadly it was our last p and o. We agreed with your food reviews. Plus feel since covid the cruises standards have slipped with this line. Also seem to be targeting families more and we are not looking for a family holiday these days.
While this is probably only the 5th or 6th piece I’ve watched on your channel, I want to say that this was the funniest! Of course it was educational as always, but Ben especially showed a good deal of humor! Love you both!!
It’s not the cabin steward’s job to tidy up your mess, so you SHOULD tidy up so they can get in & get their job done without having to move your stuff out of the way! Don’t feel bad about doing the right thing David.
When we were onboard we had an awful experience in the restaurants. We ate mostly in the 6,,th diner, the keys. The main included fine dining was the most unorganized underwhelming experience ive had in 12 years cruising. They were excellent at saying no. All i wanted was a soft drink.😳 Pur meals were ordered at same time (6 of us) but arrived spread out over bout ,15 minutes.

As an American, I guess I should be happy that P & O doesn't want my trade.
So, that's P&O off the list.
Thank you for the information.
It looked like 9 days at Bluewater shopping centre.
I've never heard good things about their food. Same with MSC. I don't know what keeps TH-camrs coming back to these two cruise lines. It's possible they do other things well, but when the food scene is off, for me, it puts a huge damper on the entire vacation.

I'm pretty sure MSC do that!
That was my thought as well. How disappointing.
I am disappointed by you how much you've slated the food on Arvia. The food is nothing like you say on there.
They don't serve terrible food. I've been on more than 20 P & O cruises and I'm surprised how they've slated it when the foods nothing like I know.
@@carolr9301 sounds like you all had very different experiences.
Viking rocks, the sushi and sashimi was available every night, as was the crab, shrimp etc. The wine flowed and I had a wonderful time
I hated food on viking. It was disgusting
OK if you can afford it.
Sounds a bit boring to me
Once you go Viking, you can’t go back!
The Quays fish n chips was fabulous…
I love black pudding…
The sea day were good for us…we don’t do quizzes,or classes.
We’re looking forward to sailing again on Arvia….
You two are Absolutely Fabulous my wife and I love you guys: British humor , some snark and honesty!
Ben, you always crack me up when describing sausage!! Too funny!! 😅😂
Love you both and appreciate your honest reviews. Watched several of your vids - finally subscribed. ❤
Just commented on the same. It always cracks me up.
Our thoughts exactly
Both of your voices are so pleasant, and you don't inject artificial energy with yelling like a lot of channels. Sometimes I leave your videos on in the background as nice ambient sound. Thank you.
Food gross
Ya know guys, when I'm having a rough day you put a smile on my face. Thanks!
The presentation of all of the food made it look like something I would order at a drive-through.
@@johndarnell7651 Fingers crossed for you that the next one is better!
@@PlayerWellKnown Thank you.
I was on that one too. Missed out on our Christmas pudding 😂
I thought it improved a huge amount after Xmas Day though and ended up really enjoying ourselves and leaving a really good review.
Stumbled across your channel and am hooked! Love the humor. Obviously I couldn’t taste the different foods you ordered on this cruise, but many of them looked very unappetizing. Glad to see you found a few edible items here and there.
Afternoon tea on Princess is nice, not quite as fancy, but it’s no cost.
Enjoy your cruise (Happy Cruising!)
I love their humor. Makes me laugh.
Love your videos and your honest critique of the food!
Oh FUN! Going on a “Brunchacle’ Date with Ben& David. Love you Guys!
I got very used to the Argentine blood sausage - similar to black pudding but in a sausage and grilled on the grill. I cannot get enough of it.
@@michaelthompson6885 after seeing Ben complaining about it, and knowing that friends in the UK had mixed thoughts, I knew I had to try it just to say I did. My motto is "try before saying 'yuck'."
I had it in Scotland and liked it
When I found out what it was made of, I wouldn’t even try it. I don’t eat meat or fowl. Just fish, tofu and tempeh. Hubby eats only chicken.
It’s been said before, but people who go to eat shirtless have no idea that it’s very disrespectful and plain wrong!
He did the sensible thing obviously 😄😄
I'm slowly working through all your videos. You are both just absolutely adorable 😍😍😍
As an American “authentic American food” got me rolling 😂
"Cheesus, Mary, and Joseph on a hill" - I love your sayings!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can watch you 2 again & again - especially after a difficult day of work = to cheer myself up! Thank you!🎖🎖🎖🌟🌟🌟🌹🌹🌹😎😎😎
So many lovely comment worthy moments in this video as always… but David’s outfit at the ‘ice cream place’ afternoon tea is perfection 🎉
Love you guys, you make me laugh with all your innuendos. Happy Cruising xoxo
I won't lie, the novelty of hearing someone talk about "authentic American food" tickles me as an American. I feel exotic, haha
- Coreen
Loved this food episode Please continue this
We’ve sailed on Arvia twice and your reviews of the food on offer match ours. I love the ship, but the food could be much improved and quite easily.
Even in ‘the face of adversity’ - you wonderful fellows smile on through…….Well done!🎖🎖🎖🌟🌟🌟♥️♥️♥️😎😎😎
I love the commentary on the full English breakfast. It made my day!
That cheese sandwich is competing with Fyre festival for worst cheese sandwiches of all time. What is that!?!?
Oh My Goodness! Your comments about the sausages made my day! I haven't laughed that hard in quite a while! Turned my whole day around. I'm having trouble believing that there can be coffee worse than what you get on NCL. Btw, on some cabins on NCL you can get a coffee machine in your room, and if you double up the coffee packets that come with it you can end up with a drinkable cup of coffee.
They’re gay and I’m not, but the sausage descriptions are kind of turning me on.
We have not tried cruising yet. Do they check your bags when you get back to the ship in case we want to buy a bottle of wine to bring on board?
Love the channel guys, you do great reviews. Regarding the food and any other issues, do you ever complain?
Yes, we complained about the food in the MDR as we sent it back. We also complained about our cabin and spoke to a manger.
Ok, going to stay on this channel if only for the sexual innuendo jokes. Omg, I love this guy.
so glad to see you back. I have waiting for you and i felt lost at sea without a volleyball.
When we were on Arvia, I was disappointed not to go to the Diner, but watching this, it seems that I didn’t miss anything!
L’Or coffee pods are sold in supermarkets here in Australia. Thanks for your food review. Very informative and entertaining as always. Didn’t look too appealing, I agree! I think I would have little trouble maintaining my weight on that ship! 😂 Not too many temptations!!
L’Or pods are also sold in every British supermarket and are one of my favourites, so I don’t know why they haven’t heard of them.
Will defo not be cruising P&O. This really highlights how bad it is. You should not have to pay extra to get decent food. We cruise with Disney and the food in all locations is exceptional. Thanks for highlighting this. Another great video.
I just came across your channel and am pleasantly surprised. Love the videos.
9:33 omg! I always tidy up before as well. My husband laughs at me. hahahahaha!!!!!!!
Beach house twice, lava rock steak amazing
Glass house once , didn’t like it compared to Ventura and Britannia where they have main courses as well as the Tapas type dishes , on Iona the lamb cutlets were delish.
Love , love your video. Just wonderful. Thank you for sharing. And of course for your critique of the culinary delights.
i think you have the best show, i have a tip for everyone who ever goes to the buffet.get and use plastic gloves and wear them on the hand use use the utensils. i dont care if you wash your hands 10 times.the person before you that used those utensils before you just passed all their germs to you.think about it.
Thanks for another great review. Ben and David you are outstanding.
I watched two other vloggers on this same cruise and not once was bad food mentioned, they enjoyed it
I am the same watched another vlogger on here and she loved the food and thought that the roast dinner in a Yorkshire was brilliant she loved it and had it 5 times on her cruise
Thank you for your total honesty ❤
I always LOL with yr videos… You are such a pleasure to watch, informative, and concise.
Thank you. Haven’t been on any P&O cruises.
Disney cruise food is really pretty good. Some of it is amazing. The sweets are SOOO good
But there are kids on that cruise. That’s why hubby and I like Viking as it’s only adults.
I love a cruise with lots of sea days, but not if the cruise line doesn't have any activities planned, what is P&O thinking? They're off my list.
It’s not the cabin steward’s job to tidy up your mess, so you SHOULD tidy up so they can get in & get their job done without having to move your stuff out of the way!
Don’t feel bad about doing the right thing David.
My question is, with the issues with the food you had did you mention it to the staff and give them the opportunity to fix it?
When we were onboard we had an awful experience in the restaurants. We ate mostly in the 6,,th diner, the keys. The main included fine dining was the most unorganized underwhelming experience ive had in 12 years cruising. They were excellent at saying no. All i wanted was a soft drink.😳 Pur meals were ordered at same time (6 of us) but arrived spread out over bout ,15 minutes.
This is such a great review and look around of the ship … I loved watching it! ❤
